We visited Galveston for a family vaction with parents in their 70s, siblings and their spouses, and our children ranging in age from 12 to 29. The large common areas (family room/dining room) were great for gathering to work on puzzles, playing games, or to watch TV. The ping pong table was also a hit with everyone. The pool was also very nice and the option to put the umbrellas up to provide shade was key in the hot afternoon sun. The room layout and number of beds were as described and served our group well.Unfortunately the house had apparently been trashed by prior guests (window blinds damaged, toilet paper and towel holders falling off, etc.). There was a large pile of trash in the back yard when we arrived. However when I brought it to the attention of the property manager they had it removed promptly. The cleaning crew had the sleeping areas ready and the bathrooms were clean but the "smoking area" the prior guest created right outside the front door didn't give the best first impression. The neighborhood looks rough but we didn't have any problems, and it is convenient to several attractions. For the money we spent we expected more from this property. Hopefully they are able to get it repaired for future guests to have a better experience.

Decent Place, But Room for Improvement

We recently stayed at this rental house, and while it had some potential, there were a few issues that made our stay less than ideal. The house needs some small repairs, and the floor was dirty when we arrived. However, the biggest concern was the lack of consideration for our family's needs.When a leak on the roof needed to be fixed, the maintenance person showed up unannounced at 9 PM, which was completely unacceptable given that we have kids. We had to reject them and reschedule for a more suitable time. As guests, we expect a certain level of service and respect for our family's schedule.Unfortunately, this experience fell short of what we'd expect from a premier host. With a bit more attention to detail and consideration, this house could be a great place to stay. As it stands, we'd recommend potential guests be aware of these issues and plan accordingly

Family Galveston Trip

Over all the house was great for our family get together and was big enough to accommodate the amount of people we had. The house is secluded and plenty of privacy. The pool is a decent size and lots of outdoor space. The host was very easy to communicate with and in a timely manner. There were some things that could've been better... the room layout should be explained better on the listing because the full room layout wasnt explained until after the booking and made sleeping arrangements difficult. The pool grotto was not working and neither was the jacuzzi. Also beware that there is an alligator in the front yard pond. Overall me and my family loved it and everyone had a great time! Would recommend staying!

Property was wonderful. We did have an issue with one of the air conditioners, but they were able to get someone to come fix it in a few hours on a Friday evening. Kids really enjoyed the ping pong table. Would stay at this house again.
