Step aboard this beautifully restored 1915 Stevens Motor Launch, a unique landlocked vessel with river views and vintage charm. Nestled under a canopy of live oaks, this enchanting retreat transports you to Florida’s maritime past. It’s a nostalgic escape waiting for you to live its story.

Parked permanently by the river and tucked under a magnificent canopy of live oaks with a postcard-perfect view, this enchanting escape offers a truly unique slice of old Florida charm. Begin your journey by climbing five steps to the aft deck, then descend two steps to a welcoming bench seats.

Slide open the vintage cut-glass doors to enter a cozy cabin designed for comfort and character. The V-berth sleeps two snugly beneath an adjustable butterfly hatch, ideal for stargazing or letting in the morning light. Inside, you'll find:

‱ Sink and half bathroom tucked beneath the entry steps
‱ Convection stovetop set atop the original potbelly stove
‱ Mini refrigerator and basic cooking essentials
‱ High-speed Wi-Fi and a smart TV for modern convenience
‱ Complimentary captain’s rum served from a converted copper gas tank

Outside, the aft deck opens to a peaceful veranda along the seawall—perfect for morning coffee, birdwatching, or sunset cocktails as fish leap across glimmering waters. A grill is available for outdoor cooking, and a shared heated shower (with washer and dryer) is just steps away.

I’ve been a proud resident here for over 25 years, but my journey in hospitality began much earlier—back in Cooperstown, NY, where I grew up in a Victorian Italianate home built during President Lincoln’s time. My parents ran it as a summer tourist home, and that’s where I first learned the art of welcoming guests and creating memorable stays.

I’m an author and retired publisher, now fully devoted to maintaining this unique property and curating experiences through my Explorers Vacation Club. The club includes two distinctive retreats: a 64' Gibson Motor Yacht docked on the water and a cozy 28' Thor Motorhome nestled on the grounds. Each space offers its own flavor of adventure, comfort, and charm.

I take pride in blending history, creativity, and hands-on care into everything I do—from the way the spaces are designed to the personal touches that make your stay special. Whether you're here to relax, explore, or simply enjoy the Florida sunshine, I’m here to ensure your visit is smooth, inspiring, and unforgettable.
