Space for everyone, fully equipped and gorgeous! We favored the porch and walking the areas nearby. Just down the road is a self serve sweets shack. Beautiful views!!

Holiday with extended family

Big house, very spacious, beautiful lake & hill views. Lots of kitchen utensils. Really enjoyed the stay. Kids loved it.

It was a real honour to be able to stay. Andrew is the perfect host. Making sure we had lots of options of things to do and places to see before we arrived and while we were there. Between him and his wife they have made this very special house ideal The house is perfectly situated right on the lock. We made lots of plans but actually spent most of the time just sitting and watching the landscape change.We saw deer, birds of prey, otters and lots of other wild life. The one thing we saw very few of were other people which was exactly what we were after. We really didn’t want to leave.

Amazing Holiday

Beautiful location with stunning views. The house is amazing with everything you need, and we had seals swimming in the bay in front of the house and we returned home on the bus one day and an amazing stag was resting on the driveaway! Just a brilliant holiday with friends.

The house was great for a large family reunion like ours. Great layout of rooms, allows you to have essentially 3 independent smaller groups. Very well equipped and comfortable kitchen. The host was also very attentive and quickly solved any question we had. Highly recommended.

Absolutely Gorgeous

I cannot express how stunning this home is. Roomy, comfortable and well equipped. The host is very communitve and helpful. We had a most enjoyable stay and we would visit again. Side note, be prepared for one track driving.

Beautiful home in a lovely peaceful location

Bonawe is a lovely location. Plenty to do in the area & close enough to take various trips to the nearby islands, visit Glencoe, Oban & Nevis. This is a gorgeous home, sensitively renovated with all mod cons & plenty of space for a family of all ages to be together & separate spaces to hang out too. Very well stocked kitchen. The location is very peaceful. Some distance to shops but owner gave good advice about pre-booking Tesco delivery.

Had a great week!

A great property in a fabulous location and very well equipped too. Andrew was extremely helpful and responsive and we were made to feel welcome and valued. Red deer stags walking past your front door, a sighting of a pine marten, eagles soaring overhead and an otter swimming in the mirror like water. A little taste of paradise!

A very lovely spot

We - a group of three families - had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at this house. It's lochside location was beautiful and collectively we enjoyed many hours scanning the water for the sea otters which sadly proved elusive, although we were visited by seals, heron and red deer. There was ample room to accommodate all of us across the various living spaces when the weather turned inclement. Would recommend without hesitation.

AS SOON AS YOU WALK IN THE FRONT DOOR ITS WOW. ANDREW HAS THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING AND WE HAD THE BEST FAMILY HOLIDAY. 6 BATHROOMS WAS SUCH A LUXURY.A BEAUTIFUL VEIW OUT OF EVERY WINDOW WITH A COUPLE OF STAGS GIVING US A SHOW MOST DAYS.

A Christmas Getaway

The approach to the property alone sets the scene for an experience. The property is lovely with so much room and many amenities. The view across the loch was breathtaking. Lucky enough to see deer and seals from the bedroom windows. The house stayed warm through the storms which even for the area were pretty extreme according to the locals. Absolutely nothing requires complaint it was a brilliant property. Definitely great for hide and seek lol

Great Christmas at Tigh Na Breac

We had a brilliant Christmas and made lots of lovely memories. We paid for a piper to play on Christmas eve on the balcony which was great with the scenery. We seen seals and otters, went fishing and went on a train ride. The house is beautiful and very well looked after. I would recommend to anyone. I hope one day we get to go back. Also, Andrew, the owner, has been brilliant before, during and after our trip. Thank you

Perfect house in charming landscape

We spent our Easter-holidays in the house - we were a group of 12 persons, so many rooms and bathrooms, kitchen, and every kitchen has a perfect equipment. We loved the music cds, the girls played the piano and the guitar. Sonce we had such a wonderful weather, we just once made fire at the chimney place... We were lucky with the weather, 1 week without clouds, we have been tracking around stunning places, taking a lot of photographs and we even saw the "Oban whale", who stayed for 10 days in Oban port. A lot of pictures we will not forget quickly - it was wonderful!

Beautiful and truly awesome!

This house is HUGE! It offers privacy for larger groups. The home is fairly isolated, but in the best possible way. We travelled through the region without difficulty. There is abundant wildlife and walking paths around the house. Down the road a wee bit there is a honesty box with homemade baked goods. This area of Scotland is a huge hidden gem. I recommend hiking to Gylen Castle ruins on the Isle of Kerrera, a short ferry ride from Oban. Circling back to the house, I can not think of words to adequately express how wonderful it is!

Outstanding and Memorable

We have rented homes and have stayed in grand hotel suites around the world. This home neat Oban is especially memorable. The location is spectacular as is the view. It is near Oban ( 20+ minutes drive) and is centrally located in Scotland. We used the house with our grown kids to explore the western coast of Scotland. Each evening we would return and cook a great meal in a Professional Chefs kitchen and talk about our day while watching the late summer sun set over the lock that inspired important western lititure while feasting on some of the finest seafood freshly caught off the coast of Oban. We have travelled in over 100 countries and this is our handfew whe want to return. If you want to experience the best od Scotland as as Scot I recommend staying here.

Gorgeous House, stunning location.

Firstly, can I say how fantastic the house is. It has been converted to a very high standard using top quality products and we did not want for anything. You can telll that a lot of hard work and soul has gone into the refurbishment and we absolutely loved the house, it was perfect for our family holiday. Set on a lovely loch in a quiet area, the scenery is stunning and we were privileged to see the otter on numerous occasions. It did not bother us that the house is fairly close to the quarry, we did not notice it. The owner, Andrew, could not have been more helpful, a pleasure to deal with, and we'd like to thank him for allowing us to stay in his fab house. We had some lovely walks and plenty of fishing. Even though it was pretty wet, we had a fantastic holiday and didn't want to leave. Cannot fault this property ant would love to visit again one day.

Wonderful, Spacious House

I rented this house with my siblings for my parent’s fiftieth wedding anniversary. We needed a place that could sleep nine comfortably and wanted to be somewhere near Oban. Tigh na Breac met all our expectations. The house is beautifully furnished and does not even seem like a rental. It is more like you are staying in a friend’s house. The house is extremely spacious. It took me most of the week to remember how to get around to the various rooms. We had some very heavy rain while we were there and Andrew was ringing us to make sure everything was ok. The house is quite secluded almost at the very end of the lane on the north side of Loch Etive which is what I was looking for. It does take a bit of time to get into town so make sure you plan accordingly. If I need another large home in the area, I would definitely return to Tigh na Breac.

A small slice of heaven

It’s hard to put into words and do justice to the beauty that is Tigh Na Breac. This was the most idyllic place to spend a weekend, and we could have stayed forever. A group of old friends and I had planned a weekend away together after not being able to get together for a long time, and this was just the most perfect setting to do so. The house, location and Andrew’s help made everything even more enjoyable. The Scottish weather even played in our favour and we were graced with beautiful sunshine for most of the weekend. I cannot recommend a stay in this beautiful part of the world more. It was an easy drive from both Edinburgh and Glasgow, directions given by Andrew prior to check in were helpful and easy to follow. The house is stocked with everything you could need, especially the kitchen, and this is an ideal place to come with friends or family. The discovery of the small ‘pink shop’ as we dubbed it about a 15 minute drive from the house was very helpful for any little extra bits we needed. All the rooms, bathrooms and overall cleanliness of the house was perfect when we arrived. The terrace that wraps round the front of the house serves as a perfect sundowners spot, one night we even spotted a stag walking right past us on the road! There is a great selection of activities, walks and so much to do around, we did a fishing trip one day that was much enjoyed by all. A huge thank you to Andrew for being such a helpful and gracious host, we will be back!

Stunning house close to Oban and beautiful country

The house is incredible. There was only 4 of us so, although there was way more house than we needed, we loved being there. The house is clean and incredibly well stocked. I loved going out on the deck at various times of the day and night to watch the Loch and see how it changed and what wildlife was visiting. Sometimes the water was very calm and other times the wind would create interesting ripples across the surface. We had sunny days and one very foggy morning. We saw different types of birds including two beautiful, white swans that visited our bay one morning. Andrew and Annie were wonderful answering our questions both before and during the stay. It is an easy drive to Oban as well as the Highlands. We really enjoyed Oban. It is large enough that there is plenty to see but not so large that you can't drive your car in it. It was easy to drive in and we always found parking. My husband wanted to take the Oban Distillery tour. Although I was indifferent, it turned out to be really interesting and I enjoyed it. It's also worth a trip up the hill to visit McCaig Tower. It's the structure above Oban that probably makes most people think of the Roman Coloseum. It has a great view of Oban and the waters beyond. All in all, Tigh na Breac is a great place to stay. Andrew and Annie are great and the location is a wonderful starting point for exploring the highlands.

Absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous property. Andrew was very friendly and helpful from the time of booking right through to the en8d, providing plenty of useful info to help us with our stay. The house was very clean and spacious meaning everyone could have their own areas and alone time if needed. The kitchen and dining area was well equipped with everthing you needed.Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom, some leading out to the balcony with a beautiful view over the loch. Perfect for a relaxing evening watching the wildlife. Although it is situated next to a quarry you wouldn't notice, the only disturbance was a few lorries going back and forth. I would definitely go back.
