Wonderful Cottage, Beautiful Setting, Lasting Memories

Feochan Bheag was the perfect place for our family holiday. The location is simply wonderful, peaceful and surrounded by beautiful scenery, yet only a short drive from Oban and everything we needed. The cottage was spotlessly clean, exceptionally well equipped and felt like a real home from home. We especially loved the secure garden, which was ideal for our dogs, and the outdoor space was perfect for relaxing and making special family memories. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Feochan Bheag and would love to return in the future.

What a delite Roomy cottage with loads of floor space well proportioned rooms all ove property Clean and presentable And although the single travk road can be dicey a great base and location to discover the west coast highlands Would highy recommend this property

A fantastic place to stay

We have just returned from our second stay at Feochan Bheag. It is a fantastic place for families to stay. A quiet location but only a short drive from Oban and within easy reach of the isles. Very well appointed, the house has everything you'll need, including outdoor baths which are an excellent way to relax. We'll be going back in 2026.

A lovely house in a cracking location

Feochan Bheag is an excellent holiday home to take the family; the house layout lends itself to socialising and being together. It is is in a beautiful location, within a very short drive of the amenities of Oban. We loved it so much we are looking to go back next year...

Perfect getaway for a group

The house is an ideal size for a large group and the living area really lends itself to socialising. The surrounding area is also stunning, even on those grey and wet days. A short drive to Oban, and while on a single track road there are plenty of passing places making it stress free. The house manager is also extremely helpful and welcoming should you need to contact him!

Idyllic surroundings

Beautiful surroundings, lovely walks, an enchanting waterfall, explored Kilmore cemetery. Only downside is the windy, single track road to get there. Comfortable home with lots of light, well appointed kitchen, fun to relax in the bathtubs outside. Short drive to Oban which we really enjoyed. Book the Kehrara ferry in advance!

beautiful location, very quiet

A great house, modern, with lovely large open plan kitchen/seating area. Well equipped and comfy, with room for dogs/wellies/washing. Swimming towels would be a good addition, to save the wonderful white ones provided?

Lovely week und a wonderful place

The house is perfect for family holidays. It is really well kept and clean. We felt very comfortable. We did not need them all but I really always appreciate when it says ten beds and there are ten beds and not just 8 plus a sofa in the living room. That’s extra points - so 11 out of 10 from our group :) maybe even 12

Disappointing got cost.

The outside of this property is very disappointing. Garden unkempt. Garden furniture terrible no comfy seating which you would expect from a property in this price range. No privacy with outside baths as public footpath goes behind property which isn’t mentioned within property description. The lounge and kitchen are very nice but bedrooms need a bit updating. No long mirrors and the mirrors provided are far too high couldn’t see in them.

Big house with everything you need

This well equipped house is perfectly sized for a large family get together in the lowlands of Scotland. Being 10 mins drive to Oban's great shops and restaurants is a big plus (however parking in Oban can be an expensive for longer than 3 hours). We found the property to be clean and quiet being in the small friendly hamlet with a small waterfall within 5 mins walk. Only complaint would be not enough toilet roll supplied when fully occupied but this was a very minor issue being so close to Tescos in Oban. Another bonus was a lack of midges in the valley which meant we could enjoy a BBQ outside in the sun without being eaten. Therefore I would thoroughly recommend a stay if you have a family big enough the fill the house.

Amazing house for a holiday!

Our group LOVED this home! It was perfect for what we needed. We loved the large kitchen and dining area. We specifically loved the two living spaces - it was great for our group as we had time together every night. The communication with West Coast Cottages was spectacular before and during the visit. There was an issue with one of the showers on day one, and the owner of the house came to fix it the next day. There wasn't enough toilet paper provided, so we had to buy our own. Overall, the place is perfect! We loved being outside behind the house. In the separate living area at night, if it is sunny that day, the light streams in and it is beautiful! Also, there is a waterfall a few minutes up the road that a few of us took a chilly dip in one morning. It was SO cold and SO fun. We were recommended this place by a family that stayed there on holiday in 2021. We hope to come back again!

Fabulous property and peaceful location

We had a 2 week holiday in August at Feochan-bheag for a family of 10 (all grown ups plus 2 small dogs) The house is lovely, well stocked with almost everything required for self catering, ample parking for multiple cars, loads of sofas and very comfy beds. Its a very long, single track road driving up to the hamlet where the house is but its a very well maintained road (if you get to the cattle grid you've overshot by about 4 houses) in the photos it looks isolated but there are about 8 properties in the hamlet. Agents managing the house were also very fast to respond to queries/ issues too. Lovely touches like a welcome hamper, blanket throws, firewood for the georgous log burner plus kids games in a cupboard and bowls for the dogs. The outdoor 'bathtub ' hottubs seemed strange at first but are a fabulous idea as your not sitting in someone else's water! We had a lovely walk and swim in the waterfall pool 10 mins up the road, and saw loads of wildlife in the field behind the garden. Only issue I'd say about is if you're going with small/ medium dogs who like to explore, the front gate isn't dog proof as they can slip under it so we kept ours on a long line. Certainly isn't anything to put you off booking here though as all the family thought it was excellent.

Foechan Bheag - large self-catering home near Oban

Feochan Bheag is a fantastic, well equipped large holiday home. It is beautifully furnished with large settees in a bright airy lounge and also has a large open plan kitchen/dining area. The bedrooms and beds are also very comfortable. Glen Feochan itself is a beautiful location and is only 15 minutes from the vibrant town of Oban. One suggestion would be to provide some more comfortable seating for enjoying the large outdoor patio and garden.

Superb accommodation for a family holiday.

Our recent stay at Feochan Bheag, with our extended family of 3 households, lived up to all expectations. The accommodation allowed all to have their own space, with superb communal living and dining areas. During the holiday we celebrated 3 significant birthdays, booking the private chef from Argyll Exclusive private dining experience, who produced a superb meal and a highly memorable occasion. The huge kitchen was a dream and allowed us to enjoy the spectacle of a chef at work. The property was spotless throughout and beautifully located in the most peaceful setting, hills in front and forest behind, but close enough to Oban for all amenities. Plenty of local walks, 10 minutes to a wonderful waterfall, and close to other locations of interest. To be thoroughly recommended for larger group holidays.

Wonderful holiday house in beautiful location

Wonderful holiday house with plenty of space for our family of 7 adults 1 child and 2 dogs! Very well equipped house. The downstairs bedroom has a very squeaky bed which was a bit annoying but was otherwise very comfortable. Really enjoyed the tranquil location. The large enclosed garden is an asset with walks for the dog by the river easily accessible. The only thing missing is a hot tub on the patio- this would have made our holiday 6 star!! The house is close enough to Oban and it’s amenities (10 minutes drive away) yet feels like it’s really in the countryside. We had a Heron in the field behind the house and saw deer close by. A highlight was being able to wild swim in the pools just beyond the nearby waterfall which was spectacular! Thank you West Coast Cottages for your great customer service. We would definitely come again- especially once that hot tub is installed!

Stunning holiday home.

A comfortable and well equipped home. Excellent layout and very practical for a large family holiday. Set in a superb quite rural location. The local neighbours were particularly friendly and gave us loads of information on the local area. We particularly liked the nearby waterfall. The children were overjoyed when asked if they would like to feed the lambs and collect eggs by the local farmer.

All we hoped for

Feochan Bheag is impeccably managed. Its setting is perfect as long as you come by car which was our case. The enormous kitchen made the comfy living room almost superfluous. We would have needed more time than we had to explore the immediate vicinity which was right on the edge of beautiful scenery. All of us greatly appreciated that everything worked: including hot water and Wi-Fi. The area around Oban is our favourite part of Scotland,for the friendly town itself and its situation.
