Un bijou caché à cÎté de la place.

Ce bijou cachĂ©, Ă  seulement un pĂątĂ© de maisons de Taos Plaza, fait partie d'un ancien style adobe de style hacienda qui abritait autrefois des sƓurs travaillant Ă  l'Ă©glise Notre-Dame de Guadalupe. RĂ©cemment rĂ©novĂ© avec goĂ»t, l'intĂ©rieur a Ă©tĂ© conçu avec le confort et la commoditĂ©, et dispose de hauts plafonds, d'une cuisine bien Ă©quipĂ©e, de chĂȘne, d'une cheminĂ©e kiva et d'un salon confortable. Un vieux pommier et un prunier se tiennent dans une petite cour herbeuse qui se sent presque mĂ©diterranĂ©enne dans sa sĂ©rĂ©nitĂ©. Il est situĂ© sur une rue Ă  sens unique Ă  seulement un pĂątĂ© de maisons Ă  l'ouest de la place Taos.

Gamme de gaz et une grande collection de fournitures de cuisine. Réfrigérateur porte-portes français, micro-ondes. Laveuse et sécheuse pleine grandeur, salle de bain chauffée, cuisiniÚre à gaz et foyer kiva. Chauffe-plomb électrique dans la chambre, ventilateurs de plafond. Linge de lit de qualité supérieure et édredon et oreillers; un confortable matelas en peluche / ferme Queen. Canapé-lit complet avec matelas mousse à mémoire tampon. Internet haute vitesse, HDTV, DirecTV, Blue Ray / lecteur DVD, systÚme de divertissement audio surround, streaming NetFlix, systÚme stéréo Pandora / Spotify / Apple Airplay. Petit mur sûr.

L'emplacement de l'appartement est l'un des atouts majeurs. De la porte d'entrée, une promenade de cinq minutes atteindra douze restaurants, des dizaines de galeries, le meilleur café de la ville (The World Cup), Shree Yoga Studio, l'épicerie de Smith, le quartier commerçant de Bent Street, Ledoux Street, et bien sûr, la place Taos.

We had a great stay- it was the first big snowfall of the year and we appreciated that the host shoveled our parking spot and the walkway to our casita. The place was lovely, and we enjoyed the cozy little fireplace.

The Best Casita is an amazing place to stay in Taos! Clean, quiet, plenty of room, everything you need for a comfortable stay. Excellent location and charming casita in the heart of Taos

This secluded little casita is quaint and historic but tucked right in the heart of downtown Taos. It was well appointed to accommodate our family of 3 nicely. We loved the outdoor courtyard, wood floors, fireplace and heated bathroom floors. It was a treat to experience Taos here.

Quiet and stylish

The Best Casita was great! The location and parking were excellent, and the casita was beautifully and thoughtfully furnished. It had all the modern conveniences with a nod to the original adobe. Loved entering through the peaceful courtyard.

This is such a lovely spot in the heart of Taos. It’s quiet and quaint with the perfect Northern New Mexico touches combined with modern conveniences. The list (in the guest info book) of recommended things to do is a great way to see the area. We loved hiking in the ski valley and along the Gorge. Exploring the plaza and downtown on foot was a delight from this location as well. The local teas were a treat and such a thoughtful way to welcome a guest. Thank you for another delightful stay in your Casita—we will be back!

Walkable to Taos Plaza

Good location near the main shopping Taos Plaza, and close to the main road (64), and walkable to several restaurants. Very clean unit and the sleeper sofa made the additional bed we needed. A nice bonus was the heated floors in the bathroom.

Super Host!

Marcus was a phenomenal host. He provided great recommendations for area attractions and dining. The location was fantastic and Marcus provided so many nice touches like wine, yogurt and tea. It was a lovely stay and we'll be sure to bookmark this condo for future trips!

Womderful Casita in Taos

My wife and I had a splendid five day holiday in Taos. We stayed at a beautiful one bedroom Casita a block from the Main Plaza. Marcus was a wonderful host and welcomed us upon our arrival. He showed us around the place and gave us great advice on things to do and places to eat in Taos. The Casita was extremely clean and comfortable and had all the amenities. We hope to come back!

Great place great host

The Padre Martinez property is perfect for our visits of two to three weeks. Marcus is a congenial and generous host/owner and we have thoroughly enjoyed our stays at this property.

I'm the luckiest guy I know. I'm truly thankful to be a part of this beautiful community and also be able to travel often and far. I've been welcomed into people's homes all over the world, and though I've been fairly nomadic most of my life, now for the first time I have my own place, which I have renovated and am offering as a getaway for fellow travelers to enjoy.

I grew up in Snyder, Texas, surrounded by pump jacks and fields of cotton. In the summers when I was a kid, my family would pile into the Good Times van and hit the road for weeks, escaping the 110 degree West Texas heat: Vermont, Florida, Wyoming, northern California, and all in between. When I was fourteen I spent a summer in Germany on an exchange program, and since then I've been hooked on travel. I studied biology writing in college and after graduating worked for the Fish & Wildlife Department in Alaska for a summer. I then worked in Nicaragua as a carpenter for over a year and slowly made my way to Taos, New Mexico, where I've lived for almost thirteen years.

My most recent journey was a 16-month solo motorcycle trip around the world and to the bottom of Africa.

Taos has a lot to offer for a lover of the outdoors like myself. I spend a lot of time in the nearby mountains, skiing, hiking with my dogs, fishing, biking, and motorcycling. I've always enjoyed many sports, and I regularly play soccer, tennis, basketball, and volleyball.

I've always been somewhat of a nomad, but I've found my home base in Taos. I try to live simply and wanted a small but comfortable place in town, but I've never been attracted to typical condominiums. I wanted character and history, something with personality that I could make my own. I knew when I first saw it that this property was exactly what I had been looking for.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The location of Best Casa is remarkable. It is just far enough from the main roads that you can't tell your in the heart of Taos, but so close to the center that just about everything you need is within walking distance. The apartment itself has an old-world feel, with double adobe walls and classic mid-century windows. I've always thought of the kitchen as the heart of any home, and this kitchen is the focal point of the apartment; designed with simplicity and functionality in mind. Though the apartment still has a historic feel, it also features high-tech comforts that you won't find in most Taos adobes. You can access and control your music wirelessly through the entertainment system or send movies or videos from your portable device to the HDTV. The tile floor of the bathroom is heated (very nice for bare feet in the morning), and there's even a heated mirror that won't fog up after you take a shower.

When I completed the renovation, which took five months, I was very satisfied with the result, but I didn't truly fall in love with the place until I stayed there myself for a week. Best Casa is truly a hidden gem.
