Best Casa: une escapade paisible au coeur de Taos

La meilleure maison est un bijou cachĂ© Ă  seulement un pĂątĂ© de maisons de Taos Plaza. Il fait partie d'un style historique hacienda adobe, ĂągĂ© de plus d'un siĂšcle, qui abritait autrefois des nonnes travaillant Ă  l'Ă©glise Notre-Dame de Guadalupe. RĂ©cemment rĂ©novĂ©, l'intĂ©rieur dispose d'une cuisine de style terrestre avec des fenĂȘtres orientĂ©es au sud conçues pour permettre Ă  la lumiĂšre du soleil de chauffer la salle de façon passive. La cuisine spacieuse est entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e et comprend des touches uniques: un comptoir fabriquĂ© Ă  partir d'une piste de bowling, des comptoirs en bĂ©ton personnalisĂ©s avec des planteurs et une planche Ă  dĂ©couper en cerisier intĂ©grĂ©e. Le salon a de hauts plafonds, un tapis de laine en peluche et une grande tĂ©lĂ©vision intelligente. Le canapĂ©-lit haut de gamme est trĂšs confortable.

L'appartement peut accueillir quatre personnes, et si vous avez plus dans votre groupe, mon autre gßte VRBO, n ° 462128, est juste en face de la cour.

Il y a un petit espace extĂ©rieur trĂšs privĂ© avec un patio en brique et une pelouse herbeuse. Une cheminĂ©e kiva extĂ©rieure se trouve au coin de la terrasse, et vous pourriez peut-ĂȘtre presser quatre personnes dans le spa Ă  3 personnes.

Gamme de gaz et une grande collection de fournitures de cuisine. Machine Nespresso avec mousse à lait, presse française, cafetiÚre à goutte à goutte. Four grille-pain. Réfrigérateur porte-portes français, micro-ondes. Laveuse et sécheuse pleine grandeur, sol chauffant chauffé, ventilateur de plafond. Linge de lit supérieur, un édredon de laine feutrée et des oreillers vers le bas; un confortable matelas queen luxueux / ferme. TrÚs confortable canapé-lit queen haut de gamme. Internet haute vitesse, TVHD, télévision par cùble locale, Google Chromecast, lecteur Blue Ray / DVD, systÚme de divertissement à son surround, NetFlix, streaming Amazon Prime. SystÚme sonore SONOS incroyable. Grande sélection de livres et de jeux.

L'appartement est situé sur une rue à sens unique à seulement un pùté de maisons à l'ouest de la place Taos, et l'emplacement de l'appartement est l'un des atouts les plus importants. De la porte d'entrée, une promenade de cinq minutes atteindra douze restaurants, des dizaines de galeries, le meilleur café de la ville (The World Cup), Shree Yoga Studio, l'épicerie de Smith, le quartier commerçant de Bent Street, Ledoux Street, et bien sûr, Taos Plaza

One of the best places we have stayed at. The entire property feels so welcoming. Everything was clean and well presented. Whenever we return to Taos we will not be searching for another place to stay, this will be your forever get away in the Taos area. Downtown is just a wonderful easy walk down the street and the main roads are easy to access.

Great stay!

We loved our week in Taos at Marcus’s casita. It is located about a block from the plaza in an old, quiet courtyard. There is a completely stocked kitchen, hot tub in a small, shady back yard, washer and dryer, big screen television, comfy bed, everything to feel at home while on vacation. Marcus was a lovely host welcoming us on arrival and giving us great suggestions for Taos food and events. We enjoyed seeing his other two casitas in the complex, including one that is currently being renovated. All his casitas are completely renovated with great taste.

This property is adorable. A magical space in deed! It has a great location, a very short walk to the square, and everything you need. We felt so fortunate to find this gem. We will definitely be heading back in the future.

Beautiful Casita in Taos

This is a beautifully remodeled, perfectly located, quiet, clean, and serene getaway just a few blocks from the Taos plaza. It has wonderful southwestern ambiance, with exposed beams, hand plastered walls, lovely Indian rugs, and rustic furniture. There is a well appointed kitchen, lovely decor, nice spacious yard (with spa and grill), easy parking, good Sonos sound system, good internet, nice light, washer, dryer, dishwasher, and nice furnishings. Every aspect of this lovely property has been thoughtfully attended to. We recently spent 5 nights there and would return in a minute. The owner, Marcus Best, is polite and responsive, even coming to try and fix the Dish TV. Highly recommended.

Best in the West

We arrived very late to be greeted a beautiful casita , we loved everything about it from the very modern kitchen , the spacious living room,skylights that brighten up the space, a comfortable bed. The house is surrounded by intriguing and wonderful photographs, reminding you are truly in Taos. We did not have time to use a hot tub and bbq grill in the spacious yard. It is located conveniently two blocks from the town center but because this is an adobe casa, it was completely soundproof. We would definitely reserve this casita again.

Just what we needed

Close to the plaza and secluded enough to feel like a true getaway. The apartment is well appointed, comfortable, with a thoroughly relaxing private hot tub. The three of us, two adults and one child, had a wonderful time.

Peaceful retreat

This is our second stay with Best Casa. Marcus has created a welcoming and comfortable retreat. The home is not only beautiful but spotlessly clean. We cooked all of our meals in the updated kitchen - everything appliance & gadget you'll need is provided. It's a *very* short walk to the Main Street but very quiet. The only noise we heard was the pleasant pealing of the church bells during the day. I highly recommend Best Casa when in Taos!

I only wish that 6 stars was an option!!!

Amazing stay! Marcus met us at the house and spent about a half hour making sure we had everything that we needed. Breakfast foods, tea, coffee, and a bottle of red wine was provided. The house was beautifully decorated and the backyard and private hot tub was a hit. The photos on this listing do not do the property justice. We look forward to staying at Casa Best in the future.

Best Home in Taos

I was amazed when I walked into Marcus's home! It was the most amazing home I have stayed in Taos! The interior is gorgeous and comfortable and the exterior was an extra treat! Marcus made me feel extremely welcome during my entire stay. You can walk to all of the best spots in Taos as well. Everything else is a short drive for snow adventures and hiking. I hope to stay there several times a year when I visit NM!

I'm the luckiest guy I know. I'm truly thankful to have the privilege to be able to travel often and far. I've been welcomed into people's homes all over the world, and though I've been fairly nomadic most of my life, now for the first time I have my own place, which I have renovated and am offering as a getaway for fellow travelers to enjoy. I am also just starting to use AirBnB when I travel, and I look forward to my upcoming trips overseas.

I grew up in Snyder, Texas, surrounded by pumpjacks and fields of cotton. In the summers when I was a kid, my family would pile into the GoodTimes van and hit the road for weeks, escaping the 110 degree West Texas heat: Vermont, Florida, Wyoming, northern California, and all in between. When I was fourteen I spent a summer in Germany on an exchange program, and since then I've been hooked on travel. I studied biology writing in college and after graduating worked for the Fish & Wildlife Department in Alaska for a summer. I then worked in Nicaragua as a carpenter for over a year and slowly made my way to Taos, New Mexico, where I've lived for almost thirteen years.

My most recent journey was a 16-month solo motorcycle trip around the world. I drove west to Seattle, flew my motorcycle to Tokyo, and made my way to Siberia, west through northern Asia and the Middle East, south through Africa to CapeTown, then north through West Africa to Morocco. After a couple months in Europe, I flew the BMW to New Jersey and drove back home to Taos; 50 countries, 500 days, 46,000 miles.

Taos has a lot to offer for a lover of the outdoors like myself. I spend a lot of time in the nearby mountains, skiing, hiking with my dogs, fishing, biking, and motorcycling. I've always enjoyed many sports, and I regularly play soccer, tennis, basketball, and volleyball.
