This newly built 620 sqft loft-style guesthouse sits on a beautifully landscaped property in Scarsdale, surrounded by gardens and just minutes from Hart's Brook Nature Preserve and Greenburgh Nature Center — a wonderful base for families who love the outdoors.
The open-concept layout is bright, airy, and thoughtfully designed with traveling families in mind. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is here — a full kitchen, private entrance, dedicated parking, and access to patios and a shared backyard with a children's playground.

The space includes:

Sleeping nook with a queen bed, plus a full pull-out sofa and a queen pull-out sofa — sleeps up to 3 (additional guests up to 5 can be accommodated for a fee)
Fully equipped kitchen: flat-top stove/oven, full fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, washer/dryer
Smart TV and comfortable living area with space for kids to play indoors
Front and back patios shared with the neighboring unit — great for morning coffee or evening wind-downs
Shared backyard garden with children's playground
Gated property with private guest entrance
One dedicated parking spot included

Getting around: This is a car-dependent residential neighborhood. A car is strongly recommended. The Metro-North train station (direct to Grand Central, ~40 min) is a 10-minute drive.

About the home: We live upstairs with our two young children — you may hear footsteps and kids playing overhead. Guests who enjoy a warm, family atmosphere feel right at home here. There is also a neighboring guest unit on the property; we ask all guests to be considerate of shared outdoor spaces.

Dogs welcome with prior registration. A one-time fee of $100/dog applies (max 2). Vaccination records required. Dogs must be leashed on the property at all times. Full pet policy in the House Rules.

Note: wood for the fire pit and BBQ is not provided.

The owner was very responsive and kind. The apartment was very clean and well updated. We are older adults and the access to the basement apartment was a bit of a challenge but the owner did graciously help with our luggage. The family does clearly disclose that they live above the unit and sounds of children may be heard. Between the sounds of the family above and the fact it’s a basement, not a “Loft”, with all the plumbing just above your head - it was not for us.

I chose this apartment for its location primarily and it was a hit. Since we were traveling and staying for two weeks with a toddler and a new baby I was looking for it to also have an outdoor space, and it was wonderful as seen in the pictures. For personal reasons I had to change my dates a few days before my booking was coming up, the hosts had no problem to accommodate my needs. During our stay, we even had the opportunity to meet the neighbor next door and visit her garden. The neighborhood is beautiful, quiet and safe. Roberta and Martin are outstanding hosts that provided me and my family with any help, requests and information as needed. They are very responsive and my son spent time playing and enjoying the outdoors with their kids. They also offered us to join a barbecue gathering that they put together with family, friends and kids. Which my son had a blast. The apartment itself is very spacious and comfortable. The amenities worked perfectly and Roberta included a few extra kids toys and things knowing we had a toddler. That was a very courteous touch of her. My overall experience was GREAT and I Highly recommend it!

She's from Brazil, I'm from Haiti, and between us we have plenty of culture, warmth, and good food to share. If you're a curious traveler, you'll find us easy to talk to. Don't be surprised if you smell Brazilian churrasco coming from the red brick patio — you're welcome to stop by for a bite.
We're here if you want company, and completely respectful of your space if you don't. Either way, we hope your stay feels like more than just a place to sleep.

Scarsdale is a beautiful hamlet although we live on the outskirts of it we enjoy going to the town center for a family meal or just the local farmers market or coffee shops.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Perched on a hillside we have rolling hills of turfy grass and landscaped gardens with shrubs and trees and flowers. We have a snaky lane made of heavy slabs of bleu stones numbering 36 steps from the top of the garage all the way down to our 3000 sqft red brick and bleu stone patient will ample seating areas and a full outdoor kitchen with running water and electricity and WiFi.
