Charming 3-bedroom cabin with deck, sauna, fitness room in Eldred

Relax in this beautiful architect designed cabin in the woods. Enjoy grilling on the deck and the sounds of song birds in the summer. Or enjoy the sauna and sit inside by the fire during the winter. No matter what time of year you will be able to recharge in this Catskills getaway. We hope you enjoy this brand new space as much as we do!
The space
This architect-designed house offers a large open kitchen, dining, and living area that is combined for the ultimate hangout space with friends and family. There are also smaller spaces throughout the house for quieter activities, if you choose to use them that way. The gym, sauna, and the snug (the wood-clad room upstairs) all offer opportunities for a quiet moment. There is also space for group activities throughout the house, including large dining tables inside and out and a spacious deck.

The three proper bedrooms provide beautiful and unique views of the surrounding forests. These rooms have closets for guests belongings. The snug also has a pullout couch for added flexibility in sleeping arrangements.

The large back deck offers Adirondack style chairs, an outdoor dining table that can seat 8 people comfortably, a charcoal grill, and a baby gate for kiddos and dogs.

Note that the next door property is owned by us and we are in the midst of renovating. There are two shops and a trailer that are off limits to guests. We will be doing something fun with these spaces soon!
Guest access
The property is generally open to guests. There are some caveats though:

The utility room has a backup refrigerator and pantry closets that are open to guests. However, the food in the refrigerator and pantry are not for guests. The other items in the utility room are off limits. The HVAC, hot water heater, and well pump are completely off limits to guests. So are any of the tools in the room. Children should not be in this room due to the dangerous nature of the items within. Note that there is a key to lock the door from the outside (to keep children out) resting on top of the door trim.

The locked closet in the bedroom that has a king bed is off limits. The other closet is available for guest use and should be found empty upon arrival.

The other spaces in the house are available to guest but children should be supervised around the fireplace, the gym, and the rules for the sauna also need to be followed.
Other things to note
The kitchen is brand new with Reform cabinets, Bosch gas cooktop, Fisher & Paykel integrated fridge, Viking dishwasher, and Cafe oven. There is a microwave tucked away in the pantry as well.

There is a full-sized LG brand washer and dryer.

The gym has a set of kettle bells, a set of dumbbells, bench, a TRX band installed on the ceiling, full height mirrors, yoga mats, yoga blocks, stretching bands, and jump ropes.

There is a pleasant walk to Lochada Lake along a quiet and beautiful gravel road nearby. Just be careful walking on Rowley Road as there isn't a dedicated right of way for pedestrians.

There are also a lot of very nice trails nearby, including one of our favorites, which is the Mongaup River Trail. The parking lot is right off of highway 97 and the Mongaup River.

- Sullivan Public: a local artists market in Eldred
- Jessie Lazar Studio: local ceramicist's store
- Pecks Market and Barryville General: both 5 minutes away for all of your grocery needs
- Monteleone Gardens: year round hydroponically grown veggies
- Shrewd Fox Brewery: wonderful proprietors and good beer
- Barryville Bottle: great boutique wine and liquor store
- Barryville Oasis: funky gas station, convenience store, restaurant, and cocktail bar all in one
- Cupbearer Coffee: great coffee and pastries
