Julius is a great host and very friendly. I’ve stayed at his property 3 times and the family and I enjoy it so much each time. You can’t ask for a more beautiful property to stay on. Fishing, kayaking, campfires, grilling etc were all great. We even got to see a few shooting stars during our stay. Thanks again Julius!

Lovely property with the Delaware River in the backyard. We went rafting only 5 minutes away and also the original Woodstock site is only 30 minutes away.

The view was spectacular! Very peaceful. We even caught fish! The house had a lot of room. The kitchen was large so it fit all 7 of us. The checkin/check out process was easy. The property owner was super nice and helpful. We would definitely rent this again and recommend it to others.

Beautiful location, handicap access

We came for a quick visit with a family member in a wheelchair. The property worked well for her with a beautiful deck for enjoying the river and an accessible bedroom/bathroom. The original part of the house has beautiful wood and fire place and lots of character. The kitchen is stocked with nice pans.

I think this property would be very nice in the summer but for a rainy cold October weekend, the house was cold and everyone was cold at night… ie no extra blankets, no heat…

This guest is rating the weather, not the house and its stunning location. Each room is heated with individually controlled thermostats. There is an efficient working fireplace to add heat and charm to the family room with wood readily available. Extra blankets are in every room. My workshop, office and phone contact is available just up the road where I reside. With all the "5" star reviews and demand for this property, it's hard to believe this guest is reviewing this property. We stand by the accurate description, photos and reviews in the listing.

Peaceful Property

We had a wonderful time, seeing the Delaware River in the backyard and the beautiful colors on the trees. Great October weather. Thank you, to our SUPER DUPERRR host Mr. Julius. You outdid yourself! A Gorgeous Property with Amazing View!

We had a wonderful experience staying at this home. While it is located in easy walking distance to the quaint village of Barryville NY it feels totally private sitting on the large back deck taking in the view of the pristine Delaware River. The living room has huge windows and is very comfortable. Julius lives just across the road and is very helpful. He knows the area extremely well and also helped us organize a rafting trip. We are planning on returning next summer because we had such a fantastic experience!

It could have been better

Beds are horrible, house is old but there has been zero upgrades since it was built. 1 bed room was so creepy that we just kept the door closed. Even my dogs were uncomfortable . They were glued to my wife. We even left a night early. River on the other hand was fantastic.

Destruction to the home by two out of control dogs, and trashing the riverfront is what was left by this guests stay. The recently remolded master bedroom, bathroom and dressing room, made ADA handicapped accessible. for my future use, was used to accommodate their dogs with piles of facies on the rugs. The house is a historic 1840 canal house combined with a mid-century kitchen and family room as accurately shown in all photos. The river was trashed with punctured floats tied to the shoreline. Outdoor furniture left on the riverfront. Pet policy and house rules were not followed. As noted in multiple reviews, my accessibility to address concerns is immediate and responsive. No attempt was made to reach out to me by these guests.
