Designer A-Frame Treehouse near Stowe w/ Hot Tub, Sauna, Projector & Views
Summary:
Welcome to our newest gem at Uncommon Accommodationsâa modern A-frame treehouse perched above the river with a shared riverside spa experience. Enjoy a year-round hot tub, brand-new treehouse barrel sauna, and river access for cold plunges. Inside youâll find a full kitchen, bathroom, cozy loft, indoor fireplace, roll-down projector for movie nights, and a string-lit deck. A dreamy escape for couples or creatives seeking comfort, design, and nature.
The Space:
Perched among the trees and accessed via a private footbridge, this elevated modern A-frame feels like a true luxury treehouse retreat. Thoughtfully designed by local architect Raymond Boutin and expertly built by craftsman Todd Miller, the space blends contemporary comfort with timeless Vermont style. Inside, youâll find maple veneer walls, Douglas fir beams, red oak stair treads, and rich Brazilian hardwood floorsâall carefully selected to create a warm, refined atmosphere.
The open living area features a sculptural round designer couch, a sleek indoor fireplace, and a full modern kitchen. A striking spiral staircase leads to a cozy loft bedroom nestled under the steep roofline. Step out onto the string-lit deckâsuspended above the Lamoille Riverâfor a serene coffee moment or a starlit glass of wine. Every detail, from the materials to the layout, has been crafted to offer a high-end, one-of-a-kind Vermont experience.
Guest Access:
Guests have full private access to the A-frame treehouse via a keypad lock, including the private deck and all indoor amenities. You'll park just steps from the entrance, with an EV charger available on the property. Enjoy shared access to an on-site hot tub, and head down to the Lamoille River for a refreshing swim or peaceful spot to cast a fishing line. Whether you're here to relax, explore, or simply unwind in nature, everything you need is close at hand.
The Neighborhood:
Tucked away in the heart of Vermont's Green Mountains, the A-frame is part of Uncommon Accommodationsâa unique riverside property just minutes from the village of Johnson. You'll find local cafĂ©s, breweries, galleries, and shops nearby, plus easy access to hiking, biking, skiing, and covered bridges. Centrally located between Stowe, Smugglersâ Notch, and Jeffersonville, this spot is perfect for exploring the best of Northern Vermont while enjoying a peaceful, wooded escape.
Getting Around:
A car is recommended for getting around and exploring the area. You'll have free parking right in front of the A-frame, and an EV charger is available on the property. We're centrally located between Stowe and Smugglersâ Notch, with scenic drives in every direction. In winter, 4WD or AWD is highly recommended due to Vermontâs snowy conditions and the hill in our driveway.
Other Things to Note:
This A-frame is part of Uncommon Accommodations, a small collection of unique stays on a 14-acre riverside property. While your treehouse is fully private, some amenities like the hot tub and river access are shared with a few other guests. We provide high-speed WiFi (via Starlink), and the space is best suited for 1â2 adults. Please note the loft is accessed via a spiral staircase and may not be ideal for those with mobility challenges.
Interaction with Guests:
Guests enjoy self check-in via a keypad for a smooth, contactless arrival. I give guests plenty of privacy but am always available by message if you need anything before or during your stay. Whether you have questions, need local tips, or run into any issues, I'm happy to help!

Ă propos de lâhĂŽte
Votre hĂŽte
Weâre Vermont-based hosts who love creating unique places for people to unplug, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. Our properties are designed to be memorable stays â cozy, thoughtfully built, and connected to nature â whether youâre visiting for adventure, relaxation, or a little of both. We enjoy hiking, skiing, traveling, and discovering special places ourselves, and we try to bring that same sense of care and attention to every guest experience. Our goal is simple: provide clean, comfortable, one-of-a-kind spaces and be responsive, friendly hosts so you can focus on enjoying your trip.
Voici pourquoi lâhĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement
We chose this spot because it captures some of the best parts of northern Vermont in one place â mountain views, river access, and easy proximity to Stowe and the Green Mountains. The area feels peaceful and tucked into nature, yet itâs just a short drive to great hiking, skiing, local breweries, and the small-town charm of Johnson village. What we love most is how the neighborhood balances quiet seclusion with adventure: you can spend the day exploring trails or the mountains and come back to relax by the river under the stars. Itâs a perfect home base for experiencing Vermont year-round.
Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique
Our A-frame is designed to feel like a true Vermont escape â a cozy, modern cabin surrounded by nature, with big windows that bring the outdoors in. The architecture itself is part of the experience, with soaring ceilings, warm wood finishes, and a comfortable, thoughtfully designed interior that feels both rustic and refined. Guests also enjoy shared amenities like river access and a hot tub, adding a touch of relaxation after a day of exploring the Green Mountains or nearby Stowe. What really sets the property apart is the balance of seclusion and convenience: it feels private and immersed in nature, yet itâs close to some of the best outdoor recreation, dining, and small-town charm Vermont has to offer.
