We enjoyed our week stay. It’s a rustic cottage with a cute, cozy, old time feel. I liked that it’s recessed from the road allowing privacy and a safe space for our dog. Kitchen had everything we needed!

Really cute cottage with a lot of character! It was much bigger than the photos looked. The walk to the beach was easy although the road had very busy traffic every day so we were extra mindful with our young child. We loved that our pup could come with us and she was comfortable in the cottage as well. Would come back again!

Wonderful stay. Sharon is an excellent host. This house has everything and more you need for a perfect beach vacation. The only thing is the upstairs sitting area and one bedroom gets very hot since they don’t have air conditioning. The fans did help and having cool nights too. The outside fire place is perfect to sit around the fire at night. Quick walk to Long Sands Beach. All in all a wonderful week with our family!

Great family vacation rental. Close to the beach and had everything provided and then some. Only downside was the heat, we stayed during a very hot week of the year and the AC wasn’t able to keep the house cool. I would add a couple of air conditioners so when it gets really hot guests can be more comfortable. Other than that everything was great.

Great place to vacation.

Convenient location. Clean and well kept. Bed mattresses are a bit uncomfortable and the seating in the living room could be better.

This is a wonderful vacation house! It is so close to the beach, has front area with table to sit at, and a big yard which isn't common, and inside is nice and clean. We live close by, so brought our own linens and towels, but when the listing says have everything they really do! towels, linens, blankets, all the bathroom supplies you could need so if you are traveling it lightens what you need to bring.

Had a wonderful time

Had a very weird door to bathroom had to go through private guest room to get there from kitchen, this made it very inconvenient for all who stayed here.

Good beach area cottage

Cute quaint cottage house in a nice and safe neighborhood. House was clean, has comfortable beds and plenty of space for 5 people. The kitchen is stocked with all types of cooking utensils including many nice new pots and pans and newer coffee maker. Walk to Long Sands beach is an easy 4-5 minute straight shot walk down the road, although having a wagon would be a bonus. The owner was kind with providing needed information for payments and check-in/check-out.

We loved our visit and appreciated how close the location was to long sands beach. Mt Agamenticus, Short Sands beach and kittery were all a very easy drive, as is ogunquit. The property is recessed from the main road and the neighborhood is very quiet, so you won’t run into the crowds and noise that you will experience in other locations. We also appreciated being able to have a full kitchen for meals when we didn’t want to go out. DoorDash also had a surprising amount of great options and the delivery times were great. We used this service for both meals and groceries.

Great dog friendly place near long sands

The place is actually nicer than the photos! Such a short walk to long sands beach. Cottage was well stocked with essentials—paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, towels, kitchen gear. The living area was very comfortable with many board games and books. The upstairs sitting area was a bonus with another tv . The firepit outside looked great, but we didn’t get to use it-the weather didn’t really cooperate with us this weekend. The fact that we could bring our dog was the icing on the cake. If you are looking for the quintessential beach cottage in York, look no further!

We apologize that the cottage was not to your liking. We are in the process of getting new couches and more lamps. We will speak to our housekeeper because that is not acceptable to us either. We hope that you would consider staying with us again.

Charming and confortable

The house has an old-time charm. It is bigger than what one might expect from the pictures. The beach is a short 5 minutes walk. We were lucky to have nice weather, so we enjoyed the backyard very much. I would love to come back.
