I recently had a terrible experience with my VRBO booking that I feel compelled to share in detail. My vacation started off on the wrong foot due to a series of unfortunate events that were completely unacceptable.First and foremost, our VRBO was double booked. This was a huge inconvenience and caused a lot of stress right at the beginning of our trip. We arrived at the property, excited to start our vacation, only to find that it was already occupied. This was not just a minor hiccup; it was a major disruption that threw off our entire schedule and plans.To make matters worse, the guests who were already staying there were drunk and treated my parents with utter disrespect. This behavior was not only uncalled for but also made the start of our vacation absolutely terrible. My parents, who were looking forward to a peaceful and enjoyable time, were instead met with rudeness and hostility. This was completely unacceptable and added to the stress and disappointment we were already feeling.However, I must give high praise to the escalation team. They did their best to rectify the situation and managed to get us comped for four rooms. Their efforts were commendable, and they handled the situation with professionalism and empathy. Despite their best efforts, the inconvenience of having to change locations multiple times during our stay was a significant disruption to our vacation plans.
