Rivière Accueil dans le village historique de Saint-Marin sur Croix

Maison Sans Chèvres, notre charmante maison de style Craftsman, a deux histoires, deux avec de grandes fenêtres donnant sur le Saint- Croix River.

Le niveau principal dispose d'une cuisine comptoir de granit avec des appareils en acier inoxydable faites pour profiter de la cuisine et manger, une salle à manger pouvant accueillir 8-10 personnes; un salon d'accueil avec une cheminée à gaz, fenêtres donnant sur le fleuve et une reine taille canapé sommeil; une salle de bains d'invité, et une suite chambre des maîtres avec baignoire jacuzzi et douche séparée.

Le niveau inférieur dispose d'un coin télévision confortable avec un canapé-lit queen size, un coin salon autour d'une cheminée à gaz, une salle de bains unique et une chambre avec une fenêtre donnant sur la rivière.

Le niveau supérieur sort sur une spacieuse, enrouler autour du pont. Le niveau inférieur se promène sur un patio avec une sensation de cabine de la rivière. Les deux espaces extérieurs ont des meubles pour découvrir les sites et les sons de la rivière et pour manger. Il ya un barbecue à gaz sur le pont.

Comme nous vivons à seulement 10 minutes de route, nous serons à la maison pour vous accueillir à votre arrivée et nous serons disponibles par téléphone si vous avez besoin répondu aux questions ou assistance pendant votre séjour.

River Weekend Getaway

We hosted family from out of town. This property was absolutely perfect in location, size and amenities! We enjoyed our access to the river during an incredible hot summer weekend.

River House Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday stay at the River House. It offers everything you could ask for in a family vacation - well appointed accommodations, beautiful location, and convenient to parks and points of interest. Great base for exploring the area or just staying home and doing nothing in particular. Highly recommended.

Great Stay!

This was an amazing spot for a girls weekend getaway. We enjoyed the whole house- all of the details in the decor were so fun! We walked to town for coffees in the AM, lunch at the Brookside bar/grill and had dinner reservations at Annas. It was a great place to stay and we would love to be able to come again and repeat the great weekend!

What a wonderful place to stay! A gorgeous home so warm and inviting. Christine was a wonderful host meeting us at the property when we checked in. The stay was so relaxing and we will be back to stay here again. This place is a gem! The town was like stepping back in time. A must place to stay.

Very nice charming place to stay! We enjoyed the cabin with its roomy kitchen, great dining space, lovely river views, plus the nicely decorated rooms and bathrooms. Additionally there was within walking distance a grocery store, ice cream shop and restaurants. Such an enjoyable weekend!

Fun Girls’ Weekend

My sister and nieces had a wonderful time at this quaint craftsman on the banks of the St Croix River. Such a lovely house - with a great kitchen and cozy living room with fireplace. And, absolutely amazing views of the river and fall colors. Being able to walk 3 minutes to the heart of Marine was an absolute plus. Such a fun weekend - thanks!

Walkable and right on the river

We had a great stay here to celebrate a milestone birthday. It is a beautiful house with a perfect location right on the river with stunning river views. It’s a 5 min drive to Rustic Root Winery, a 15 min drive to Stillwater and walkable to Marine on St Croix restaurants and shops. Exactly what we needed! Thank you!

Slice of Heaven on the St. Croix

We initially booked this property because of its proximity to Stillwater. We were met with a sweet surprise of Marine on St. Croix as a small town with safe streets, friendly people and the most beautiful views. This home has all the amenities needed PLUS beautiful scenes of the river, well loved furniture and all the comforts of home. Spacious and accommodating for a group with plenty of indoor and outdoors spaces for games, cards, reading and relaxing.

We have been farming in the St. Croix Valley for over 40 years. If you know anything about farming, you know that there is no 'getting away from work'. You're there 24/7, with all the joys and worries that brings. We never had a vacation home until we bought this river house in 2012. We purchased it with the intent of allowing us a perfect way to 'get away'. It only takes us 10 minutes to drive there from our farm, allowing us
to get away frequently and easily. You may be curious about the name 'Maison sans Chèvres'. Our farm is a large, commercial Grade A dairy goat farm. The river house is our 'home without goats.' We've stated the name in French to honor the river's name and the French voyageurs who explored it.

In the 50 years we've lived in this area, we've come to love the St. Croix River and the very unique town of Marine on St. Croix. When we were lucky enough to be able to get this architectural gem of a house - not only on the river but also in the village of Marine on St. Croix - we were thrilled. It is the perfect vacation home for us. As we're not able to use it full time, we enjoy sharing it with others.

The Maison sans Chèvres is a peaceful, warm, welcoming house. It has an incredible amount of character. Being right on the river allows for a unique connection to nature and the river towns north and south of us.

Marine on St. Croix is a historic town whose residents take a great deal of pride in their history, their natural surroundings, and the creative energy of people. There are numerous cultural events that occur here throughout the year: concerts in the historic Marine Village Hall, art fairs and exhibitions - from Fourth of July celebrations to a sometimes Christmas Market, taking enjoyment from life is an ongoing theme here.

Being in this warm, small town setting but still so close to busier life in the larger towns nearby and even close to the Twin Cities (St. Paul is only a 35 minute easy drive away), gives visitors an opportunity to experience a range of Minnesota life.

As for the house itself, remodeling, updating and furnishing this house was a labor of love for us. We think the results of our efforts reflect our appreciation for quality and for history.
