Great location in the center of Carlsbad with everything that I needed for my stay at half the price of anything else (hotels) in the area. Unit was clean with all the things that I needed included. Dedicated parking space was great.

It was very clean but sheets had stains which was disconcerting and the WiFi worked intermittently. I think if I realized it was that close to the coaster I would have not booked it’s super loud

Great get away spot

After living in Carlsbad for 35 years, we love to sneak back for visits. This little place was perfect for this trip. It was clean, well-stocked, and within walking distance of everything. Thanks for a great experience!

Good Place But


The condo was good. It was clean. TV did not work! Remote was not good. Was told a new one was on the way didn’t happen. It was cold and rainy so tv was important. Overall Gage House is looking run down. Several steps were in need of repair. Laundry facilities have gone down. This wasn’t owner’s issue but HOA IS DEFINITELY LACKING.

The location is superb - a short walk to the beach yet equally close to Carlsbad’s downtown, which is quaint with multiple choices of restaurants. They clearly enjoyed decorating their “apartment” with a seaside mermaid theme. The heat pumps operation was confusing, but got them to work. Overall, a very nice stay.

Best Location with Comfort and Style

I very much enjoyed time to myself after a week with family at Thanksgiving. Walking to both the Village or the beach was only steps away and no car needed!

Nice beach apartment

If you want a good location for access to beach, bars and restaurants, this is a perfect place. The supply of beach chairs, towels, umbrella, cooler, and boogie boards was a nice feature! However, be prepared for train whistles. Would stay here again!

Great location in Carlsbad

We loved our month long stay at this location. Best part: we were a 5 minute walk to the beach and 2 minute walk into the Village. The unit was clean and comfortably updated. We cooked at home many nights and there was adequate cookware to enable it. The shared laundry has an app so I did not have to hoard quarters, which was nice. As others have said, there is a train that runs right through Carlsbad. You’ll hear it. But we enjoyed being able to walk to the train and took it quite a few times into Encinitas, O-Side and San Diego. We loved it here and will stay at this rental again.

Great Place in a Great Town

Very happy with the stay. Close to beach, close to village restaurants. Well stocked with beach chairs, beach towels, etc. Wish it was not so close to the train tracks as the Coaster starts early in the morning, but obviously not something the owner controls.

Fantastic Condo

The condo was very clean with all the necessary appliances. It was in a top floor private location. Stores and restaurants and the beach were just a short walk away. Onsite parking was provided. Great owner. Hope to stay in this condo in the future.

Great Place to Stay with Two Cons

The location is great. The condo was clean and well stocked. Timothy was great to work with. Our only cons were the train runs all night. By the 4th day, we kind of got used to it. The other con was the bed and pillows were uncomfortable. Other than that, great place to stay.

Light & Bright Between the Holidays

We like to make a getaway between Thanksgiving & Christmas. This year we stayed in Carlsbad at the Light & Bright property for the first time. We loved it. Great location, easy walking distance to all amenities, the beach, and easy access to the Coaster train if you'd like a trip into San Diego (e.g. step off at Old Town). Very nice condo with all that you need, including a parking space.

Perfect holiday at Bella Sirena.

Another great stay in Carlsbad Village. The condo was a welcome quiet retreat for us as we visited nearby family. Beach walks were the highlights.

Another great stay at this location

Our second time staying at this location. Highly recommend this second floor unit. Privacy plus, as not unit under it and only one unit next to it. Unit was clean, comfortable large king bed, well supplied with everything you need for your stay. Communication excellent with owner. Have fun

This condo is our first step toward that dream! Although the condo is not large enough for the 6 of us, we have a plan so that we can all enjoy a little time in our paradise!

After driving the coastline looking for the ideal spot, we drove into Carlsbad Village, looked at the condo and we just knew it was right!. It has the same small, quaint, safe feel of the community of our Oregon beach house.....unique and artsy, fun blend of old and new, casual, friendly.....with one distinguishing factor: SUN!

This place is in the heart of the best beach community in San Diego County. This condo is in a small complex and feels like a home, rather than a large corporate condo complex. The Village has numerous restaurants, boutique shops, amazing beaches, super friendly people and is centrally located to many activities North and South. There is a certain vibe here that can only be experienced. Come check it out.
