Venez vous reposer et rajeunir votre âme dans ce studio confortable, appelé SEA FOREVER GUEST HOUSE, niché en hauteur sur le flanc de Buck Mountain. Bientôt, vous vous demanderez comment convaincre votre patron de vous laisser rester plus longtemps. Respirez la vue imprenable et étincelante de la mer des Salish, riche en baleines et autres animaux marins et ornithologiques, entourée par la neige surmontée des cascades canadiennes et américaines, avec le mont. Baker en tant qu'invité spécial. Réchauffez vos orteils près du poêle à bois d'hiver dans le salon ou lisez un livre sur le porche lors d'une soirée d'été ensoleillée. Votre hôte, dont la maison est nichée à proximité mais à l'abri des regards par des pins nains, des rhodies et des roses, peut répondre à vos questions. The view from the property is stunning both during the day and at night. The bed is very comfortable and the cottage was spotless. Linda was easy to talk with and their dog is precious. We really enjoyed seeing the piebald deer!!The downside an overly aggressive rules book and a gardener in front of the windows. We understand the deer are an issue and the garden is a selling point but it was to the point we were hesitant to do anything outside. The windows provide a beautiful view but they are a whole wall. It was disappointing when we wanted to leave them open to then find people outside the cottage early in the morning.

We were so happy to have guests chose Sea Forever Guest House for their stay on Orcas and thrilled when they enjoy their stay. The property is spectacular and we enjoy doing all we can to make the time spent here restful. I'm so sorry to hear the gardener was outside the cottage in the early morning. We welcome any future guests to just immediately let us know should anything like that ever happen and we would take care of it on the spot as we are quite sensitive to how important it is to maintain privacy in the front of the cottage. We just didn't know. We very much want our guests to feel comfortable and always instruct our gardeners to stay away from the cottage if guests are there. And now we will double our efforts!

The Sea Forever guest house was very comfortable, with plenty of space for my wife and me and our dog. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept well. The kitchen was well equipped, and we ate all of our meals there. Eastsound was pretty crowded at lunch and dinner, but we enjoyed take-out dinners on two nights. On our previous visit to Orcas Island, we stayed on Rosario Road and spent most of our time in Moran State Park. This time, we saw more of Orcas, including the Turtleback Mountain Preserve on the western part of the island. The road had very little traffic and was good for walking. We enjoyed the wonderful view from the patio, and our dog spent plenty of time watching birds hop around the gardens. She also loved the dog park.In all, we very much enjoyed a relaxing three days.

Living on Orcas is a 50-year-ago dream-come-true for me. In 1964, I landed in Mt. Vernon, a freshman at Mt. Vernon High School after a young life of profound difficulties and challenges. During those high school years, I would visit the San Juans often, and remember in particular a high school graduation bike trip to Orcas. Throughout my life travels, I have thought often about those sweet days on Orcas and wondered if I might live here one day. I've worked hard and dreamed sweet. . . and now, finally, here I am. And I want to share it with you. I've taught high school English for 30 years and now have a private practice in counseling. I adore helping others, caring for the earth, and celebrating the beauty of this island and this home. Life is so full of beauty if we are willing to set aside the hustle and bustle of surviving and live just in the moment. Come here to do just that. Listen to the wind whip through the pines and firs in winter. Steady your gaze upon the purple Cascades in the evening sunset, the distant twinkling lights of a city unaware of us at its feet. Welcome the quiet visit of a doe and her fawn, hoping for an apple treat offered from your hand. Come celebrate the spectacular gift of life with me here in this quiet and very special oasis.

I have it here and want to share it with you. You who are hungry for quiet and beauty.
