Everything in the description is true - stunning views, pet-friendly, quiet. The cottage is equipped with the basic needs and we appreciated the no TV. It's cozy and the setting is beautiful.

The view from this property is spectacular. You can sit on the porch and see Mount Baker and watch the boats go by. Very relaxing. We brought our dogs and they enjoyed the small yard as well. Our dogs are not diggers though and the fenced yard around the house is a beautiful garden - it could be stressful if your dog has a tendency to dig. We also got visits from owners dog so if your dogs aren’t friendly that can be an issue. We really enjoyed our stay and the lovely gardens are very peaceful. Finally be aware that the gravel driveway is a bit steep and parking spot next to cottage is narrow. Our truck was really tight in the spot and took some maneuvering in and out. We also used 4WD to not spin tires on gravel on the way up.

This stay has been extraordinary. We really enjoyed our time here. Linda has gone above and beyond in providing a wonderful, magical place to spend our vacation time. The view is breathtaking. I grew up in Washington, but the beauty of this country never gets old.The home was immaculate. Pay close attention to her directions to drive there from the ferry.If I had one suggestion, it would be to replace the toilet. It sits so low, it makes it difficult for an older person. Despite that, we would go back in a heartbeat!

The cottage is clean and is stocked thoughtfully with everything you need, the hosts are gracious, the garden is lush, and if the weather is right you wake up to a stunning view of Mt. Baker! Easily the best VRBO we've stayed in.

Splendid Place!

Linda and Brad's cottage on the side of the mountain is extraordinary. In addition to the view of Puget Sound, Canada, and other islands, it's a sanctuary of wild flowers, giant trees, a small fenced in garden outside the cottage door, and more hummingbirds and songbirds than I've ever seen. The cottage itself has the perfect layout, comfy bed, easy places to hang out, we couldn't have asked for more. The hosts were easygoing, positive, and very responsive to anything we needed. If you want to find your bliss, you'll find it here!

Spring Break Getaway

My boyfriend and I came to Orcas Island for a few days for Spring Break. Linda and Brad have a beautiful property, majestic views, and communication from the starting gate was 5 stars! There was very clear communication and directions to Sea Forever, what to expect when we arrived (including the fluffy residents!) and everything was as described and very accommodating. There were even food and water dishes in the cottage for my 4-legged companion, Brad brought us firewood, and Toby helped to remind us of bags we forgot at our car I would absolutely be honored to come back to visit Sea Forever next time I am on the island as this was a top notch stay from check-in to check out. Thank you for opening your beautiful cottage to us!

Quaint cottage with an amazing view

Very quiet relaxing stay. The cottage was comfortable and the view from your own private bench makes this a memorable spot. Linda was a very helpful host. Provided explicit instructions regarding ferry reservations and driving directions. She was quick to respond to any questions we had. There isn’t a TV which was ok by us. There is good WIFI. The only negative would be the strong smell of the water and very little shower pressure. Other than that it was a great stay.

Amazing view

Perfect little cottage for my sister and me. Bed is very comfortable. The view is spectacular- the pictures don't do it justice. Short drive into Eastsound.

Peaceful retreat with a great view

We had a great 3-night stay at the Sea View Cottage. It was quiet and felt like home while we were sightseeing around the San Juan Islands. The owners do a good job of offering assistance but give plenty of privacy.

Glorious view!

We stayed at this property while on Orcas Island for 3 nights. We highly recommend! The cottage is exactly as described, responsive host, fully equipped, beautiful flowers, peaceful and quiet. The view is amazing!

Beautiful views, cute place

Lovely plants and fences show the owners care about the property and maintaining it. I understand what other reviewers have said about the morning light, but I found it nice to be able to use natural light. We packed in drinking water and would advise others to do the same for anything in the area. Town is nice and close and it was nice to see the lights of the mainland as the sun set. Bring binoculars to investigate the view! The hosts were communicative and friendly.

Quiet, calm, and pristine

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! A wonderful space with beautiful plants and an even more stunning view. It is located within minutes of the restaurants in Eastsound, but feels far away. Birdsong is ever-present and the hummingbirds flew within arms reach daily. Communication was simple, easy, and pleasant
 all around positive vibes great for anyone looking to feel far away without being far away.

Another wonderful stay!

We have stayed at this property multiple times over the last few years and it never disappoints. The location, amenities, hosts, and the wonderful cottage itself keep us coming back. We are already looking forward to our next stay hopefully in the near future!

Quiet and serene

We enjoyed our stay at Sea Forever cottage. It was fully equipped and the bed was comfortable. The water has a distinct oder and we took care of trash the cleaning folks missed from previous guests. The hot tub was listed on VRBO as an amenity, however we were not allowed to enjoy. This was disappointing for us.

Living on Orcas is a 50-year-ago dream-come-true for me. In 1964, I landed in Mt. Vernon, a freshman at Mt. Vernon High School after a young life of profound difficulties and challenges. During those high school years, I would visit the San Juans often, and remember in particular a high school graduation bike trip to Orcas. Throughout my life travels, I have thought often about those sweet days on Orcas and wondered if I might live here one day. I've worked hard and dreamed sweet. . . and now, finally, here I am. And I want to share it with you. I've taught high school English for 30 years and now have a private practice in counseling. I adore helping others, caring for the earth, and celebrating the beauty of this island and this home. Life is so full of beauty if we are willing to set aside the hustle and bustle of surviving and live just in the moment. Come here to do just that. Listen to the wind whip through the pines and firs in winter. Steady your gaze upon the purple Cascades in the evening sunset, the distant twinkling lights of a city unaware of us at its feet. Welcome the quiet visit of a doe and her fawn, hoping for an apple treat offered from your hand. Come celebrate the spectacular gift of life with me here in this quiet and very special oasis.

I wanted a home with the sound of a tumbling creek nearby and the sight of a mated pair of eagles weaving a magic dance in the sky and using the limbs of a fir tree for rest in sight from my bedroom window. i wanted the charm of a bookstore, filled with the smell of fresh brewed coffee and a choice of books about lofts and Hemmingway only minutes from my backdoor.
