Sitting where field meets forest with views of the Union River, The Willow offers a peaceful, accessible stay in the Maine woods.
Styled like a classic Maine camp with modern comfort and clean design, it sleeps four: a queen bedroom and a queen bed in the loft. A wall of windows brings in natural light, with a hot tub, smokeless fire pit, and 1.5 miles of quiet forest trails just outside. Private and woodsy, yet close to Ellsworth, Acadia National Park, and the surrounding Downeast.
The Willow Cabin is equipped for comfort, quiet, and time spent well—whether preparing a meal, soaking under the stars, or watching light shift through the trees. Inside, you’ll find a compact but complete kitchen with an induction cooktop, mini-oven, dishwasher, and essentials for daily cooking, along with a washer-dryer, small desk and chair, high speed fiber internet, wood-burning stove, and mini-split heat pump.
There is also a smart projector and portable screen so you can enjoy movies, sports, or shows from your own device or streaming platforms, and some carefully chosen games.
Beds are made up with all-cotton Oeko-Tex certified linens.
The bathroom is stocked with Public Goods amenities and extra-large cotton bath towels. Outdoors, The Willow includes a private hot tub, smokeless fire pit, propane grill, outdoor seating, and (April–October) a hammock.
Private parking includes a Tesla Universal Wall connector that works with all J1772-compatible vehicles. The Willow welcomes well-behaved dogs (leashed outdoors, no furniture use). The loft is accessed by stairs.

À propos de l’hôte
Hôte : Rachel @ Arbor Camp
Arbor Camp began in 2022, when three friends came together to build a quiet place in the woods. Thirty acres along the Union River in Ellsworth offered the space—and the inspiration—for something lasting. The project was shaped by Maine’s camp tradition: simple, seasonal dwellings that invite stillness, comfort, and connection to the land.
From the start, the idea was simple: to create a place that feels good to step into. Each of us brought different experience—design, building, creative work—but shared a clear vision: spaces that are well made, deeply comfortable, and in tune with their surroundings. Arbor Camp grew from that collaboration. The result is a quiet retreat in the Maine woods, where time slows and the beauty of the landscape comes steadily into view.
Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement
Cabins and treehouses at Arbor Camp are spaced for privacy and quiet, and walking trails were cut by hand to follow the natural shape of the land.
Wildlife is part of daily life here. Songbirds call from the canopy. Heron and eagles pass overhead. Deer move through the understory, and turkeys wander the clearings. Mushrooms—chanterelles, black trumpets, and others—rise through the forest floor in season.
Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique
Tucked among 30 acres of private woodlands, each of Arbor Camp’s cabins and treehouses is designed as a place for restful delight in the Maine woods. Expansive windows frame views of sky and pines and the river beyond. Our unique dwellings stand apart, designed for you to enjoy the peace and quiet of the forest in beautiful comfort. Unwind in your private hot tub after days spent exploring Acadia National Park and all the cultural and culinary offerings of Downeast Maine. Read a book in the hammock, roast a marshmallow over the smokeless fire pit. Sleep on the beds we’ve built by hand from trees that grew right here in these woods. We’ve made a place for you to rest and delight in the beauty of the forest.
