If you are looking for a quiet or romantic getaway that has access to beautiful beaches, good weather then this would be an amazing place. The views are spectacular and the owners were extremely kind and helpful in making it a very memorable and wonderful experience. It is very unique in many ways but just a wonderful place to relax in the sun and enjoy the beautiful pristine beaches. If you are looking for a lot of shopping, golf courses or crazy nightlife, this would not be the place for you. But it is a wonderful place to relax and for a family to enjoy good family time also.

Hosts were wonderful… could not have been more caring and accommodating. Everything about the house is wonderful, so beautifully decorated and equipped with everything to meet your needs, but that deck!!! OMG, what a view! And it’s HUGE!

Spectacular property and grounds!

Crosswinds is an incredible piece of property to stay at! My husband and I loved to sit on the deck and enjoy the gorgeous view, or to explore the beautiful gardens.Chip and Keith were the best hosts we've ever had and they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great. We can't say enough good things about them!

Wonderful spot and hosts

We stayed for a week with my parents, the location, house, terrace, grounds, view, beaches, and hosts were all great. We walked daily to the beautiful, uncrowded beaches and enjoyed the proximity to some good restaurants (we especially liked Coco Maya). Big thanks to Chip and Keith for their attention to detail, responsiveness and insider knowledge about the island. We would highly recommend.

There is a good reason that almost all the reviews here are 10/10. The house, location, amenities, feel......and most of all, Chip and Keith were the greatest hosts ever. After a long day of travel it was such a pleasure to collapse into this beautiful home. Everything was perfect. We are already looking forward to returning for a much longer stay.

Paradise in Beautiful Virgin Gorda

Chip and Keith are the perfect hosts with a beautiful property surrounded by rock boulders and beautiful gardens. You will want to spend a lot of time on the giant deck overlooking the beach and nearby islands along with all the sailboats. The walk to the beach is easy and the water so enjoyable. You will not need anything as Keith and Chip have thought of all your needs. They even have the refrigerator with all your first day and more needs. It was such and enjoyable and relaxing trip, We will return!

Lovely Rental

My wife and I rented this lovely home for the Christmas/New Years holiday. The home was great. Wonderful location, fantastic deck, perfect breeze blowing through the house. The owners anticipated every need we might have, making our stay even more enjoyable. Many details that I had not considered, great bedding, beach chairs, snorkels, masks and fins, all there and ready for our use. I wouldn't hesitate to rent this home, or any other home owned by the same family.

The BEST HOSTS EVER

I can’t praise the hosts and property enough! The house is very comfortable with every detail thought of. The views from the huge deck are amazing. The deck is as big as the house and you can live out there. Chip and Keith have everything you could need. We were late getting in because of delays and they even went grocery shopping for us!!! I HIGHLY recommend staying here❤️

Heaven on earth

What could I possibly say that hasn’t been said in all of the other reviews who unanimously agree that this property,it’s Management and Location are simply 10 out of 10. It is not often that one is given the opportunity to be surrounded by such beauty in the gardens of a property in a Caribbean paradise with such privacy and intimacy all to yourselves. It is difficult to express our gratitude adequately to our hosts for the stay that we enjoyed so tremendously in in this gorgeous natural surrounding. From groundskeeping to housekeeping, and our attentive communicative hosts, our visit could not have been any more special than it was.

I call it Paradise

My family & I spent a week here the end of Jan. This year was special in that my grandson came, making him the 4th generation of our family to vacation here. The house is perfect and the owners provide everything you could possible need for a great beach vacation. The view is spectacular, the beds super comfortable, the breeze delightful. Whenever I think of vacationing elsewhere my husband will ask," Is it as nice?" and I have to answer no. We feel at home here in Crosswinds.

Great stay at the garden apartment!!

My boyfriend and I stayed in the first floor garden apartment for several days, visiting my parents and their friends who were staying in the main level for a couple of weeks. The apartment was the perfect size for 2 people with full kitchen and private outdoor patio. Since we were sharing the Villa with friends/family, we were able to take full advantage of the spectacular 2nd floor deck, hanging out and socializing up there when we wanted, but for times when we sought more privacy, the garden apartment was perfect. The owners live nearby and are extremely friendly, with lots of great tips about the island. We would highly recommend the garden apartment for a younger couple staying with guests of the Crosswinds or when visitors need a third bedroom.

Perfection!

Crosswinds is by far my favorite vacation spot! I have visited VG with my parents several times. It is the perfect getaway for us. The house is beautiful and welcoming and as previously stated, you can literally live on the incredible deck. While there are several restaurants on the Island, my family and I cook most of our meals right at the house. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could need while cooking and the expansive deck is the perfect dining spot. It is a short walk to the most amazing (and practically private) beaches I have ever seen. Virgin Gorda is my favorite place to visit; everyone on the island is incredibly friendly and relaxed. Part of me wishes Spring Bay could remain a hidden gem forever-it is quite literally heaven on earth!

Don't worry about the exclusivity of the island being lost. As long as you have to change planes in San Juan or take a two hour ferry from St Thomas the less adventurous will stick with the busier direct flight destinations.

Excellent In All Respects

This was a very special 2 bedroom unit with a centrally located living/dining/kitchen. Nice privacy. Exceptional in terms of amenities and nicely decorated. Huge second story deck with a view toward Beef Island and Tortola. Perfect for two couples. Just an easy walk down to the beach, very near the Baths. One of the nicer beaches on the planet, beautiful sand and magnificent granite batholiths. Close enough to Spanish Town to walk to dinner or the grocery, if you're so inclined. Chip and Keith were super hosts, very gracious and helpful and great communicators. I recommend their property highly. Virgin Gorda is recovering from the terrible storms of 2017 and it's a good time to return, if you were wondering

Best place we've stayed at yet

This is an amazing property. It is a very short, easy walk or snorkel to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, but the villa and it's expansive, gorgeous grounds made it extra special. The hosts were excellent--friendly and helpful, responsive communicators and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. It was like having a private concierge. The kitchen was stocked with everything anyone would need to cook a meal. However, we also enjoyed eating at some great restaurants the hosts recommended and made reservations for us at. The island is fairly quiet, but that was exactly what we were looking for. It was such a unique property on such a great spot, we plan to go back every year. This is a very desirable rental, so if you find it available for your dates, grab it right away. It will fill up quickly.

Beautiful, Relaxing Utopia

We have enjoyed two-week February vacations at Crosswinds for 7 consecutive years. The house is comfortable and well maintained, but the main attraction is the ample patio. This well shaded and breezy expanse has a comfortable living room area as well as dining space. One wall of the house opens completely to the patio and the ocean view beyond, giving a wonderful airy expanse. The kitchen is well equipped, including an outdoor grilling area on the patio. A three minute walk takes you to Spring Bay, one of the island's most beautiful private beaches. We enjoy the swimming, snorkeling and walking from beach to beach or down the road to the Baths. Crosswinds has been the perfect place to kick back and relax. Chip and Keith are wonderful and responsive hosts, and we simply love being here. Ned and Anne

No place like this!

I have spent 13 years vacationing at Spring Bay with my family and the last 4-5 trips we have stayed at Crosswinds. My husband won't go anywhere else! He always asks, "Is it better than Virgin Gorda?". We have stayed at several of the homes in Spring Bay and Crosswinds is where we return. The deck is fabulous! There is nowhere I would rather be at sunset than sitting on the deck with the unbelievable view. The house is very comfortable and well equiped. The owners are the best! They are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They know all the best places to go if you ever want to leave the beach or the deck. I can't say enough good things about them. I dispute the other reviewers saying this place is for 55+. My children started coming here when they were toddlers and my son came back to Crosswinds for his honeymoon. Quite a tribute to a place that is very special to us!

A Tropical Villa you would hope for:Our stay in Crosswinds Villa was everything you would hope to find when you imagine your ideal tropical villa. The expansive water views, the 4 acres of tastefully placed and maintained flowering and tropical plants and a large private lounging deck above to survey it all. All this privacy is only steps from the turquoise waters of Spring Bay and foot paths to several other white sand beaches. We were in disbelief we landed in such a perfect spot. The villa itself is clearly intended as a home versus the business of renting. You are meant to come back amd make it your own. Each room is fitted with top quality furniture, fabrics, materials and decor. The kitchen is equipped as a cook's kitchen but the nearby restaurants are excellent if you need time off, as we did. There are also further restaurants every bit as good, some including a boat trip, all an adventure to add to your memories.The on site owners are more like private concierges. They are available when you need them and invisible when you don't. While the island is safer than places most guests would come from, there is an extra layer of comfort knowing you can come and go leaving the house wide open and unprotected all day lone, just like the tropical island of your dreams. The only thing missing was all the friends we wish we could have shared such a special spot with. Look no further.

Awesome Villa, Amazing Hosts!

We were most fortunate to connect with Chip and Keith and their spectacular property Crosswinds after our "usual" rental on Spring Bay was damaged by Irma. If you are a long-time Virgin Gorda visitor or if you are checking it out for the first time, do not hesitate to consider staying in this incredible home. The outdoor living space is the heart of this home, and the panoramic view of the Sir Francis Drake channel is a wondrous daily sight. And oh, the sunsets! When you manage to get out of the deck hammock and go inside, you find a well-appointed and stocked kitchen, and a most comfortable indoor space including private bedrooms with tasteful furnishings and linens, and modern baths. Housekeeping is flawless. A highlight during our stay was a most gracious tour of the grounds and gardens by the longtime groundskeeper, who shared his knowledge and love of the natural world with us. The walk from the house to beautiful Spring Bay is a 3-minute floral feast for the senses, and there is easy access to several adjacent beaches, all stunning. Warm thanks to owners Keith and Chip, who were most attentive to our needs, and who reflect the friendliness of the people of this Island Paradise, Virgin Gorda.

Spectacular vacation and fabulous home and hosts

We rented Crossroads for 2 weeks our xmas holiday vacation. I can't say enough about how fabulous it was all the way around. We have traveled extensively all over the world, and stayed at many well known luxury resorts over the holidays-but this year we decided to try renting this home allowing for various friends and younger family members to join us for whatever time it best suited them. I have to say, it ended up being one of the very best holidays we have ever had. First of all, the hosts Chip and Keith could not have been more accommodating. They went out of their way to help set everything up for a perfect trip. When we arrived they had strung ornaments up the walkway, and upon entering the house, with it's amazing expansive view, we spotted the "island" Christmas tree that they had set up. It was such a special touch--as is their way. At any time, they were available to help us or guide us to activities, restaurants, etc.The housekeepers were really nice and kept the place spotless the whole time we were there. The house is set up for great outdoor living. Two completely private ensuite bedrooms/baths are on the main floor. The kitchen, living area opens up to an amazing very large deck. The deck is basically where we found ourselves spending the most time (and the beach!). It was very well appointed with high end teak/cushioned furniture. Clean and immensely comfortable. The lighting also allowed for evening and night time hanging out. The bedrooms were also well decorated, the beds immensely comfortable, bedding beautiful, and the bathrooms were nice. Downstairs there is a terrific separate apartment, so if you need three bedrooms, it works really well as a 3 bedroom/3 bath house. There is really plenty of space. The great part of the layout is that each bedroom really feels so private--you can't hear anything between them, and unlike many other rental houses they are situated in a way that ensures privacy, but still allows for family living. Finally, the beaches....oh my goodness. I'm a big swimmer and of all the Caribbean islands I've been too, nothing beats the water and beaches here. Plus the snorkeling right from the bay, a few minute walk from the house, was so colorful and the fish/coral really plentiful. I spotted so many tropical fish, all sizes, turtles, etc. The water was the perfect temperature as well. It is really a quick short stroll to the house, so you can come and go very easily. Oh my goodness. That you, thank you, thank you. We had the best time having you next door! Thanks so much for appreciating and even remembering what we thought were the smallest touches. The BVI does an incredible job guarding it's waters and beaches and few enjoyed themselves more than your family and friends. We look forward to your return one of these days!

La perfection existe

Magnifique maison, concept «crosswind » de climatisation naturelle idéal sous les alizés, décoration et confort d’un goût parfait, équipements de qualité et abondants, jardin immense et tellement bien entretenu, entre arbres, plantations et mégalithes (boulders) de Baths. L’accueil de Chip et Keith est chaleureux, dévoué, amical et efficace.

If you cannot read French, please trust they have posted 5 stars. Using an iPhone translator app it says "Magnificient House. Crosswinds is naturally air-conditioned using the trade winds. The decoration and comfort are of perfect taste and quality. There is abundant kitchen equipment. There is a huge and well-maintained garden with trees, plantings, and boulders. The welcome of Chip and Keith is warm, dedicated, friendly, and efficient.

Great Spot on VG

Host is very accommodating and a great communicator, as are the housekeeper and property manager. Location near Spring Bay is outstanding. Gorgeous property; super cool deck overlooking ocean; very comfortable, well equipped and furnished two BR house.

Absolutely wonderful !!!

Crosswinds villa is simply lovely and is a real oasis on Virgin Gorda. Chip and Keith are wonderful hosts that think of everything and are exceptionally helpful. They will make you feel welcomed and at home in their beautifully landscaped space that is a true gem. The house is nicely decorated and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen and amenities. All around the home are meticulously landscaped and cared-for grounds that probably look better now - post hurricane - than in the pictures. And you get to enjoy all this from an incredibly large and beautiful deck which opens to the home in a seamless way to allow outdoor living at its best. The western views make for perfect sunsets over the water....oh, and great Spring Bay beach is just a few minutes easy walk. Other reviews mention these things and really we could not have asked for a better place and experience !! We swam/snorkeled every day at the nearby beaches and also went diving and boating from the Spanish Town harbor. While the island of Virgin Gorda is still very much recovering from the hurricanes (more so the north end and Spanish Town) this end of the island is doing well. Thank you so much Chip and Keith, we did not want to leave and we'll definitely be back. !!
