Long weekend in LA

This listing was very nice- just as advertised. The home looks newly renovated, with a large kitchen and 2 spacious bedrooms/ bathrooms. Everything was provided for a relaxing stay with shops and restaurants also nearby which was very convenient. Thanks for making our short stay in LA so enjoyable!

gorgeous spot for a girls weekend!!

I stayed here with three friends and we had a great time! The place was really clean and well decorated and we felt like we had a lot of space. It was also in a great location (walkable to a lot of bars and restaurants) and we really appreciated the convenience of that. Also lots of street parking available as well as a designated parking spot so that was great! Host was great as well and easy to communicate with:)

Cozy - Great Location

Beautiful property in a perfect location. Area felt safe. Comfortable cozy rental. Having a private outdoor space was a plus. Adding a couple outdoor lounge chairs would be a great addition to the outdoor space. Host was attentive to all our questions and needs. Highly recommend this rental.

Wonderful stay at Maison Blanc

The house was very well appointed and very comfortable. Perfect location as well. Good communication with the owner as well. This house is an oasis in the midst of the hustle and bustle of LA. Great backyard to sit and enjoy the sun and nice set up to enjoy some TV after a long day. We really enjoyed our stay and will surely visit again next time we are in LA!

Amazing!!

I stayed at Julie’s house for 40 days. It was the perfect place to prepare to and recover from surgery, providing a perfect peaceful oasis right in the middle of everything. The bedroom that opens to the beautiful garden was godsend on those days I couldn’t leave bed. I would stay there again and again.

I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to spend my vacation. The property was absolutely beautiful. I spent all my mornings in the gorgeous backyard because I couldn’t help but spend time back there. The location of the property was also wonderful. We were able to walk to so many cool places. I can just not say enough good things about this property, and if I ever come back, I will no doubt try to stay here again.

Excellent, relaxing property. Close to everything but quiet and comfortable

I was undergoing treatments at UCLA so needed to be close and have room for someone to stay with me, plus a yard for my dog to romp around. This house was perfect! Both bedrooms were very comfortable, kitchen and living area provided good conversational areas. The front yard was well screened for privacy. We could eat breakfast outside, then enjoy cocktails and dinner after the sun set a bit. Highly recommended! Wish i were feeling up to enjoy the neighborhood as much as my friends did!

LA stay

Good quite location for exploring LA. Internal paint work ready for a refresh and the garden furniture in need of replacement. Bed in the bedroom overlooking the garden reported to be very squeaky by my daughter and her partner (ours was fine and vry comfortable). Other than this absolutely no complaints the property was clean and tidy which in my mind is the most important!

The host seemed welcoming. The property is in a great location. It’s charming inside. It’s an easy walk to Melrose place. There are many fine elements to the place. However, The tv did not have cable and stopped working altogether the last few days I was there. For what I spent it should definitely have cable and at least Netflix and HBO. The coffee maker died and it was replaced with the cheapest one on the market which also stopped working. Not too much to ask for a decent coffee maker. There were also rat droppings in the kitchen, even though I kept it very clean. I didn’t say anything while I was there because I didn’t want be exposed to the chemicals they would use to kill them. With a few basic improvements this could be a good rental.

Hi thanks for the full score review and your earlier request to rebook with us! We just updated our coffee machine as the one for quick replacement is the fastest that can arrive. TV is working with DIRECTV premium. But the setting is indeed confusing and sometimes will be locked. But we do indeed need to migrate to smart tv. For the past 16 years, no trace of rat or even bugs or complaints/reports from guests. We will watch closely and see if anything needs to be done.

Not up to expectations

While the main bedroom and bathroom were quite comfortable, the second bedroom and bathroom were small and some leaking from the toilet was evident. The kitchen was barely equipped in terms of crockery and utensils for four people and the external areas (front garden furniture, barbecue and laundry) were quite dirty. The workers building a new front fence meant the garden was not an attraction. The lounge and dining areas are spacious and subtly decorated. We found that we had to drive to anywhere interesting.

Poor Communication

Our host failed to provide us with the check in details, and I spent four hours trying to reach her and another 45 minutes on the phone directly with VBRO. We finally heard from her 45 minutes after our check-in time when we were anxious and concerned that we were going to have to try to find another place to stay at the last minute for our son’s graduation. Also, the tandem parking was unworkable, and we spent a good deal of time searching for parking on the streets. We were only three people so the advertisement that the property slept six was not a problem for us, but the property only had two bedrooms each with one bed in them. The only way the property sleep sex is if two other individuals would share a couch. In all other respects the facility was spacious, clean and lovely. The location was convenient.

Thank you for the advice. We provided in the add it’s for 4 adults and 2 young children. We will make it more specific to avoid confusion. My apology for the communications issues. I thought we already provided checkin details but the message wasn’t delivered properly. Glad it was fixed in the last minute. We always try to respond in real time if you look at other reviews but accident happens and we will improve on that. Cheers,
