We had a great time fishing from the dock and watching the wildlife. The Check in process is excellent, and the property is gorgeous. Will be returning!

We know the house is a little aged. Cleaning was a little off. The upstairs shower had some mold growing on the caulk. The sliding doors going outside had some scum in the tracks making them a little difficult to slide. Other than that, the house was great.

Perfect vacation home.

We loved our stay at Family Tides. The only improvement would be better mattresses (softer) for the bunk beds and double bed.

Great location for boating, but make sure your trailer fits. Boat should be 24 ft or less.

Great Island Retreat

My husband and I rented this house for our 40th anniversary trip to Chincoteague Island, VA, based on a referral by friends…and it did not disappoint! Great location, easy access to everything, had everything we needed!

Great location

We enjoyed walking to restaurants and ice cream and had fun kayaking each morning. House was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Family Tides is absolutely amazing. From the breathtaking view of the waterfront to the cleanliness of the property, everything was spectacular. We spent so much time fishing off the dock and taking in the scenery from the deck. We will be back!

Great place for a relaxing family vacation

The house is a great place to spend a week recharging with your family. Clean and well appointed. Close to shopping and restaurants. The backyard and dock out back was the highligt of the property!

Great short stay

What a great place for our short stay in Chincoteague! Walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. Nice views and less than a mile from Island Nature Trail and juat a short walk to a waterfront park. House was clean and cozy. Great experience.

Lovely Island Getaway

If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is certainly a place to check out. We've stayed twice over the past two months and have really enjoyed the community and everything the home has to offer -- especially the private dock. The home is perfect for grilling out and catching beautiful sunsets, while still being close enough to wonderful local eateries for takeout.

Nice and cozy

It was nice and quiet on the island and the kitchen was a perfect place to gather and play board games while enjoying a home made meal.

Love it! Close to the Main Street, beauitful water views. You can see Wallops take offs from the yard. Clean, brand new deck, beauitful stay

Tranquil escape

Awesome view!

We had a great time fishing out back! The house was beautiful and the little ones loved to run and play on the wrap around front porch and out back in the sand. Very cozy.

Comfortable home in Chincoteague

We enjoyed our stay in Chincoteague; the water view in the back is fantastic and the home is very comfortable for relaxing. One cautionary not is that you will need to bring your own towels and soap - we did not realize that until after we arrived.

Great weekend

We had a great weekend at Family Tides. The house is within walking distance to the Island Creamery and the Downtown area. The kitchen has all the equipment/utensils needed to cook great meals, the large book collection was enjoyed as much as the toys and games available. Our kids appreciated especially the outside area and the dock at the back of the house.
