Escape to The Barn at Whispering Grove, a peaceful retreat nestled on 7 private acres near Gainesville, Florida. January is our quiet season and ideal for peaceful, longer stays. Perfect for couples, families, or solo travelers, this cozy two-bedroom barn features a warm living area, a fully equipped kitchenette with a full-size fridge and microwave, Wi-Fi, and free streaming on Netflix and Prime Video.

Step outside to enjoy the garden patio, BBQ grill, and firepit for unforgettable evenings under the stars. Two loft bedrooms offer a queen bed and two twin beds (note: loft ceilings are 40 inches high—cozy for sleeping, but not full standing height).

We had an amazing time staying in this sweet barn. We enjoyed time sitting outside enjoying the quite evenings by the propane firepit. The barn was super clean, and the layout was an excellent use of space. We will definitely stay again.

The defining characteristic of this estate is the profound quiet. We heard virtually no traffic or neighborhood noise, making it the perfect sanctuary for reading and, enjoying deep, uninterrupted sleep. It felt like a true escape from the bustle of the city. The Property and Host: The space itself was immaculate, thoughtfully decorated, and extremely comfortable. Peter was an excellent host, providing easy check-in instructions and prompt, helpful communication. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for genuine peace and quiet. We can't wait to return!

Staying at the cabin was a wonderful experience. Peter and Diana were great hosts, very communicative and welcoming. We were greeted with flowers, chocolates and hand written card. Place is fitted with all new amenities, well equipped kitchen with dishes and even a washer/dryer combo. There are two bedrooms in the loft area, one with queen bed and other with two twin beds. Full bathroom with shower with multiple shower heads. Overall this tiny house provided everything we could possibly ask for. Highly recommended.

I'm a retired Army Master Sergeant turned peaceful place-builder. After 23 years of service, I traded combat boots for barefoot mornings and began creating spaces where guests can rest, reset, and reconnect.
I’m a woodworker, minimalist, and father who believes stillness is the new luxury. I built The Whispering Grove with my own hands — not just as a vacation rental, but as a sanctuary for the soul.

I chose this area because it’s quiet, grounded, and surrounded by the kind of natural beauty that invites you to slow down and breathe. Nestled just outside Gainesville, it offers the best of both worlds — peaceful woods and open skies, with stores and springs just minutes away.
The neighborhood feels like a hidden pocket of North Florida — where neighbors wave, deer wander through in the morning, and the loudest sound at night is the hoot of an owl. I fell in love with the stillness here, and I knew it was the perfect place to build a space for others to come recharge and reconnect with nature.

Inside, you’ll find a warm living area, fully equipped kitchenette with a full-size fridge and microwave, private bathroom with a rainfall shower, and thoughtful touches throughout. Enjoy free Netflix and Prime Video for cozy evenings, along with games in the ottoman for a quiet night in.

The barn features two lofts — one with a queen bed, one with two single beds. Please note: the loft ceilings are 40 inches high, perfect for sleeping and lounging but not for standing.
