Grande maison du lac - à quelques pas de la plage dans une communauté privée

La maison Perch Lake est parfaite pour les familles nombreuses et les réunions de famille, pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 23 personnes. The Perch est dans la communauté privée de Mitiwanga Beach. Il se trouve à deux rues du lac mais à quelques pas de la plage. Vous aurez une vue imprenable sur le lac depuis le salon, le pont arrière et deux des trois balcons. La communauté comprend: deux courts de tennis, des terrains de basket-ball, de volley-ball et de nombreuses activités communautaires tout au long de l'été. Ne vous inquiétez pas d'apporter des fournitures de plage car nous en avons! Nous fournissons des serviettes de plage, des jouets de plage, des chaises et un parapluie. Nous avons également des balles de tennis et des raquettes de tennis, du basket-ball et du volley-ball pour tous les sportifs! Nous n'avons pas de câble mais il y a le Wifi et Netflix sur les trois téléviseurs. La grande cuisine avec coin repas a tout ce dont vous aurez besoin pendant votre séjour - tout ce que vous avez à faire est d'apporter la nourriture! Le salon et la salle à manger sont spacieux avec beaucoup d'espace pour tout le monde et une vue sur le lac depuis les fenêtres du salon. La salle de billard au rez-de-chaussée a une table de billard et la table de baby-foot et la table de ping-pong sont au sous-sol. Le sous-sol a également une chambre bonus avec une salle de bain complète, une autre cuisine pleine grandeur et un deuxième ensemble de laveuse et sécheuse. Le pont arrière juste à côté de la cuisine a des chaises, un foyer, un bar, un gril à gaz et un évier. C'est l'endroit idéal pour passer ces nuits d'été à griller! Nous sommes à moins de 10 minutes de Huron et 10 à 15 minutes de Vermillion. Si vous cherchez à aller à Cedar Point c'est à environ 20-30 minutes en voiture de la maison. Le Perche est notre endroit préféré pour passer notre temps en été et nous espérons que vous viendrez voir pourquoi!

Family reunion and retirement celebration

We had a wonderful weeklong vacation in this amazing home. We had everything we could possibly need and more. It was beyond perfect for our celebration. The location was great - near Cedar Point, Huron, Vermillion - grocery and drugstore nearby but old school family friendly neighborhood steps away from a beautiful private beach. We had 7 adults and 4 children ages 2-9. Plenty of room for all. Thank you Charles and Emma for our family vacation dream come true.

Mitiwanga on Lake Erie

Our stay was GREAT, sorry for yelling, but it was GREAT! One Grandson had is birthday on 5 Jul and could not have asked for a better time. We spent time in Cleveland and saw the "Indians vs the Braves" at his request. Cedar Point, Lake Erie beaches, the neighborhood, how well the house was equipped with everything we needed and how well the house is built and maintained. This is a gem and would love to do it again.

Lake Vacation

We normally vacation on the Outer Beaches of NC, but this year we decided to meet family members halfway and stay on the Lake. The Perch was perfect! The house has everything you could ask for to include, all the linens, cooking supplies, beach toys. The beds are made prior to our arrival and check out was easy. I personally parked our vehicle on Sunday and didn't move it until Friday. The beach was wonderful, a quick and easy walk from the house. The owners were responsive and very helpful. We hope to make it back soon.

Perfect for our family vacation

We had 8 kids (4,4,8,8,10,11,14,16) and 8 adults and this was a great fit for us. We played kickball, wiggle ball, soccer and basketball in the small, private community park (we brought our own sport gear). We did this when we weren’t swimming in the lake or at cedar point. It was great to have the towels, sheets and all the kitchen stuff we needed at our finger tips. Even had a hair dryer! Small grocery store within 3 minutes away and a dollar general within 5. Cute ice cream shop in vermillion just 10 minutes away.

Summer rental

Not a bad place, but needs a bit of adjustment in expectation setting. The house itself is in good shape on the inside and has plenty of room and things to use (kitchen, towels, games, etc.). Its everything else that is a bit off. Your view of lake is minimal and about 3 blocks away. The beach for the community is very small and has a ton of rocks. The location is not very close to shopping, so be prepared to drive 15 minutes to markets. The deck was in pretty bad shape and we couldn't even use it as it was very dirty. We did grill, but only after the property team came out and cleaned the grill on day 3. So in all, its not a bad place, but for the price I think I would look at other spots closer and that can give you a better beach access. Our highlight was playing family volleyball games next to the house.

I'm sorry to hear you were not completely satisfied with your stay. We stayed there for our annual family vacation the week after you and power washed the deck for the second time this year. We also asked the cleaning crew to give attention to the outside kitchen with each cleaning. There is not just one section of Beach available to you as you stay but 4 all across the lakefront separated by 5 piers. We have a large family and there was plenty of beach for all of us to play, along with the rest of the community. Our house is the 3rd back from the lake so to say 3 blocks is not very accurate. This is a new house and very big so there are some things we are still learning about ourselves, however we have been staying in Huron each year for the past 15 years so the area is very familiar. From our house the closest grocery store is 5 minutes in downtown Huron. Vermillion also offers many amenities 10 minutes away. Communication is appreciated so that these issues can be addressed.

Wonderful property and hosts, wonderful experience

All of the great things that the description and other reviewers say about this property and the hosts are true. Our extended family of 3 children and 8 adults ranging in age from 4 to 85 stayed for a week. Everyone had a wonderful time and wants to return. Hosts Emma and Charles are proactive, warm, and responsive. When the microwave stopped working we had a replacement from the storage room within 15 minutes of texting them - on a Sunday evening! A minor maintenance issue was fixed the next morning. The beach is a very short walk from the house. While it is relatively small, it is perfect for children, clean, nice sand, and waves to play in. It was almost empty during our stay. The house is large and very comfortable, with an amazing number of amenities and activities - a library with numerous books, games, puzzles, and a billiards table, ping pong and Foosball tables, drip and Keurig coffee machines, a food processor, a citrus squeezer(!), gas grill, fire pit, beach and recreation supplies including sand chairs and an amazing number of beach towels, two refrigerators, two sets of washers and driers, the list goes on and on. We also found many activities, restaurants, ice cream parlors, etc. in the area. This place, and the hosts, are very special. Highest recommendation. We will be back!

Great place and awesome hosts!

The Perch was the perfect place for my family and I to meet up for an end-of-summer getaway. Our growing family ranges in ages from 9 months to 60+ years, and the Perch offered us everything we needed and more. The location is top notch, offering something for everyone in our group, whether it was games on the tennis and basketball courts all day, a two minute walk to the beach, or a quick trip to Cedar Point for the coaster enthusiasts. The house itself is awesome, and particularly separates itself from other rentals with how well-stocked it is. There was need for nothing in the kitchen where we made breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 14 people each day. Likewise, the bed sheets, bath towels, and beach towels really made everything easier specifically for me, my wife and baby, as we flew in from New England and couldn’t bring every provision. There were also several baby and kids toys available, which all the kids played with more than their own! Lastly, what really separates the Perch from other rentals is the hosts, Charles and Emma. We had more than a plethora of questions leading up to the stay and the first night of the stay while we were getting situated and they responded to absolutely everything immediately and couldn’t have been more helpful. They also let us check in more than an hour early, even though the cleaners were there that afternoon turning the house over from guests that checked out that morning. Overall 10/10 rating, I HIGHLY recommend.

If 3.5 stars was an option...

Overall, we loved the location and functionality of the house, but did feel as though it was lacking. I will say foremost, the owner was very responsive when I reached out, which I greatly appreciate. The house was well stocked, well cleaned and a had a nice layout. We also had issue with the a/c, the coldest we got the house was 70 degrees, but most days it was a struggle to keep it under 80 on the main floor which was just not comfortable for us or the babies. The bedroom on the 3rd floor with no AC was unusable, which meant we had to bunk our 3 big boys in the pool / library room and move adults into the bunk room to accommodate all of our guests (which we had planned on using before the creation of the basement "room"). There was one night that the power went out, the house was already at 78 at 10PM, when attempting to open windows, not all of them had screens. The front porch railing / steps were in rough condition, making it hard for babies and our injured guest to get up and down. The back porch is in rough shape, but we loved the grill which we used numerous times. It would be helpful to have more areas to put garbage, with 17 of us eating in for every meal we had a lot of garbage and not a lot of places to put it. The upstairs washing machine was uneven which was really annoying while we were doing laundry. Loved the location, it was truly steps to a very wonderful beach. It was a nice quiet neighborhood and the drive to Cedar Point was easy.

Unfortunately the home came with an undersized ac unit which we did not find out about until this summer. A new one will be changed out this fall. Great Family House

We had 10 adults in our family group, and we were very comfortable. Loved the big, comfy couch in the living room and open kitchen with two dining tables for family meals. The kitchen is nicely appointed, and the location was great. We had fun playing pickleball at the tennis courts, just steps away.

Owners are awesome to work with!

This is a beautiful home and all 15 of us had plenty of room. The grandkids loved the short walk to a very nice beach. We also went to Cedar Point two days and the drive was only about 20 minutes. The owners of the house were so easy to work with. We would stay there again for sure.

Perfect getaway for a large family!

We had a great time at The Perch! There was plenty of room for our family of 15 to eat play and sleep. The house was clean, full of natural light, and had all of the supplies needed to stay comfortably. Communication with the owners was easy and helpful. The beach was a short walk from the house and it was also convenient to have the tennis courts and basketball court so close. The owners were so kind and thoughtful, they even left a nice surprise for us upon arrival for my husband’s birthday! I would highly recommend staying at the perch!

Cousins Weekend

Our stay at the Perch Lake House could not have been better!! The property was everything advertised and more. The house was large, spacious and very clean!! Loved that we had four full baths for the 12 of us and they seemed like new baths! We played pool, sat outside and just generally felt very much at home. The owner was very easy to communicate with and had everything ready for us. Planning on staying there next year for cousins weekend and really looking forward to it. Thanks for everything Jessica!

Something for all ages

Very young grandkids were content to play for hours in sand and water at quiet private neighborhood beach. Teens enjoyed large house common area for board games and with Cedar Point just minutes away. Large kitchen and eating areas.

The Perch

Our family was very pleased with our stay at the Perch in Mitiwanga. We usually stay at another rental house in Mitiwanga, but as our family grows our need for more room grows. The “Perch” fits those needs. So much room for everyone. Well equipped kitchen with three coffee pots. The pool table was used by all. We also enjoyed a couple of evening fires on the back deck. We highly recommend your family give the “Perch” a try. You won’t be disappointed. -The Olden Family

When we found this home we knew it was perfect because it can fit our very large family but also provides the thing we love so much - the beach!
