Our host communicated better than any vacation rentals I have ever stayed in. Their kitchen was well stocked with cookware that was like new. Plenty dinnerware and flatware. The host also provided many options for coffee, both ground and Keurig. Home was clean and ready for our arrival.

A totally peaceful and relaxing property. The hosts thought of everything. The bathrooms felt like a hotel - blow dryers, extra towels (in addition to the towels in each room), black make-up washcloths, tissue boxes, bathroom sprays. There were extra pillows and blankets, and trash cans in almost every room. There were hot tub towels inside near the deck doors and a towel rack near the hot tub. I recommend bringing thicker towels for the hot tub if you come in the colder temps - glad we did. The rooms had no dressers, but shelves in two of the closets and a rack in the bedroom with the extra half-bath and washer/dryer (where the closet would have been). The kitchen was fully stocked with tea bags, cocoa, k-cups, ground coffee, creamers and sugars. There were cookware and bakeware and plenty of glass and dishware. However, we ate out every day. This was such a wonderful place to stay. It was very relaxing to sit on the deck and listen to the deafening silence. It was so peaceful. The house was very clean upon arrival. The curtains were open, letting in all the natural light. It was easy for us to connect to our streaming services on the tv, which says it would automatically delete all your information on checkout.This was the best stocked VRBO we've stayed in. It's a great location in the woods. There are nearby houses, but not on top of each other.If you are coming for the week, note that many places are closed on Tuesday & Wednesday.

Hi! We're a family in the exciting (and bittersweet) stage of becoming empty nesters, looking ahead to retirement and all the new adventures that come with it. As we enter this new chapter, we wanted a place where we could reconnect with nature, spend time with our grown kids—and hopefully future grandkids—and create lasting memories together.

We fell in love with this charming chalet and the peaceful community around it because it reminded us of the kind of place we would have loved to take our family when our children were younger. Surrounded by trees, trails, and wildlife, yet just minutes from the heart of Berkeley Springs, it’s truly the best of both worlds: a quiet nature escape with a cozy, small-town vibe.

We love hiking, exploring the outdoors, and simply enjoying the slower pace of mountain life—and this home gives us all of that and more. Since we’re still working and can’t be here full time just yet, we’re happy to share this little piece of paradise with guests when we’re away. It’s a space filled with love, laughter, and peaceful moments, and we hope it brings you the same joy it brings us.
