Propriété face à l'océan, à quelques minutes de San Francisco au milieu du parc national.

Petit chalet juste sur la plage. TrÚs proche de San Francisco - à 20 min du Golden Gate Bridge. Escapade romantique. Parfait pour les couples ou comme refuge tranquille pour un individu. Cheminées à bois dans le salon et la chambre. Grande terrasse et bain à remous privé donnant sur l'océan.

We’ve stayed here several times. It’s one of the most romantic places on the planet. It’s quiet and close to beautiful hiking and beach beaches. It’s one of those places you just wanna bring a guitar and a book and spend the whole day just watching the ocean.

Relaxing and beautiful

Such a great little get away from our hectic lives. We could unwind while sitting on the balcony overlooking the beach. We loved watching the dogs enjoy their time in the water. Very comfortable and the little inn down the road was a great place to eat. Sigward was a great host and gave us lots of information before our visit to help us enjoy this little gem!

Idyllic

We had the most relaxing 5 days at Muir Beach! Perfect location for excursions to Stinson Beach, Bobo, Point Reyes, Muir Wood, Mt. Tam, wine country and the City. We also enjoyed a trip to the Farallons with the Oceanic Society (highly recommended!). Some of our most enjoyable moments were spent on the deck watching the sea, sunsets, wildlife, taking walks on the beach and simply listening to the rhythmic surf from the comfort of Sigward’s lovely retreat. His home provided the perfect respite to unwind from the day’s activities and recharge for the next adventure. We did not want for anything save more time which we hope to rectify in the future. Your stay will leave you with cherished memories and a desire to linger a little longer. Sigward is the most accommodating and attentive host whose hospitality surpasses all expectations. He ensured our questions were answered and needs fulfilled. We are already anticipating our return and the hope we can spend it in the comfort of Muir Beach.

Restorative

Such a wonderful place to rest, regroup, restore. It was PERFECT! The deck provided stunning views of the ever-changing Muir beach. The bed was comfy. We read, enjoyed wine on the deck and an evening fire in the fireplace. Didn’t use the jacuzzi but what a view it has. The owner is very communicative and ensured our every need and expectation was met. The sound systems were great for streaming relaxing tunes to accompany the sounds of the surf. Muir Woods is only a 10 minute drive. Don’t forget to make reservations if you plan on walking amongst the redwoods. It’s worth it! We would definitely return to this VRBO and hope to do so.

World class views

We had a wonderful experience with this listing. It is a rustic, chic, minimalist cottage perched on the edge of the Pacific. It has a fantastic view of Muir Beach and distant views of the entrance to San Francisco Bay; lights of the peninsula add a sparkle to the horizon. There is a REAL fireplace with REAL wood in the living area and bedroom. The hot tub has its own cliff edge sanctuary, protected from view and the direct sun by a beautiful coastal pine, yet close to the beauty and sound of the surf. It is the best hot tub view we have experienced! There is close and easy access to the beach. The bed is very comfortable and has the same ocean view as the living room. The owner has gone to great lengths to make the cottage warm, comfortable, and relaxing. And speaking of the owner, Sigward is an exceptional host - very solicitous of our needs and readily accessible to help in any way he can. His food recommendations were excellent- particularly FISH. In Sausalito. We cannot recommend this property too highly! Richard and Sherry

For the last few years, I have been mostly focused on supporting and investing in projects around hospice and end-of-life, companies created by and for women, and lately the clinical application of psychedelics for mental health. As an adjunct lecturer, I also teach a class on entrepreneurship and start-ups in the area of management and communication in IT at MCI, an Austrian University with affiliations to Stanford, Yale, and Cornell University.
I was born in Austria where I spend about half of the year for family reasons and because it's home. I love the ocean and was lucky to have found this place while still working in Manhattan.
