Old Town Kenai Bluff House, vue imprenable

Kenai Bluff House est situé dans le centre historique de Kenai. La maison a été construite en 1935, et acheté par mes grands-parents en 1947. Mon père a grandi dans cette maison! Bien sûr, la maison a été rénové et dispose de toutes les commodités modernes, mais a une histoire merveilleuse et riche famille. La maison dispose de quatre chambres et deux salles de bains, une cuisine bien équipée et beaucoup de place pour toute votre famille.

La propriété dispose d'une grande pelouse et meubles de jardin pour profiter de la vue imprenable sur le détroit de Cook. Vous pouvez regarder les bateaux de pêche vont et viennent avec la marée. Eagles atterrissent souvent à droite sur la pelouse car ils sont hors de croisière pour leur prochain repas de l'océan.

Kenai est une petite ville et le "centre" est pittoresque et calme. La maison est située à l'extrémité d'une rue résidentielle. Il est situé à côté de Erik Hansen Scout Park, un petit parc communautaire et contient une statue en bronze d'un boy-scout surplombant le Cook Inlet. Les panneaux d'interprétation soulignent de nombreuses caractéristiques physiques du paysage et une plaque commémorative est fixée à la base de la statue. Parc comprend quelques arbres, quelques arbustes, deux jardins de fleurs, et une passerelle de gravier menant au bord de la falaise. Ceci est un grand espace juste pour s'asseoir, se détendre et profiter de la vue étendue sur la partie inférieure de Cook Inlet, terres de marée, et de la bouche de la rivière Kenai.

Nous sommes situés à distance de marche de l'historique Église orthodoxe russe et Kenai Visitor and Convention Center qui a une visite à pied historiques disponibles dans ce domaine. Cette propriété est sur la visite à pied, comme la maison Showalter (n ° 10) !!

Il ya plusieurs bons restaurants où vous pouvez marcher ainsi.

Les tarifs sont raisonnables par nuit pour quatre personnes. Aucun frais de nettoyage séparé. Toutefois, les clients ne doivent pas quitter le poisson reste sur la propriété. Frais de nettoyage applique si des restes de poissons sont laissés sur la propriété.

Beautiful views, great neighborhood

All was good, especially the views and the neighborhood. There is a cute coffee house nearby, a couple of neighborhood bars and a burger bus! The kitchen lacked a few things, but we were out so much it ended up not being a big deal. The house could use a little warmth, but price was right, location was great and the host was easy to work with!

We enjoyed the house and view. It was absolutely fantastic! The kitchen did lack a few supplies as far as pots and pans, and the Internet did not work for the entirety of the trip…… But who needs that when you’re in Alaska!! Very accessible to salmon, fishing and other attractions.Other than that, it’s an absolute gorgeous place and would highly suggest staying at this property!!

Gorgeous location! Truly the most beautiful views of anywhere we’ve ever stayed. It’s also huge, which was great. Plenty of space for a big group. The house is old (it’s historic, but it also just feels old— creaky, tired furniture, no screens on windows, etc.), and it could’ve been cleaner. The upstairs shower had a leak, but the owners were prompt in responding about this issue and refunded part of the cost. Kenai is a beautiful little town. Thanks for having us.

Perfect weekend

We were in town for my dad's 95th birthday and my brothers nd sisters enjoyed the property. The bluff views were amazing. We managed to get the only sunny weekend in a couple month run.

Favorite By Far!

We absolutely loved this place! There's so much space and we felt so at home. Tried to stay longer but they were all booked up. Lesson learned, book this place early! If we ever get the chance to come back to Alaska, we will definitely be staying here!

Beautiful View

Love the view, right on the bluff, overlooking the mouth of the Kenai River and ocean; plus mountains! Property is old, but very roomy and nice set up; it does need some minor maintenance, and it was sometimes difficult to get a response from owners when we had questions. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Ak Adventure with daughter and grands

Great location and plenty of room. Not nasty dirty but not as clean as it should be. We saw in guest book a baseball team eating three meals a day was here before us but some of the dirt was before them. I would stay again for location and split bedrooms were good for separating kids and us old folks.

This property is in a fantastic location, with the best views ever! The house is old but large and great for families or large groups. The kitchen is large but could use more consistency with dishes. The house does need some minor maintenance, and small fixes that would go a long way. We had a great time and really enjoyed the large yard, fire pit and especially the views.

Amazing views and updated house!!!

The pictures of the view on this site do not do it justice!!! The house is a tall bluff that looks over the ocean/Kenai river mouth and has mountains across the ocean that create the most amazing sunset you've ever seen! The house is plenty big for lots of people with lots of sleeping room. Fantastic!

Family Trip

Great house for 3 families (8 of us) to stay in. Space for every one to have their own space! Loved having a view of the water, the teens loved venturing down the road for beach access and checking the beaches for sea creatures during low tide. We had eagles fly by all the time and even have a couple stop in the yard. Thanks for sharing your house with us!!

Beautiful Views

The house had beautiful views and was spacious. It is an older home that could use some TLC though to make it truly exceptional. The kitchen was rather hit and miss on dishes. We also had some issues with the wifi but the owners were helpful getting it fixed when they were contacted. Overall I would recommend the location but some extra effort in the house would really make it Great!

Love Old Town

We fish the Kenai every year and usually camp or spend 2 nights in a hotel. This year we had family visiting from out of state. We planned 2 different fishing trips so needed to stay for 5 days. A house was the perfect solution. The location was perfect with a great view of the mouth of the river and the inlet. My husband spent several hours on the bluff watching dip netters and boats coming and going. We walked around the neighborhood and enjoyed the historic buildings. The house was well equipped and comfortable. We will come back!

This house was past down to me from my dad. He was raised in this house along with all his siblings in only 4 rooms including the kitchen, which did not have a bathroom or a living room.

I was born and raised on the Kenai Peninsula as well and Jason was born in Nome and has lived on the Kenai Peninsula since 1994.

We lived in this house with our growing family and loved being so close to town, but feeling like being out of town.

We hope to share our culture with you as I, Jennifer, am part Dena'ina Athabaskin and Jason is part Inupiaq.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

The view that you will have from this property is amazing! You can see all three mountains, Mt. Spurr, Mt. Redoubt and Mt. Iliamna! The sunrise and sun sets are seen from this property, and are incredible, especially in the winter months! You can see the dip net fishery in the month of July, as well as all entire commercial fishing boats coming in and out of the river with the various openings. If you are lucky, you might see a beluga or two and you will definitely see seagulls and eagles flying and landing on the bluff!

Alaska has endless places to visit and see! We have tried to bring some of it to the rooms for you to enjoy. Any questions that you may have about what Alaska has to offer you we would be happy to help with!

The land of the midnight sun can bring much light that many people are not use to. The rooms have black out blinds that help people who need a little extra help to go to sleep. The house is located on a street which is closed to through traffic, therefore is very quiet!
