This was the perfect beach house on a private, calm and quiet beach. The caretakers and host did a phenomenal job and went above and beyond for us! We highly recommend this house!

beautiful area,

is a beautiful house, needs lost of care, windows need screen, doors also to keep flys and mosquitos out, i enjoy my stay at san juan.

Sorry that you were not thrilled with the mosquitos but while we do not have screens on every single window in the house, each room does have windows that have a screen on them so you can open up to get fresh air without dealing with the bugs flying around. We showed this to them after they asked.

Great location. Caretaker is wonderful. House is clean. House does need some work, bathroom faucet upstairs didn’t work, shower faucet a bit difficult to turn off. Kitchen was clean. No washer or dryer at the property.

Excellent Beachfront location

We were a big group of 8 people. My family and I had a wonderful stay. The listing was very accurate and communicating with everyone was very easy. The location was excellent as we were literally on the beach. Waking up in the morning to the Ocean view and hearing the waves at night, were AWESOME. I highly recommend this home.

Beautiful Home

House was pretty much like pictures although pool smaller than it looks in photos. On site staff was friendly and helpful. Owner was very easy to get ahold of for any questions. Was very windy when we were there so was hard to enjoy the beach. House was very clean, beds comfortable and views were amazing.

Rustic adventure on a private beach!

Proximity to the beautiful little private beach with stunning views of the ocean and sky - were the best parts about this house! The house could use lots of general updates (seems like it hasn't been painted or parts fixed since its build?) and clearer directions for lights, fans, WiFi, etc. It felt a little treacherous to get to as well- but were adventuresome folk, so it was all worth the ride.

Playa Marsella Charm

This is our second stay at this property and we will return next year. The location is great. 20 minutes from town and worth the drive. 2 restaurants on the beach…a 1 minute walk. Another 5 minute drive to a great breakfast and specialty coffee spot. 5 minutes away from another beach that has 3 restaurants and amazing surf lessons and rentals….and the sunsets are to die for. The caretaker and his family that live on the property are some of the nicest people I have ever met and we have continued to communicate with them since last year. Harry the property manager is super easy to communicate with and very responsive. Can’t wait till next year.

Unsanitary and unsafe filled with bats in the home

The home was not as depicted in pictures.it was dirty , not well kept and worst of all had bats in the home and the rooms smelled of urine from the bats

This is not an accurate review of the property. We had people stay a week before them who had no issues and left 5 star review. This guest did have an issue with bats in the roof though and we have addressed the issue already. Additionally the house is clean and we have staff onsite for issues. She never once complained about the house being dirty. I feel this review violates the review policy as it isn't truthful and is easily disproven and am working with vrbo to get it removed.

We enjoy the tranquility, breathtaking views and spectacular sunsets that make San Juan del Sur such a special place. Ideal for relaxing, sharing with family and creating unforgettable memories. We would definitely stay here again." San Juan del Sur is known for its beautiful beaches, relaxed atmosphere and spectacular sunsets, making it one of the most visited coastal destinations in Nicaragua, Excellent host. Very attentive, friendly, and always willing to help. Communication was quick and clear from the start. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Awful home

Pictures are deceiving. Pricing extremely high for the quality of the rental. Ran down, dirty, awful furniture. Dirty moldy water. Crusty towels that they were so worry people would take. We had a three day stay and left after one night due to late arrival and had no other option. Beach not pretty. Neighbor demolishing a zinc roof at 6 am in the morning making lots of noise.

There are many inaccuracies in this review so please do not put much weight on it. We are priced based on the market and typically it is lower than what is recommended. No one has ever complained about the furniture and the house was clean upon arrival and we have staff onsite should the guests want something touched up. The water is not moldy or dirty. It is fine to use for showering, washing dishes, or brushing teeth but not recommended to consume by drinking or cooking with. You should use the bottle water supplied. Towels are not crusty (not one group has ever complained about this). The beach is very nice, and mostly you will have it all to yourself, not sure why she thinks it isn't pretty. And noises can come with the territory as we can't control who is working when but most likely whatever was happening was due to semana santa. For the most part the most noise you will hear is dogs barking and neighbors music.

Great beach weekend

Excellent private house for a weekend at the beach. The house is nice and perfectly situated on Playa Marsella. Everything worked perfectly, all appliances, wifi and a/c in the bedrooms. Staff for check in/check out and caretakers are very friendly and helpful.
