Beautiful cottage overlooking Lake Willoughby with lake access
Welcome to âThe Peregrineâ - our cozy 2-bedroom getaway overlooking beautiful Lake Willoughby. This is our little slice of the NEK of Vermont paradise, and weâre so excited to share it with you!
Wake up to mountain views, enjoy breakfast on the deck overlooking the lake, and spend your days exploring the lake, hiking nearby trails, or just relaxing with a book. In the evenings, watch the sunset paint the sky and then settle in for a peaceful night under the stars.
A bright, open living space with cathedral ceilings and big windows and sliding doors for soaking in the views. Two comfortable bedrooms - one with a queen bed, the other with 2 twin beds - and a full bathroom. The master bedroom has a jacuzzi tub thatâs perfect after a day of hiking or skiing. Our cottage is located at the top of the property, offering views and privacy, overlooking a grassy yard and gravel drive which leads down past 3 other cottages to the main road. Shared lake access is just across the street and the North Beach of Lake Willoughby is just around the corner. Central air in the summer and forced hot air in the winter keep the home comfortable year round. A propane stove provides ambiance and additional warmth. Sliding doors in both the living room and master bedroom allow for a refreshing breeze throughout the home.
Whether you love to ski, ice fish, snowmobile, or just snuggle up indoors, our cottage is a wonderful place for a winter getaway and is a perfect launch point for outdoor activities! The VAST snowmobile trail is accessible from the property, and the cottage's position at the top of the hill provides a great place for sledding!
There is so much to do during the summer months with the lake across the road for swimming, boating, fishing, and relaxing, plus there are plenty of options for nearby hiking and mountain biking.
Guests have full access to the full living space of the cottage as well as the property grounds. Lake access is across the street where you will find a beautiful grassy area with lounge chairs, a fire pit, a dock, and a ramp. Bring your kayaks and launch from here! There is also a basketball court and tetherball available.
Our cottage comfortably accommodates 4 guests, making it ideal for individuals, remote workers, couples, couples traveling together, or a small family with older children. We may be able to host up to 6 with prior approval, and with an additional per person, per night fee to cover extra utilities, laundry, supplies, etc. If you have more than 4 guests, please reach out to us to discuss the possibility of additional guests. Also, please be sure to enter an accurate guest count when requesting to book.
Vehicle parking is right next to the cottage, and if you have a boat/snowmobile trailer it can be parked at the bottom of the hill in the inn's parking lot. Please do not drive or park on the lawn. The septic system is located beneath the lawn, and driving on it can cause serious damage. Any damage resulting from driving or parking on the lawn will be the guestâs financial responsibility.
A note regarding winter bookings:
This property is located in Vermontâs Northeast Kingdom, where winter road conditions can change quickly. For guest safety, a 4WD or AWD vehicle is recommended during winter months. The driveway is professionally plowed as needed. Guests may occasionally need to clear a small area on the porch if snow falls during their stay. A shovel and ice melt are provided for your convenience.
We encourage guests to purchase travel insurance, which can help cover unexpected situations such as illness, weather disruptions, or travel delays.
Other things to note:
- This cottage is privately owned and operated.
- Quiet hours are 9pm-10am.
- Parties are not allowed.
- Pets are NOT allowed. Bringing a pet will result in a fee of $350 and an additional cleaning fee of $350.
- Smoking of any kind is NOT allowed inside or outside the cottage. Doing so will result in significant additional professional cleaning fees.
- There are 3 exterior security cameras present - one at the front door, one overlooking the front yard, and one overlooking the back/side yard. It's possible the Inn and other cottages may have security cameras as well.
- The tap water is safe to drink, though guests may prefer to bring bottled water.

HÎte : Kelly
Our family lives in NH, but we travel to northern Vermont often. We are happy to be able to share our little slice of Vermont heaven with others!
Voici pourquoi lâhĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement
Our family has a long-time connection to Lake Willoughby. It's such a beautiful, magical place with many great memories!
Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique
Our cottage sits up at the top of the property above several other cottages. It offers more privacy than many other homes on the lake and has fantastic views of the mountains and Lake Willoughby!
