Would love to be able to stay here again, but this listing has provided nothing but issues. Host provided us with a phone number to call if there was issue. Well, there was issues (mouse feces and live mouse in basement, old bandaid stuck to the carpet on the stairs, blood in bathroom, fecal matter on the toilet seat). I attempted to call the phone number provided and it was disconnected. Reached out via VRBO messenger, no response. VRBO stated they would reach out to the host to request a refund for me and no response. Still no refund.

Although the house itself is beautiful and met our needs, we were highly disappointed when we arrived to find the carpeted areas were disgustingly dirty & stained. This included 5/7 bedrooms and staircases…thank goodness the rest of the house was hardwood. For a luxury listing, this is not acceptable, and took away from our experience. The rest of the floors and space was clean, including towels and linens, with the exception of window coverings which were coated with dust. It was wonderful to have multiple bedrooms with ensuites for our large family attending a wedding nearby.The property was lovely, we wish we had more time to explore the trails. The pool was not open yet. The host was very slow to respond to messages before our stay, and has not yet responded to messages that began after our arrival. I messaged as soon as we arrived to express my dismay with the carpets and have not heard back with any sort of apology or excuse. I messaged at checkout that we had seen a mouse in the living room and found that a mouse had also gone through one of our backpacks, and again, no response. It has been almost a week since we checked out and we still haven’t heard back from the host. Checkin and checkout were super easy. No thank you’s for your stay or sorry for issues. Just automated instructions.We would consider staying again if the carpeted areas were remedied, and if the host reached out to discuss this and poor communication. The pluses did outweigh the minuses,

Amazing home! Host was super responsive throughout the process. when we had a small issue with the water, they promptly reached out to a plumber to have it resolved even though it was over a holiday weekend. Super spacious - fit my group of 13 easily. 10/10 stay! Definitely coming back!

The place was great for hosting a family gathering and small wedding rehearsal dinner. The pool was initially pretty dirty (we skimmed and picked rocks out of it), but a beautiful area to play. Loved the enclosed swingset area for the kids. Scored lower on cleanliness, but the main areas were clean - kitchen and bathrooms. I can't imagine keeping a place that big immaculate... Loved driving out in the country to it. We'd stay again if visiting the area.

The property is beautiful. The bedrooms are great for a large group. The open space and gathering spaces in the home were excellent. The pool is nice The pool desperately needs to be landscaped as it was completely overgrown with weeds even on the deck. When the pool is landscaped and carpets cleaned it will be an excellent gathering space.

We chose this beautiful home for a 5 day stay for a wedding in the area. 8 adults-5 children. The location was excellent. Lots of room. We loved the atmosphere. A few issues that we wished we never had to deal with. We did not receive proper instructions for the checkin-no key as was told to us via email. Back door was unlocked but we had to discover that in a panic… we did not have enough blankets to sleep with. Asked for more. Received only 3 thin blankets for 7 bedrooms. 2 beds each in 2 bedrooms for kids with insufficient covers.. only warm water to shower with. Carpets throughout the house are extremely filthy/stained. Besides this major turnoff.. -whoever cleaned the home did an excellent job. Bathrooms-kitchen etc all spic and span. With these few insufficiencies.. the house and surrounding area are gorgeous !! It would have been a class A stay..

The property is nice and large to accommodate many and is located in a beautiful farming, wooded setting. The host was responsive right before and during the stay. We had lots of clean towels. There were challenges though. The house was not so clean. The carpets were heavily stained but the host addressed this on day 1 by having them professionally cleaned. There was dirt and dried food on the walls and doors that I spent half a day wiping clean before my guests arrived for a planned gathering. There were scuffs all over the walls indicating that it has serviced many others before us. Lastly, we discovered a hornet's nest hidden in the kid's jungle gym outside after a child got stung. Aside from these issues, the house worked out well in bringing my family together for a fine gathering.
