Thanks so much for your review. Surprised to hear about mosquitoes as the grass and foliage in surrounding areas has been cut low and it's been hot and dry.

Can't please everyone: I'm sorry that Mrs. ODonnell did not get the holiday she anticipated. I pointed out that I had correctly listed a partial view of the ocean from the pool terrace and the queen size bedroom. It was quite an unpleasant experience of having encountered such miserable complaining guests who I have tried my best to placate. I have had five-star ratings from almost every guest that has visited Waterfall and on other sites I have had two super-host badges for being committed to giving my guests a great experience. Waterfall has been rated as "sparkling clean" by the last four guests. I have had a stream of complaints and untruths from the ODonnells. In a nutshell: Tobago govt owns the land and came to clean and maintain the grass and surrounding areas while Mrs. ODonnell was resident. All owners and residents were delighted as there were previous complaints from guests about the overgrowth. I lobbied relentlessly for the land to be cleaned and maintained and was delighted they came. Residents or owners were NOT given prior notice by the Govt to inform the guests or to block out those dates to spare our guests. Mrs. ODonnell complained about the vegetation being lost and the noise. There may have been noise for couple of days but working day is 8-4 pm on the island, and certainly no govt worker will work past 4 so this was a blatant fabrication. During the day the ODonnells were out and about most days at the beach as relayed to the Manager, so this was no big inconvenience for more than a few days. I never said to these guests to move at their expense. I advised them to contact Homeaway to intervene between us as they were complaining so much about everything. They replied they did not want to affect my rating yet left such an unfair review. I advised them not to be concerned about my review but as I wish them to have the holiday they anticipated so do contact Homeaway. I believed they found somewhere else closer to the tourist area and wanted to move there so complained incessantly so that they could move to that place without paying me. Also they tried to poach my housekeeper and manager to work at the new place as the villa was cleaned very well. Note - very little mention about the overwhelming positives about the villa: friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, comfort of accommodation, all amenities at the fingertips, sparkling cleanliness etc. Unpleasant, unreasonable and difficult guests and I hope never to see such people again.

Many thanks Renata for your lovely review! Hopefully the grass was not too much of an issue as the area immediately surrounding the villa is well maintained by my gardener Curtis. I myself have called up every department in THA (Tobago House of Assembly) who purchased the land recently to get the grasses away from the boundary of the property to be cut. We will keep on it!
