This upper-level Mission Beach vacation rental, part of a triplex, is also close to Belmont Park, Balboa Park, La Jolla Village and the San Diego Zoo, so get out there and experience the best of sunny, laid-back San Diego! ]The unit is part of a triplex and features a private deck, a shared garden patio with a gas grill, and on-site coin-operated washer and dryer. The open-concept studio includes a queen bed in the main living/sleeping area and a full private bathroom with shower. The unit also offers a TV with streaming capability, wireless internet, and a fully equipped kitchen. Coin-operated washer and dryer on site. There are some beach items available chairs, umbrella, cooler, boogieboards, and toys. It was fine

Pro's: slight ocean view, clean, has all the necessities, beach toys and umbrella available, great wifi. Con's: only the ceiling fan was in the apartment and it does get toasty starting around 10am, no AC means the windows stay open all the time and you get to hear everything in the neighborhood, don't stay here if you don't like parking several blocks away if you can find a spot at all, only flat sheets and comforter on the bed, no fitted sheet so you end up on the mattress protector and no other blanket options, several things about the property were not the same as the pictures represented (i.e. the bedding, lamps, extra fan), the shower curtain liner was dirty, and the shower head needs to be replaced. Not a great place if you want a quiet vacation and not super private since the windows have to stay open.

It is very close to the beach as described which is great. The building however is a four-plex so there are two units upstairs. While the balcony appears private it is not unless the other upstairs is vacant. If you are a light sleeper bring earplugs because any conversation or music in the other unit is completely heard even with the windows closed. Also if they are smoking in the other unit it finds its way in as well. You will want the windows open for cooler air in the evenings and again earplugs for us light sleepers. My wife had no trouble sleeping and enjoyed the sound of the waves.

good but i should stay on ground floor I'm to old for stairs. also not having a parking spot was worse than expected but I knew i was upstairs with no parking soall that's on me

Cleaning crew not particularly good. Top of refrigerator has not been cleaned in months. Kitchen minimally equipped.

Disgusting

Pros : location. Very close to the beach. Cons: absolutely filthy, Stains in the toilet, crusty used hard hand towel in the shower, hair all over the “clean towels”, bath tub didn’t drain and outlets didn’t work. Paper towels provided were dusty and dirty, looked disgusting on top of the fridge, no coffee left.

Sweet Sunset Studio.

Awesome location just steps from the beach. Enjoyed morning coffee on the deck while watching the ocean. Enjoyed the sunset later in the day. The bed was comfy and the towels were super soft. The kitchen had the neccessarie but would have appreciated some coffee. Had some issues with the cable and remote but assistance was pretty quick. It was an enjoyable stay and it was great going to sleep with the sound of the waves.

Hot and Smokey

The studio was as described small and decent. It was central to the boardwalk and all restaurants. The small fan in the room did not work. So I relied on the open windows to cool down. Unfortunately the group that was sharing the balcony train smoked and their smoke blew in my windows the entire time making the room unbearable. So I would shut the windows when they came out and opened them when they went back in. It was an uncomfortable hot and Smokey stay.

Wonderful studio with a view and big kitchen, bath. Big enough to enjoy, and direct access to the Beach. Great for simple romantic stay.

Likes: 1. Location, it’s super close to the water and Belmont park. 2. Room is small but cozy. Bed was comfy! Futon satisfied my kids. Full kitchen! Extra beach towels. 3. Breakfast on the porch is a must! Peaceful. Loved watching the ocean and people passing by. 4. Communication was great. Dislikes: 1. Parking was a pain. Street parking was impossible so parked in the overnight lot south of Belmont park. 2. A/C unit is broken. Once we opened windows and put the box fan in the window, it cooled down and was comfortable. Overall, great experience. I would definitely book again!

Location location location

Property location is steps away from the beach with a peekaboo of the ocean from the deck. Very prompt at taking care of some repairs while I was here. Good deal.

Great location

I stayed here with my 2 daughters. It was small but very cozy. The only issue we had was the other unit upstairs felt that they could take over the table outside because they were there before us. I didn’t realize it was shared but either way it was still worth every bit of it. The beach is steps away!
