Our home is located on historic Chuckanut Drive featuring a forested backyard with direct access to the Interurban Trail and stunning sunset views over the San Juan Islands. Enjoy relaxing in our hot tub, hitting the trails on foot or bike, or hanging out on our large deck overlooking Chuckanut Bay. You can choose to drive five minutes north (or bike the three miles on the trail) to Fairhaven to enjoy cafes, bars, bookstores and downtown Bellingham or south along Chuckanut Drive to Larabee State Park’s trails and water access, Taylor Shellfish on Samish Bay, or the quaint town of Edison. You can also make day trips to Seattle, Mount Baker, or Vancouver, BC (all under 1.5-hour drives). But, there’s no reason to stray far if you enjoy reading books by the fire, forest bathing on the bench in our woods, strolls along the Interurban, a hike to Teddy Bear Cove or up to Fragrance Lake, mountain or gravel biking the Chuckanut & Larrabee trails, or a soak in the hot tub. The home also has a full kitchen and dining area fully equipped for coffee, cocktails, and gourmet dinners. Bedrooms include a primary with a king bed and views of the Bay, a secondary with a queen bed and forest views, a third, smaller bedroom with a twin trundle bed (can accommodate a single or be pulled out to sleep two). The upstairs family room has a sleeper queen and television. The living room has seating for six; the dining room table seats eight while the kitchen island’s bar seats three.
