Ce chalet en bord de mer de style artisanal classique rénové des années 50 est prêt pour votre plaisir. Dans toute la maison, il y a des planchers de pin clair et des revêtements muraux originaux en pin et en langue peinte avec goût. La cuisine et les bains ont tous des armoires en érable avec des comptoirs en granit et en formica.

Dans la cuisine, vous trouverez tous les appareils nécessaires pour votre commodité, y compris une cuisinière / cuisinière électrique, un lave-vaisselle, un micro-ondes de 1000 watts et un réfrigérateur avec machine à glaçons. Chaque salle de bain a des armoires en érable avec des dessus en granit et des robinets frottés à l'huile. Chaque salle de bain a un combo baignoire / douche pour les besoins de baignade spécifiques des membres de la famille.

Avec 3 chambres et 2 salles de bain complètes, et un canapé-lit queen-size, il y a assez de place pour huit d'entre vous et votre famille ou vos amis pour profiter de ce bel endroit. Situé assez près pour se rendre à pied aux principales caractéristiques de Carolina Beach, mais loin du bruit, cette maison est parfaite pour ceux qui veulent un site actif, voir l'horaire ou la vie nocturne. La propriété comprend un terrain en front de mer avec terrain de badminton / volleyball de plage, regardez les enfants jouer sans se soucier de la circulation automobile ou publique. Asseyez-vous sur le grand pont et regardez la journée passer, voyez régulièrement des bateaux et des dauphins. L'après-midi, le banc incliné intégré vous permettra de vous prélasser au soleil sans manquer une minute. Une douche extérieure chaude et froide semi-privée vous permettra de vous rincer après une longue journée sur le sable.

Lorsque vous n'êtes pas en déplacement, détendez-vous à l'intérieur sur le canapé moelleux, la causeuse ou la chaise privée, regardez la télévision sur l'un des deux téléviseurs à écran plat ou asseyez-vous et détendez-vous tout en regardant les vagues se briser sur le rivage de l'intérieur. Everything was listed accurately, the house was very clean. Plenty of room for 5 adults, we were on the beach for most of the day’s, we did go over to Southport, it’s a cute town you have to take a ferry over. Chris our host was easy to work with and check in & out was very easy

Perfect Ocean Front Home

We could not have picked a better place to stay! Beach front, great deck space, volleyball court, firepit, and plenty of room. This home is perfected located and in walking distance to so many great things Carolina Beach has to offer. Owner did an amazing job with upgrades and decor! Highly recommend this place and look forward to staying here again.

Perfect Vacation

We absolutely loved our stay. Great location and had a private access to the beach. My only issue was the access was very narrow and needed cleaned up some. Other than that it was perfect. Would love to stay again..

Thanks so much for the review. Actually that path is not to be used. Technical cross over is one lot over at the public ramp. That’s why that path isn’t cleared more, it’s never been and been in existence since the 80’s as far back as I can find photos. I appreciate your booking though. Feel free to return any time!

Had a wonderful stay while visiting our son who lives in Wilmington. The house is clean and recently updated. The owner was easy to work with. The house is beach front and close to restaurants, grocery stores, anything you would need.

Great Location. Great Home.

A group of us stayed here for Labor Day weekend. We had such a great time! So close to the beach! Loved playing volleyball on the private court. Be sure to check out Pop's Ice Cream and Ocean Grill, which are super close!

To the road noise comment I would just like to add that the home isn’t surrounded by vacation rentals and is usually a quiet and private place to stay. No house on the island that’s oceanfront is immune from noise of some kind. At least it’s not 3 am party people creating the noise. Hope you’ll consider returning.

Second stay here - even better than the first!!

We just spent a fantastic long weekend in this house - our second time here and it keeps getting better. Having the beach as your backyard is simply unbeatable. Add in the great location, easy parking, ice cold AC and a really responsive owner - there's no better value and no better place to spend time at the beach. We can't wait to go back!!!

Family Getaway

This home was perfect for our family stay. The house was stocked with everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. My kids loved the volleyball court in the backyard and the outdoor shower was an added bonus we took advantage of! Short drive to many great restaurants. The Host was helpful and accommodating, even helping to find a lost airpod after checkout.

Adult Weekend Getaway

Excellent place to stay!!! Parked on Friday and never got back in the car. The house had everything we needed and plenty of options within walking distance. Loved sitting by the fire pit at night listening to music. We will definitely be back!!

Great Summer Vacation

Our family had a fantastic stay at "A Summers Rest"...the view was fantastic, loved having our own personal volleyball court, the beds were comfortable, and plenty of room for our family of 6. Also enjoyed the convenience of having "Fun Time" Ice cream across the street. Looking forward to coming back again another time!

Our family of 5 stayed here for a week in July. The house had plenty of room for us to relax. The location is very convenient to the public beach access. It’s also off the main road and close to everything. A great ice cream/snack shop just across the street. The backyard was great for the kids just to play in the sand while grownups relaxed. Wear shoes closer to the house though because there are some prickly things coming from nearby plants . Everything worked great, A/C, water, appliances, internet. Small issue out of the freezer, but didn’t affect our stay and was brought up to the owner, who is very responsive. Overall, great place to stay for a relaxing vacation at the beach.

This place was absolutely AMAZING... it was a yearly girls trip that we take every year at Carolina Beach ..we have stayed in many houses at carolina but this has to be one of my all time FAVORITES.. Beautiful little house with so much to do .. the fire pit was one of our favorite things ..great location with a gorgeous view of the beach . The owner was amazing quick to respond to any questions we had about anything.. cant wait to book this house again very soon.

The Owner has been in the business of building (as a licensed General Contractor) and maintaining rental property in the Wilmington area since the early 90's. Is a proud owner of this great beach bungalow in Carolina Beach (A Summer's Rest ). This is home was originally rebuilt in the summer of 2013 (updated in 2019) AND NOW REJUVINATED IN 2024, and is ready for your occupancy. He is a local resident who enjoys using his beach home when not being leased. We know you'll enjoy this home, and would like to thank you for considering staying in the home.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

This home is truly in one of the best spots on the beach. Besides the private beachfront lot that sits in front of the home, the location and proximity to the downtown area (bars, shopping, food, entertainment), lake (paddle boats, free Sunday night movies under the stars), shopping and food (ice cream and snack bar across the street) make it ideal. With only a short walk to all, you can forget about needing the car to get basic needs met, as well, the kids will have a fun and safe place to play (private lot) without constant need for supervision. The dunes protect them from being seen from the beach and the home keeps them from being near the street.
Make sure to check out the Fort Fisher Aquarium (Kure Beach), movies around the lake for kids on Sunday nights (in season and a short walk from my place) and all the great local attractions without having to leave the island. We have Farmer's Markets on Saturday mornings (in season) and a multitude of music and food festivals, all on island.

Adults can have fun by visiting one of a number of our local bar and grills. My favorite is the Sea Witch, where local and regional bands play, you can eat, listen and dance all night.
The Fat Pelican is a cool Beer dive, with an entire walk in cooler of craft and other beers to choose from. Walk in, pic anything you like and pay by the piece. A great locals place in the off season.
The Lazy Pirate is the other great local bar/grill. Good food, night life and their own volleyball courts make it a cool place to see and be seen.
