This property was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay - the location was fantastic for exploring the southern Maine area with easy access to Portland, South Portland, Cape Elizabeth, Falmouth, Scarborough and other areas - there were some stores and restaurants within walking distance and it seemed like a decent neighborhood - also had a good sized backyard with some chairs for relaxing - would stay here again if we were in the area

Great getaway

My family had a great getaway to South Portland. The house was perfect for our family of 4. We enjoyed the coffee shop next door (Omi’s) and the short walk to the beach even in December. We would definitely come back again.

Family Trip to Portland

This was an ideal location and setup for our group! Five minutes to Portland Head Light, we loved going to Willard Beach, Scratch Bagels, and downtown Portland. The washer and dryer were really convenient and the window AC units kept it cool on 85 degree days.

Perfect little home for a quick getaway.

We were just here for a couple of days and this place was perfect. Walking distance to bakeries, beaches, and lighthouses. Don't miss Scratch Bakery, Willard Beach, Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse, the Portland Head Light, or the Lobster Shack at Two Lights (we Ubered there)! Mike was a great host.

Perfect for our weekend

This charming old house was perfect for our weekend in Maine. Close to restaurants, attractions, shops, very walkable! The beds were soooo comfortable and our daughters loved sharing a bedroom. Great for a little one just starting to sleep in her own bed. As another reviewer noted the bathroom is on the first floor and bedrooms are upstairs although this was t an issue for us.

Long Weekend in Cute Cottage

We loved our stay. The cottage is so comfortable. Loved the air conditioning in the bedroom and all of the space. My husband and I had a great visit with his mom in this beautiful cottage. Plenty of room to complete a puzzle on a rainy day. Walking distance to David’s, Scratch Bakery & the beach. Our host was also so nice and excellent at communicating.

Great place

Old house with charm. Bedrooms were all upstairs, but bathroom is down. There were 5 adults and plenty of room. We ate several meals outside in the large backyard, so relaxing. Perfect location for getting to Portland and Saint Elizabeths quickly! The stroll to the beach was about 15 minutes. We hope to come again! Mike and Marcia were great hosts!

Convenient location VRBO

Despite the hot weather we enjoyed every day of our stay. Didn't realize there was no central air so window AC was adequate for upstairs bedrooms. Unusally hot for Maine, not the fault of the host. Very hospitable and available for all our needs. Very easy to work with. Portland hot spots very short drive. Awesome bakery and coffee within walking distance.

Lovely, old Maine house

We had a lovely stay at Mike's house. It was very clean and spacious. A couple of things to note: - The bathroom is off of the dining room, which is on the first floor, while the bedrooms are on the second floor. If you're someone who uses the bathroom frequently in the middle of the night, you may not like this arrangement. - It is an old house, so the floors are not flat. We had a nice stay at this house and would stay again.

Great little gem!

We had a wonderful stay! The check in was easy, the location was great, the beds were super comfortable, and there was a great set up in the 2nd /3rd bedroom (they are connected) for our 3 kids (ages 3, 4, and 6). We had the 3 year old on the trundle which he loved and the middle child got her "own room" which was connected to the 2nd bedroom. The setup was great. Note: we are out of the baby stage but the master bedroom has a closet large enough to fit a pack n play if that would be helpful for anyone to know :) What a great visit! Make sure you get donuts from The Cookie Jar (apple cider was AMAZING) and an oatmeal cream pie from Rosemont Market! Also if your kids are like mine, they LOVED jumping from rock to rock all the way to the lighthouse at Spring Point Lighthouse. All of these are so close by, as is a cute little playground that we scootered to. Maine vacay was a huge success!

1 week summer vacation

We had a great time in South Portland (1st visit to Maine) and spent actually all day outdoor (beaches, ports, boat trip, hiking). Our hosts were very kind and always responded immediately. Thank you for the hospitality! There was just one thing we would have liked to know beforehand: The cottage is on the main road.

This house is located in a great location! In walking distance to the beach, coffee, ice cream and food! An easy drive into Portland too. The house provided plenty of space for our family of 5 and I’d recommend it to others.
