Great surprise

This little property is located on a corner lot of a pleasant little area set off from the beach but still an ocean view. Beach access is a straight shot from the house and the walk is not far. The pool is a wonderful added bonus!

I loved the location and home. The only thing I can say that was not great was lack of cleaning supplies toilet paper paper towels etc.. but other than that GREAT place ❤️

Our Place of Heaven is Great!

The place is beautiful! We loved having our own pool! There are tons of pool/beach toys, chairs, and floats (more than I’ve seen at any rental before). The pool is awesome! The TVs in each bedroom was a plus.

Great vacation with family

Great location and unexpected view!! The kitchen was equipped with everything you need, beyond other rental properties I’ve stayed in. Board games, pool toys, beach equipment was all provided. Great vacation home! The pool was a nice addition after the beach. A rented golf cart made it easy to get around. Definitely would stay here again!

Relaxing

My wife and I enjoyed our stay, as did her parents who came and joined us. Great location, short walk to the beach, and great view from the deck! Beds are not the most comfortable, but that’s about the only negative. Would certainly come back.

Close to beach access

We enjoyed staying at this house with a pool! Everything was just like the pics. We had to call Vacasa to get maintenance to come out and tighten up the bunk beds and they came out quickly. We enjoyed walking to the beach and the kayaking launch was close. Will stay again for sure! OKI is so pretty!

Great stay

House and location are great. The house needs a new dish washer as it is moldy and the grills outside were not able to be used due to being incredibly dirty. Overall a great place but could use better attention to detail in the cleaning department. Would go back.

Best week!

My family has always vacationed at Holden Beach, but there was no availability. We took a chance and hit the jackpot! The pool was amazing and the house was very cozy! We rented a golf cart and had easy access to all of the stores, restaurants and Dairy Queen. We even booked and extra night!

Beautiful location

The home is in a great location, loved the pool. House needs some basic maintenance. Several burned out light bulbs, dirt in shower and on walls. Overall was a nice vacation. We love Oak Island. This home just needs a little TLC.

Perfect Fall Beach House

Only 2 small blocks from the beach with easy access. Private with undeveloped lots to the back and one side. Great fenced in area with a pool (unheated) for your dog. Beds are a little small for larger adults. Modern appliances, very clean. Blackstone grill and outdoor refrigerator too. This was our second stay here and love it.

Overall a great home

We loved the pool, the layout and the updates within the home, the screened porch, the balconies, being able to see the ocean, and the inclusion of linens. There was mold above the patio door and on the bathroom ceiling that were eyesores and made the price of the house difficult to swallow. But we enjoyed it and had a great vacation!

Not the best stay

Many things at this property were not functional and there was no working internet during our stay which was a huge bummer. There is a Sliding glass door in bottom floor bedroom has no window coverings. There are no cooking sheets/ baking pans in this house, or spices (not even salt and pepper) so plan accordingly.

Great Spot and Layout!

The large balconies were a treat. The kitchen, grill and bathrooms were very clean. The crew who cares for the pool area and exterior lighting needs to pay more attention. A couple of beer bottles were left poolside and the pool maintenance did not show as a rep stated. The exterior lighting did not fully work. The drapes in the orange downstairs bedroom did not provide privacy. We loved that linens and washer and dryer were included. Checkout expectations were reasonable.

Misleading location

Pic of house is misleading that it's on the beach or even can be seen. Even in the description. You can only see a slice (slither) of water against the horizon. It's on the other side of beach drive rd. Then 3 rows back. Pool filtering was poor, dirty and stunk. Very disappointed especially for what we paid.

Spring break 2024

This is a cute home with an easy walk to the beach, and a quick drive to local shopping. The pool and deck area are nice for a small group. The 3 stars is because the home is in need of a deep clean. Our feet were dirty if we dared to walk around barefoot and the living room rug is ready for removal. We did not use the dishwasher because it had a very strong sour smell. There was sand in one bed when we pulled the covers back; I am guessing that's because housekeeping only changes the beds that were "not" used. The kitchen needs to be restocked - some utensils are rusting and there were no baking sheets. The provided towels are small; I suggest bringing your own. We had some trouble with the front door locking but Vacasa was very quick to respond and reset the system. They did a great job using text customer service!

Oak Island is amazing!

Oak Island was an awesome beach location and we really enjoyed the area. The house was good and served its purpose. A few things to note-there are only five coffee mugs in the home and one had a crack in it so it was unusable. The only baking sheet in the home is very small so if you plan on cooking anything that may require a baking sheet (lasagna, etc.) you may want to prepare ahead. The size and condition of the outdoor grill was a little disappointing as well. For a house that can sleep 12, I feel there should be enough mugs and a grill big enough to accommodate the number of guests. We didn’t realize the pool gate was not directly connected to the house which would have made it easier for letting the dogs out to use the bathroom. To access the pool, you have to go down the steps to the house, under the carport, and then access the gate for the pool. We weren’t able to get the tv to play ‘live shows’ the whole time we were there. Not a big deal, but after a long day on the beach sometimes you just want kick back and watch tv. Lastly, not a huge deal but the combination code to enter the home is 10 digits long and not something that is easy to remember. We had to keep pulling our phones out to get the code to enter the home. Overall, the home was nice and clean and we would recommend. I hope the homeowners/rental company will take our comments into account and make some adjustments where they are able.

We did love the house but I believe wrong info is listed. There is no queen bed in the house only doubles. The bed were not hooked to the headboard and on wheels so they moved very easy which can be tricky with littles. Also, the pots and pans were not that good. I went and bought a frying pan.
