Great Western is Truly Great!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I met up with a college friend for four days at Brighton and we loved Great Western. We were able to do it without a car thanks to Cottonwood Lodging's helpful recommendations for airport transfers and grocery delivery. The house is fantastic - the kitchen is so well stocked, the beds are comfy, the bathrooms are spacious and the hot tub and massage chair were perfect after a long day on the slopes. When we had a small maintenance need, Cottonwood was easy to communicate with by text and fixed the issue right away. I would recommend this company and this house to anyone!

The location was perfect for easy access to Brighton. The house is beautiful, roomy and comfortable. The loft is accessible via a small ladder. The town is tiny with very few establishments and closes early so bring everything you need with you before you enter the Canyon ( and everything is cashless!)

Kitchen has everything reasonable to expect. The massage chair is a high-end one that’s perfect after a long day or when you wake up a little tight. House was clean and well cared for. Somethings to note. The upstairs loft is not adult accessible which has 2 mattresses laying on the ground. Kids 5-15, perfect. The text message service they use is bad. They told me several times they didn’t receive a message I sent. They don’t always follow up like the say. Lastly, they did offer and snow removal for driveway or deck during our stay. Snowed everyday during our visit and driveway just piled up. Walking across driveway was challenging. Unloading and loading car from driveway was not fun. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

Phenomenal location & management company, but loft isn't useable

Reviewer Comments: Cannot beat the location and the management company is incredibly responsive and makes sure you have everything you need without being overly intrusive. The house was clean and well maintained. The kitchen is well stocked and perfect for cooking for groups, and the views and hottub are top notch, along with the added bonus of a massage chair that was very popular after ski days! There were only two drawbacks that keep it from being a five star - first, and most importantly is the loft. It really is only useable for teenagers. The way up is a true, vertical ladder (but with narrower bars than an average ladder). If you need to use the bathroom at night or have a sip of alcohol, I wouldn't go up there and even without that it literally hurts your feet to climb up with the bars. Less importantly, but a minor nit. We got all our groceries and drove out and put some brauts on the grill. They have a really nice trager wood pellet grill...but it ran out of pellets and there were no spares in the house! The management company was responsive and had more dropped off the next day, but we had to finish the brauts on the stove which was a little bit of a bummer. Overall a great option that we would do again, but some drawbacks that made it a 4 star overall.

Family ski vacation

Our family of five had a wonderful four night stay at Brighton. The loft area was perfect for our 9 and 13 year old (ladder access). The massage chair was a favorite. The proximity to the Great Western lift was easy, even for the kids. The property manager team was very communicative every step along the way. We had a great time.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is place is incredibly convenient when skiing Brighton. We were able to go through some trees and end up right at the house. When skiing Solitude, the bus is a VERY short walk to the pickup spot. The hot tub was broken for the first 2 days of our stay, but the owner quickly replaced the hot tub with a different one so we’re still able to enjoy a couple days of it. The massage chair in the living room is top notch and was incredible after skiing all day. Highly recommend this place!

Wonderful cabin close to lifts

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was spotless and the management is very responsive. We didn’t use the hot tub since it snowed so much while we were there and would have taken a lot of shoveling before we could get to it. The two beds up in the loft area are actually just mattresses. It worked for our 20 something year old kids. An outlet would be nice up there for charging a phone or tablet. Everyone loved the massage chair!

The availability of free parking for two is a nice perk and the 3 person hot tub was a nice plus after a day of skiing. The place was clean, well stocked and comfortable. There were only two downsides during our stay...you can smell food being cooked from the adjacent apartment at night and street noise can be loud for the front bedroom. A small white noise machine that we brought with us was helpful! Overall we had a wonderful stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time at the Cottonwood Lodging home across the street from Great Western lift at Brighton. The managers were very quick to respond to questions and very helpful. Be aware that all walkable food sources are closed early on Sundays, but otherwise we had a great time and the location could not have been more convenient for our ski trip. Clean and cozy house. Since check in is 4pm and there is nowhere to park at Brighton or Solitude and nowhere really to go to wait, be aware of getting there too early. The management was kind enough to let us park at the house early so it wasn't a big problem but worth noting.

What we wanted

This was the perfect location for our family ski trip to Brighton. It was so close to the resort that we walked to and from everyday, we even went back for lunch! The place was the perfect size for our family of 5. The kids loved the hidden loft area to sleep in (2 mattresses on the floor with a hidden ladder to get there). The entryway was perfect to come in and dump all your gear. The couch was plenty big and the kitchen had everything you needed. If we go back to Brighton we will definitely stay here again.
