Every corner tells a story through colorful hand-painted tiles, vibrant artwork, musical artifacts, and an atmosphere that practically hums with positive energy. The front room features an amazing speaker and Bluetooth system, perfect for setting your own soundtrack to morning coffee or evening wind-down. This house is an original Sears Roebuck catalogue house!

Century-old jazz house in historic East Hill meets legendary Zen Garden sanctuary. 2BR/1BA eclectic home bursting with colorful art, music & soul. Kitchen opens to wooden porch & tropical paradise: hot tub, outdoor shower, covered grill, lush pathways. Walk to coffee shops/restaurants, short drive to beaches.
Pet paradise! the backyard is fenced, there is plenty of safe walking areas in the neighborhood. There are also pet parks close by
This house is not cookie-cutter perfect—it is joyfully authentic and filled with good vibes and character!

The Zen Garden occupies the middle of the property and includes a shared garden and hot tub available to guests of both listings. The Cottage has its own private back porch, outdoor seating, and grill.

Guests are asked to be respectful and considerate of one another.

Please make sure a shared garden environment is the right fit for you before booking!
Please ask if you want to rent the entire property with both houses

We know you love nature and are a free spirit! We hate to even have to ask, but.... we do ask all guests to keep their clothes on while you are out in the garden or enjoying the hot tub! We provide beach towels and 2 robes for you to borrow while you are here.

The house was darling - clean, vintage and eclectic. It was comfortable and had most everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking seafood from joe patti's and the beds were very comfortable. There were nice wide front and back porches and the backyard was an oasis. The location can't be beat in the middle of east hill just off 12th avenue with a charming cafe and large publix grocery within walking distance. The beach road and downtown are just a few minutes away.

We've always enjoyed visits to Pensacola, the area is slow paced, close to the beach, and easy to get around with walkable communities. This house sits in a beautiful community and has a park in walking distance with a great off leash dog park/swim. The interior is very kitschy and the kitchen is well appointed and usable. The miniature dishwasher takes some getting used to but does work fairly well. The garden does look like it was started well intended but has fallen into neglect. The beds and planters are being overrun with vines and weeds, It'd be well worth it to get a gardener in there once a quarter to keep things minded. Also the master bed is listed as being a king but it isn't, and the hot water in the bathroom is not consistent and I never managed to get hot water to come out for more than 3 minutes at a time. The reservation we made was through VRBO, which has shared space requirements for this, and the adjoining listing (Tommys Zen Garden Cottage) conveniently doesn't disclose on that website. So if you bring a dog to either, or expect to have the back yard to yourself, you will be disappointed.

My husband and I rented this VRBO in Pensacola for the month of June to spend time with my sister in hospice care and brother-in-law. The home was pet-friendly, which was one of the most important needs during our stay. The kitchen was well furnished with everything we needed and the two bedrooms were spacious. The living room, kitchen, and bedrooms were equipped with ceiling fans, in addition to central air and heating in the home. The hosts were the absolute best!!! We have stayed in numerous VRBO’s, and the hosts for this particular rental were the most welcoming, friendly, caring, respectful, and helpful that we have encountered. A big shoutout to Cathy and Shania…thank you both so very much for your kindness and support during this difficult time for me and my husband.
