We’re a family from a small town in South Georgia, and Cherry Lake has been a special part of our lives for many years. When our children were younger, we loved coming to the lake for the adventure—spending summer days on the water, enjoying watersports, exploring the lake, and making the kind of memories that seem to last forever.

As our children have grown, the way we enjoy Cherry Lake has changed, too. These days, we find ourselves appreciating the slower side of lake life just as much as the excitement. We love relaxing on the screened porch, watching the lake, enjoying a meal together, and gathering with family and friends. There’s something special about being together in a beautiful setting without feeling like you have to be anywhere else.

That’s what we hope to share with our guests.

Our property was designed around the idea that the best memories happen when people have space to be together. From the screened porch overlooking the 500-acre lake to the large dining room, sunroom, multi-level decks, and multi-level dock, there are countless places to gather, relax, laugh, eat, fish, or simply enjoy the view.

Cherry Lake is also a place where you can experience a little bit of everything. You might spend the morning fishing from the dock, spot a bald eagle soaring across the water, hear a hoot owl in the evening, or spend the afternoon jetting around the lake on a boat or jet ski.

After years of enjoying Cherry Lake with our own family, we’re excited to open our home to others. Whether you come for the watersports, the fishing, the wildlife, the peaceful views, or simply time together around the table, we hope you leave with the same feeling we have every time we’re here—that life is just a little better at the lake.
