Cette charmante ferme d'époque est un refuge familial et rural, l'endroit idéal pour se détendre et se détendre avec les trésors de Florence à votre porte. Situé sur une belle colline paisible à 18 km de Florence, la ferme traditionnelle a été méticuleusement restaurée par ses propriétaires, conservant ses arches en pierre originales, ses plafonds et ses sols en terre cuite. La maison principale bien meublée et équipée est cool, avec trois chambres doubles et une chambre double, ainsi que 3 salles de bains. Il y a un canapé-lit double dans la salle de télévision mezzanine.
Les tissus orientaux et les couleurs pastels définissent les vastes espaces de vie aérés, ouvrant sur les terrasses entourant la maison. La cour, la pergola, les terrasses et la loggia offrent des espaces de vie et de salle à manger extérieurs inégalés avec une vue imprenable. Entouré de jolis jardins et de terrains en terrasses (6 hectares), la maison dispose d'une belle piscine de 12 m. Très confortable et adapté aux enfants, l'aide quotidienne de base incluse et la cuisine peuvent être organisées selon les besoins.

We had a great time! The views are spectacular and the location is perfect for touring Tuscany towns with good access to Florence. Eleanor was helpful, answering our queries throughout the day and night. We will be back!

Amazing location, fantastic holiday

A huge thank you for a fantastic holiday! The beautiful house and setting were perfect while the excellent pool, air con, spacious rooms and amenities ensured we had a brilliant family holiday, despite a 40 degree heatwave. The villa’s proximity to Florence and so many other locations is obviously a pivotal feature, but it’s the villa, its grounds and the views down the hillside that are most remarkable. It’s an amazing location that I’m struggling to find superlatives for - it’s simply stunning. Thank you again - we had one of the best family holidays ever!

Beautiful Rural Villa

The hosts were easily contacted and provided us with helpful local travel information in advance of our stay. This was much appreciated. The villa is accurately depicted in the photographs. Full of character and charm. The facilities are excellent and the kitchen well equipped. The pool is large and grounds are attractive. The house access of the road is quite steep and you need to be careful entering the drive from the road. We would highly recommend the property as a base for exploring this area of Tuscany. If you are visiting Florence the rail station is a 5-10 minute drive with good parking options.

Beautiful relaxing property

My parents and partner and I were lucky enough to spend 9 nights here. The house is large and fitted out with good quality furnishing. This house is used and well lived in by the owners so it is not your regular holiday rental. After arriving we felt very much at home for 9 nights and it was hard to leave the place to explore Tuscany. The beautiful pool is set back from the property and we used it daily. The olive tree next to the pool has a day bed/tree house which was perfect for reading. Property is extremely private and peaceful we would highly recommend it to anyone. Florence was an easy drive away and close by a large shopping centre had everything we needed to stock up for our stay. We had a local Lady Monica come several times and she cooked for us and kept the house clean. It really was such a lovely holiday.

Blissful two weeks in the Florentine hills

We had a wonderful stay here for two weeks in August 2024. Eleanor and her family couldn't have been more helpful with logistics before, during and after our stay (including finding my son's retainers and sending them on to him at boarding school....!). The property and gardens are absolutely beautiful with lots of spots for sitting and relaxing. The location at the end of a steep and narrow driveway, along with the views from the swimming pool across the Arno, gave a real sense of seclusion, making for a proper escape from the realities of every day life. We had three meals cooked for us by a local lady, which were delicious, Tuscan, and almost too much food for two adults and four teenagers. Train into Florence and Pisa was super convenient (15 minute drive to station, ample parking), and we discovered the wonderful Edy Piu restaurant nearby and visited a couple of times. Large supermarket with everything you need 15 minutes away by car. It was 35-37C most days, and so the airconditioning in the bedrooms was very welcome. All-in-all exactly what we wanted and would gladly visit again.

Great potential but fell short of expectations

The property is beautiful, and has much to credit it. The facilities are perfect for a family holiday, set in amazing countryside and conveniently located for getting into Florence via the train. However, we were beset by issues with the water supply. The property relies on a well for its water, and for the majority of our stay we were either without all water, or missing hot water, at various stages each day, because of problems with the pump and/or the boiler. Obviously this made washing and cooking difficult – it wasn’t much fun to get back from a hot and sweaty day in Florence to find we couldn’t shower or use the toilets. Whilst the host did their best to resolve the issues, it was still a huge inconvenience. The mosquitoes made it impossible to eat outdoors, but I don’t think this is a problem specific to this property.

Fantastische Unterkunft

Wir haben uns im Haus von Eleanor sehr wohl gefühlt und haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus bietet sehr viel Platz und ist top ausgestattet und wird sehr gepflegt. Der Pool war ebenfalls ein Highlight, welchen wir zu unserer alleinigen Benutzung zur Verfügung hatten. Der Pool und die Umgebung sind auch in hervorragendem Zustand und werden laufend gereinigt (Kompliment an Fernando). Vom Haus ist man in rund 30 Minuten in Florenz, daher bietet es eine hervorragende Ausgangslage für Exkursionen in der näheren und ferneren Umgebung (beispielsweise aus Siena, San Gimignano, Lucca oder ans Meer. Vielen Dank an Eleanor für den sehr netten Empfang und die guten Tips u.a. für Restaurants in der Umgebung. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Außergewöhnlich

Traumhaft gelegenes, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Anwesen wie aus dem Bilderbuch. Sehr netter Kontakt zur äußerst hilfsbereiten Eigentümerin. Trotz Nähe zu Florenz eine Location in der Toskana fernab der Touristenströme.

Herrliches Haus, Grundstück und Pool

Ein wunderschöner Ort, um sich mit großer Familie zu erholen und schöne Ausflüge zu unternhmen, besonders nach Florenz. Besonders genossen haben wir den sehr großen Pool mit schöner Aussicht ins Arnotal und mit schöner Wiese drumherum und sonnigen und schattigen Plätzen (Baumhaus im Olivenbaum). Die Auffahrt zum Grundstück ist sehr steil und kurvig, aber für geübte Autofahrer gut zu machen. Insgesamt ein tolles Anwesen!!

Very beautiful location. Pool and the view are amazing. A lot of space and privacy around the house. We loved the wood oven to make our own pizza. The owner of the house was very friendly and willing to help with any question we had.

Outstanding Vacation House Near Florence

After two years my close family, consisting of seven members within three Generations, spent again one week in an elegant and spacious vacation home near Lastra a Signa, not far from Florence (Tuscany). This separately and quietly located and completely restored house (obviously a former farmhouse) on the top of a hill with a marvellous view to the Tuscan landscape is generously invested and is provided with four to five self-contained sections with separated bedrooms and bathrooms. At pleasure everybody has the possibility to occasionally withdraw himself. The house is well equipped with a great kitchen with nearly all accessoires, a combined dining room and living room as well as with an ample reading room. An ambitious library is available as well. The different rooms are individually and tastefully furnished in a characteristic way and appealing for adepts. An ancillary house next to the front entrance is perfectly suited to take all kinds of meals if weather allows. A barbecue area alongside the house with an adjacent pizza oven and several terraces for various purposes are also available. To maintain further contacts to the external world nearly all facilities are in place (e.g. internet connection for laptops, i-phones, or tablets etc.). The house is surrounded by a huge site with many olive trees and fig trees suitable for an extensive walk. Approximately 100 to 150 meters away from the house (downward) is a magnificent swimming pool with fresh and clean water surrounded by a lawn for sunbathing and several kinds of beach chairs. It is a real pleasure to use the swimming pool. Furthermore it is to emphasize the convenient location of the property concerning the accessibilty of famous cultural sites (Florence, Lucca, Siena, Arezzo etc.) by car or train. The train station is not very far from the house. Several Tuscan vineyards are also easily available. Altogether, it can be summarized, that the described lovely property is suitable for relaxing vacations combined with the experience of Tuscan culture and lifestyle.

Charming farmhouse in a stunning setting.

Our stay at this charming farmhouse exceeded our expectations in every way! The house is lovingly and artfully restored and updated, rustic and elegant at the same time. It's comfortable and well equipped with a great kitchen and wonderful books. The grounds are gorgeous; the photos simply cannot do them justice. The home is perched on a small mountain accessible on a windy, semi-private drive, surrounded by olive groves. The pool overlooks the valley with a stunning view. It's difficult to want to leave the property to do the many interesting nearby excursions! We went to all the restaurants recommended by the very gracious homeowner, and enjoyed them all. Our favorite was Da Delfina, which entered the rankings of my top 20... anywhere. Another highlight was our tour and lunch at Capezzana, which the homeowner facilitated. Beautiful wines and award winning olive oil , enjoyed in a Renaissance villa. Our lunch was delicious and cooked by the cooking school there. The home is really well located, with a short drive to nearby Signa or Lastra a Signa where one can access the train. Getting into the city center of Florence is a breeze and takes about 20 minutes with trains running frequently. We also drove to Lucca one day and wished we had had more time there because it is a completely charming walled city. The guys did a bike tour with Ibiketuscany and loved it, but it was quite challenging. The homeowner is very accommodating and helped us with suggestions and arrangements. I do recommend having the cook prepare a few meals. When we arrived late and jet lagged, there was a wonderful meal waiting that was very delicious. We had her cook for us another night as well, and it is quite a treat after a long day of touring! So, we cannot recommend the property more highly!

Privacy in the Heart of the Art World!

We spent 3 glorious weeks soaking up Tuscan sunshine, Florentine art and history, and Italian generosity--all in this wonderful farmhouse sitting at the very top of a hill. And we were just 20 minutes outside of Florence! Photos simply don't do it justice; the sounds of the train running through the valley, the neighboring farm dogs chatting with each other during the early evenings, the smells of something wonderful being prepared in the old kitchen. Four U.S. couples joined us--each for at least a few days, but no more than a week at a time each. The local train station is less than 10 minutes away and runs twice hourly right into the heart of historic Florence (SMN)--a 17 minute ride. From there, trains such as the 90 minute nonstop train to Rome, run regularly. Some of us took that train to Rome for a "day trip"; others spent a couple of days in Rome. And we ALL agreed it was wonderful to be returning to this villa because of the peace and quiet! The villa is rustic, but completely modernized, including WiFi. Baths are modern; the kitchen has a wonderful gas stove and oven AND a dishwasher. Washing machine? Absolutely. And it cannot be more ZEN than to hang laundry on the outdoor clothes line, taking advantage of sun and breezes every afternoon. I might miss that the most. The owner put us in touch with a lovely local cook/housekeeper who saw to it that our party (which varied in size week to week) ate homestyle Italian food at our own villa table twice weekly. The cost of this service was VERY reasonable and the food was first class. Wonderful to come home to after a day of touring downtown! Although we did not use the large swimming pool, it is beautifully located just a 30 second walk through the olive grove, on a knoll offering a spectacular view of old ruins and vineyards. Summer visitors will simply fall in love with the site of the pool and the beauty of the gardens overall. Several terraces surround the villa, and each presents it's own beautiful vistas. There is an outdoor fireplace too! Perfect for sipping chianti on a warm (or let's agree--even a cool..) evening! Fifteen minutes from the villa is a HUGE "warehouse like" grocery and homegoods store---open daily! Every possible type of food, local grown and internationally made too is available, as well as things we really NEED. I can't imagine a more perfect combination of privacy and convenience for a dream vacation to Tuscany!

A most charming house in a fantastic location

We had a fantastic stay in this very Tuscan yet personal house hidden in the most charming part of the region. To wake up every morning with the most spectacular view and drink the morning coffee while looking out on the hills and smelling the fragrance of all the flowers in the garden, have given us a remarkable memory. Even if we are a big family, everyone found their own space in the house and garden and the vincinity to Firenze and other pretty villages made it possible for everyone to find something to do during all four weeks of our stay. The owners engagement and service mindness made the stay even better than what we ever could have pictured. There is no question we will come back to this place in the future.
