SOCO fun!

Great location and space

Stayed here for a few days and it's a great location. Short walk to shops and restaurants on South Congress. Quick drive or uber to other areas in Austin. Would recommend for a trip to Austin.

Holiday Stay

Excellent Location

Except for a few annoyances with the bathroom condition, this was clean, modern & comfortable property. The highlight is the close walk to South Congress with its stores & restaurants.

Great location

My wife and stayed 4 nights. The cottage was as advertised, clean, and in a great location. Lots of restaurants, shopping and live music within walking distance. The host was great and very responsive to our requests. We had a great time.

Location location!

We stayed here for ACL weekend and it was a prime location close to everything cute on SoCo! The unit itself is not fancy or updated but it had what we needed.

Great location, easy communications with the property manager

Great location, nice welcome gifts upon arrival. Small issue with the door lock, however we worked it out, and the property manager called/texted to make sure we were settled.

Hi Heather, Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. To add some clarification to the lock 'issue' so readers of this review understand the situation............ When our inspector was there getting the home ready for check-in, they noticed that the lock was beginning to show signs of failure. Rather than run the risk of having the lock fail with guests in the home, we replaced the lock (upgraded) with a new style, which allows guests to lock/unlock the property with their smart phone, rather than have to remember a code. We communicated this information to the guest on the day of arrival (8 hours prior to arrival time), however this was seen as an inconvenience. Because the guest was feeling inconvenienced by this, we went back to the property and ALSO installed a keypad so there was absolutely no change to how the guest would access the property. Upon arrival, the guest was able to enter the property using the code that was communicated to her prior to arrival AND have the option of using her smart phone to lock/unlock the door. Austin Visit Valentine's weekend

We came for a long weekend to cheer our son who is running in the Austin Marathon. Location on Elizabeth St, just off Congress was ideal for the race and a short walk to downtown and river trails. The unit was very nice - clean, bright, and comfortable. The welcome basket was a very nice touch. Would definitely rent again!

The perfect location

We highly recommend this rental. It was the perfect central location to walk to incredible food, music, fun shops, great ice cream, bars, etc. It was also close enough to walk down to Lady Bird Lake, see some bats, and over the bridge to some great restaurants and bars downtown or a nice stroll around the capitol grounds. It was also such a central location that we never waited more than 5 minutes for and Uber. It was comfortable, clean, open and we enjoyed the porch every morning. It was perfect for our trip to Austin!

Best for the Film Festival

We were there for the Austin Film Festival. The location of this VRBO is perfect - about a block from the main street leading up to Austin's downtown. Immediately around the VRBO, there is food and fun everywhere - and some amazing shopping at small shops. Brief Uber to downtown Austin just across the river. Manager was easy to reach, extremely willing and responsive to any and all concerns (tho there were almost none on our part). We would stay here again.

Close to it all. It’s a small city as it is. We walked or scooted all over. Multiple great options to eat within 3 blocks. Bridge with bats is walking distance. Barton Springs is 15 minutes on a scooter.

Perfect Location and cute house

My teen daughter and I enjoyed staying in a very lovely neighborhood just back off South Congress in complete peace and quiet. There was everything you needed in the kitchen, extra sheets and a great bed in one room and a pretty good but springy bed in the other. Convenient smart TVs and a great patio with deck for my yoga mat in the morning. Parking was a bit too tight for two SUVs under the covered roof so the other apartment car ended up parking by the garbage pails which is OK. Love this place!

Weekend getaway

Came to Austin for a UT football weekend with my husband and a friend. This cottage was perfect. Comfortable, clean and in an amazing location. One block off of South Congress shopping and restaurants. You also get a covered parking spot in front of the house in a neighborhood where it’s so hard to find parking. Five minute drive from the lake and downtown; 10 minute drive to campus. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for the lovely accommodations and welcome snacks. A very nice touch!

Great place in great location!

This cottage has been perfect for us. It has everything we need so that we can choose to either cook for ourselves or walk to SoCo for shopping or dining. I wish it was cooler so we could enjoy the outdoor patio, but honestly this place is so great we will definitely return for a visit in the future when it’s cooler so we can. Would definitely recommend.
