Welcome to the beautiful balanced bungalow! Blending the perfect balance of warmth & charm with modern amenities. Located in New Bern, this lovely house offers a comfortable stay for guests. It features two bedrooms, including one queen bed and two twin beds, plus a cozy living room with a sofa bed. Spacious bedrooms with gleaming hardwood floors throughout. Natural light lights fills all the rooms. The single bathroom is perfect for freshening up after a day of exploring. Enjoy sipping a beverage in the front porch, cuddle up in the comfortable living room, prepare a meal in the fully equipped kitchen (with coffee and snacks), or enjoy a cup of coffee in the back screened porch. New Bern rental 2025

What a charming little bungalow. Lots of character. Updated just enough in order to maintain the homes true character. Super close to downtown area and any other amenities needed. I was visiting family in Havelock so the location worked very well.Maura was an awesome host readily available for any questions regarding my stay.

Cutest bungalow!!

We came to town for a local university graduation. The house is adorable!! Perfect for adults who don’t like to stay in hotels. It’s perfectly stocked and the hostess had water and snacks left in the kitchen which was great because we got in late and we were hungry. The outdoor space had a great set up for sitting outside in the evenings and relaxing. I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone!!

Cozy and comfortable as always

We stay here often as we have family in the area. It’s such a sweet cottage. My elderly mother-in-law has taken to calling it “our little yellow house”. It does feel like our home away from home. The owner is fantastic to work with. We’ll remain loyal renters for as long as we have family here.

Wonderful house!!

We had a wonderful weekend in New Bern! The house was perfect! It had everything you could possibly need for a weekend trip! We were so impressed by all the little details. The old charm of the house was adorable! It was in a perfect location for spending ample time downtown. It was a super short drive or uber ride to the local shops and bars. Everyone we met was so friendly. We would definitely rent again!!

Home away from home

This was our 4th stay at this property. We have family in the area and the cottage - or the “little yellow house” as my mother-in-law calls it ;-) - is just minutes away from where they live. It’s so comfortable and convenient to everything. The owner is very easy to work with and does a great job of responding quickly to any questions we have. We travel to New Bern about every 3 months now. It is truly our home away from home!

Great Stay

Home away from home

We were in town for a retirement. This cozy house was truly home away from home. Cozy and inviting. She was stocked with more than you could imagine to make the stay easy. The location was great, easy to access. We were able to head out the the beaches a few days and it was super great to be able to come back and hose everything off before our return home. Highly recommend and would stay again

Charming bungalow!

We stayed here for two nights to drop off our kids at camp, a big trip with lots of logistics coming from NYC, and this sweet house was such a welcome respite, the perfect place to stretch out. We loved the swing on the front porch (lovely reading spot), and the screened in porch our back was just the right size for yoga with my kids. Amazing attention to detail — candy jars, coffee and creamer, snacks, and lovely toiletries. A great family alternative to the motels and B and Bs in town, it’s a 5 min drive from the shops and restaurants we love in New Bern.

Amazing Quaint Clean Cottage

Amazing two bedroom cottage on plenty of land, super clean and up to date. Beds were very comfortable and you can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in this house. Very up to date, tons of amenities and extras. Highly recommend this house!!

Perfect Little Bungalow!

We enjoyed our stay in New Bern! This house is very clean and well stocked with anything you would need. Beds are very comfortable. Close to town, but not in town. Convenient to all areas. Loved both the front and back porches! Especially the porch swing. Just what we needed. We will be back! Thank you Maura and Peter.

I was looking for my forever/retirement home as I had just become an empty nester. I was looking to downsize and move away from all of the traffic congestion and raising cost of living in a big city. I lived in Atlanta for 20 years while raising my kids and as they went on their adult paths I was ready for my next chapter. Three years ago after a visit from my daughter for a job interview in New Bern where she told me of how great was this town. I decided to come and see it for myself. I visited New Bern one weekend and within a month I purchased a home in this lovely town. It t was exactly what I was looking for: a small quaint town with a lot of history, no traffic, very affordable, no big retail chains and a perfect place for people looking to retire. I have been interested in owning a VRBO property for a while and a great investment opportunity was presented to me by my real estate agent. I jumped on it and I am sharing this beautiful bungalow with all you! In my free time I am usually checking out the local musicians, catching the seasonal free concert series in Union Park, trying out new restaurants and visiting my old favorites, watching a play/musical in the historic New Bern Civic Theatre, and visiting our beautiful Crystal Coast beaches in the Outer Banks and enjoying the rich history of our quaint and vibrant downtown.

A variety of board games, listening music options, and DVD/bluray movies.
