The Space:

There's no end to the activities at your fingertips at this beautiful, waterfront townhome on the shores of Spring Lake in Rockaway Beach. Just outside your back door, you can sip your morning coffee with a view of the lake or go kayaking or fishing from the dock (with two kayaks and life jackets all provided for your use). In the other direction, you can walk a quick two blocks (about 100 steps or a three-minute stroll) to boogie board, build sandcastles, or catch a spectacular sunset on the open sands of Rockaway Beach.



This townhome enjoys a best-of-all-worlds location on the south side of Rockaway Beach, on the northern shore of Spring Lake, and in a setting overlooking the lake and the mountains that's ideal for birdwatching. When you head out to the beach, you'll even have Tommy Bahama beach chairs, sandcastle equipment, a skim board, and two boogie boards to take with you.



Inside, this two-level home is both cozy and open, offering views of the water through generous windows. There's a fully appointed kitchen with full-size stainless steel appliances, an adjacent dining room table, and a light-filled living room with a new 55-inch Smart TV and an electric fireplace to warm you. Enjoy a washer/dryer to refresh your swimsuits and beach towels at the end of the day, and sources of at-home entertainment that include board games, a selection of DVDs, free WiFi, and two additional new Smart TVs in the primary bedroom and the loft.



Things to Know

Two kayaks and lifejackets are provided.

This home allows four adults maximum and two children for a total of six guests.

Two adult bikes and two children's bikes with helmets are available for guest use.

Tommy Bahama beach chairs, sandcastle equipment, a skimboard, and two boogie boards are provided for the beach.

The gazebo in the common area is not for guest use at this time

The lake is gorgeous! So much wildlife and natural beauty. Beach is just across the street. Master bed is new memory foam, very comfortable. Good linens. Kitchen fully stocked with utensils, pans etc; could have a few more food staples. No cooking oil or spray, no coffee. Very clean, only exception is ceiling fan in living room has cobwebs. Very nice overall! Check in process not great - they sent a verification email the night before, which I saw the morning of trip and complied at 9am. We still hadnt received door code at 4:30 pm, after check-in time. I messaged host and they responded within 10 minutes. The lock box is very stiff and was hard to manage in the cold.

Great 4th of July

We spent the 4th of July weekend with our family of 4 and our sister and brother in law and their small children, the house was amazing, the perfect size. We loved the lake access and used the kayaks and bikes. The lake is so enjoyable just sitting and relaxing. Easy beach access and the chairs supplied with the house came in handy. Overall we loved the house and can’t wait to stay again.

Everything we needed for a great beach weekend. Loved peacefulness on lake and easy access to get to beach, pizza in Garibaldi and shops. Clean and well appointed home!

Lucky Find

We were lucky to find this rental available for two nights mid-week on a much longer road trip with our two teens. All agreed we would have loved to stay longer! We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and quick walk to the beach, as well as proximity to many additional coastal gems. The house was perfect for our family of 4, giving everyone a little space to call their own but also gathering space as well.

Best of both worlds!

We had a delightful time at the house because of its amazing location of lake front livening with sweeping views and the ocean visas only blocks away. It was perfect for active teens to get out on their own and kayak, swim and beach lounge. It was an interesting scenic drive to Cannon beach for unique restaurants and shops but close enough to local shops to not need to go so far all the time. I was laid up from a leg break, so it worked perfectly for me in its cozy size and living room vistas as well as for my teens to get out and explore! We longed to stay there for more time next time!

Best of both worlds -- lake and ocean time

The property was truly beautiful and we enjoyed our time there. The provided kayaks were a real highlight of our stay. Both bedrooms had beautiful views of the lake. Two notes for the property manager: - Something was wrong with the grill. The temperature did not get above ~350, which made cooking our food take a very long time - The area rugs seem due for a replacement as they were pretty worn and dirty

Perfect location for family visit

We rented this property for my daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandsons (7 and 11 yrs) so they'd be close - we live in property just across the street on the ocean side. Overall, the stay was positive. Just a few notes to be helpful - the garage is directly across the street from the property entrance. Was nice to have access to it. The garage door opener is screwed onto the front door frame. inside of course. A couple of TV remotes needed batteries - which does happen. We replaced them. There were several dead pill bugs (aka: rollie pollies) around the floor/room edges (they are completely harmless - but if you're 'buggy' just fyi). Easily swept up. We did have a few issues with the water heater - they did come right out the next day. The guy looked at the setting on the water (very difficult to get to behind the washer/dryer) & declared 'nothing wrong.' No testing was done i.e: running water, etc. or electrical checking of both the top and bottom burners of the heater - possible that one burner is out. No one reached out to us after that - even tho was suggested they would. The kids just staggered showers after that. This was just to be sure everyone got a comfortably warm shower - not a huge deal to organize, but a little frustrating when you're vacationing to think about. The bedding appeared to clean and fresh. Beds comfortable. The boys were thrilled with 'their area' upstairs. The check out procedure was easy and quick - which I really appreciated. The family really enjoyed the view of Spring Lake in the morning with breakfast - it was just beautiful and peaceful (and those words were from my 7 year old!) They noted that the condo is very quiet - road noise not an issue. A note on check in/check out -check out time is extremely early at 10am. Most places we've stayed use 11 am. We did receive a msg the day we were checking in that an 'early check in' was available without charge about noon. We were not able to take advantage of that as it arrived after we had left to pick the kids up at the airport. I would have prestocked fridge if we had been able to. Normal check in is after 4 pm - so that 10 am check out just feels too early. Just our opinion. Because this property is so convenient to our home, we would definitely consider purchasing another stay here and with our previous stay experience, I would expect it to be a smooth and comfortable stay.
