A soaring vaulted wood ceiling frames the great room, with a wall of windows that flood the space with natural light and showcase sweeping ocean views. Step outside to the deck to enjoy sea breezes, stargazing, or a barbecue dinner. The custom kitchen and ocean-view dining area make meal prep and shared meals a pleasure. After a day of beachcombing or exploring, unwind in your private hot tub on the fenced deck. A brand-new rec room features a projector screen and a bouldering wall, perfect for kids, teens, or anyone looking to have some fun. With five bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and flexible sleeping configurations, the home offers both comfort and personal space for everyone. The Salty Salmon is also pet friendly, so your pup can join the adventure too.



On the main level, the great room connects seamlessly with the dining area and kitchen. The first bedroom features a queen bed, queen sofa sleeper, TV, deck access, and a full bathroom with shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and is located near another full bathroom. Downstairs, the third bedroom includes a queen bed, queen sofa sleeper, and TV. The fourth bedroom offers double-double/twin-on-top bunks, while the fifth has a twin bunk. Another full bathroom and a laundry area with washer and dryer complete the lower level. Altogether, the home comfortably accommodates up to 16 guests.

This home has a great location one block from the soft sands of Rockaway Beach, with abundant views of the sea right from the deck. The nearby town of Rockaway Beach offers guests adventures like boating at Lake Lytle or fishing for Dungeness crab, as well as the selection of shops and restaurants within walking distance of the home. Manzanita and Cannon Beach have more shops and restaurants to explore, all within a half-hour of home.

Birthday, Graduation Celebration

Do not recommend this for anyone that has issues with steps. Access to beach to difficult for seniors to climb. Issues with doors and windows. Also deck had exposed screws and weak boards.

An absolute mess

We arrived to a horrible odor upstairs. We tried just airing it out, but the stench was too powerful. We tried to get cleaners sent out, management was horribly unresponsive, but they eventually showed up and weren't able to do anything about the smell. We were then promised a steep discount/refund from an "AGM" who never called us back and is now seemingly completely ghosting all our efforts to contact them. Beyond the smell issue the photos on the listing must be at least 10-15 years old. The house is pretty dilapidated, which isn't necessarily a huge problem, just don't go in expecting the pristine conditions from the photograph. Also the mattresses were some of the least comfortable i've ever slept in. Real hospital grade stuff.

While trying to pack up and leave, we had 2 cars (1 parked on each side of us) watching the whole time. It was very uncomfortable and made us feel rushed. Check out time was 11 and they were there parked and watching since 10am. As we drove away, we saw people from both cars get out and start to walk towards the house.

Fun time!

We had a blast with our large group. Lots of towels, which was awesome! Could’ve used more toilet paper. There weren’t clear check out instructions in the book, so we are hoping we did everything expected! Had to call the management company for the hot tub code. Awesome beach access and we had everything we needed!! Would stay there again!

Christmas at the Coast

The house was perfect! We had just enough space for everyone. There was plenty of area for parking, we loved the view of the ocean. This is our 2nd year at the coast during Christmas & it was everything we wanted. The only thing of concern was the coffee pot has a crack in it but, didn’t leak?!

Cozy and convenient

Public beach access is right across the street and the walk into town is only about 5 minutes. The multiple bedrooms and 3 bathrooms make it comfortable for large groups or multiple families. Easy to travel to nearby towns of Manzanita or Tillamook. The upper deck is nice for beach gazing while the lower deck has the hot tub and a larger seating area.

Rockaway Fun

Overall, a good property with a good location and plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms. Kitchen reasonably equipped. The house was clean and the hot tub was a big hit with the children. The only negative was the living space was a little tight for a 5 bedroom house. One would expect a bigger living space for a 5 bedroom house.

Nice Getaway at Rockaway Beach

Nice beach house seconds from the beach. Lots of room for guests, well stocked kitchen, and great deck for grilling and reading a book. We spent lots of time in the hot tub, which was very relaxing. Great house for family gatherings.

Just ok.

The house is a lot smaller than what the listing makes it seem. The rooms are not very large either, the listing says 5 rooms but it’s really more like 4.5 due to one of the “rooms” not having a door. The grill was too rusted so we were unable to use it. The biggest issue that we had with the house was the cleanliness of it. We brought our own disinfectant wipes (glad we did) and had to clean the restrooms and bedroom surfaces before we were able to use. The linens on the beds and the bundles that were there to use were also stained and stuck together in some areas (very gross). The good parts were the hot tub, the kitchen was a good size and it has a working washer and dryer. Overall, I wouldn’t come back to this property. Very disappointed with the overall experience.

No wifi, no outside access to hot tub, manager doesn't care

Great location, you can see the beach and hear the beach, wonderful town with lots to do. Wifi is non-existent, so don't expect to do anything "work related" or get on the internet. Also, we had a big issue with the hot tub because it was locked inside a fenced in area and none of the keys worked, but the VRBO/Vacasa people continued to tell us to "use the code", or "use the key" which none of those worked. I called numerous times and was told they would find out/ call someone/ call the owners, but we never were able to access the hot tub from the outside. So, if you have separate families staying in each room, the hot tub off of one room and that is the only access. Even when the hot tub needed maintenance, the maintenance man had no way of getting to the hot tub except through the house/room where a baby was sleeping. With COVID happening, you would think this would have been a higher priority. The rental management has yet to offer any compensation, except for, "I'm sorry."

Thanksgiving 2019

We had an amazing time! This property was perfect for our extended family. It has plenty of beds and the house has everything a family could need. You can tell the owners have taken notice of what will make people feel welcome and comfortable. We have stayed at MANY Vrbo homes and none of them have had the amount of towels and sheets available that this one has! Also, the kitchen had everything we needed! I’m writing this I’m the car on the way home because I couldn’t wait to let others know of this property. It’s steps to the beach and has ocean views from the kitchen and living areas. Thanks for a memorable Thanksgiving!

Was very nice and would stay here again.

Was a nice house and very well kept. The cleaning crew did a good job of pikcing up the trash that the previous renters left on the ground of the driveway. Overall was a very nice stay.

Great house! Easy beach access!

This place was perfect! We took a large group of people and it was well accommodating. It was very clean and well kept. The hot tub can fit 7 easily and is clean and relaxing. The grill seemed fairly new and was fully stocked with propane. The kitchen was clean and had all the dishes and utensils we needed. There were extra pillows and bedding, and there was a surplus of shower towels and beach towels for us to use. There is really easy access to the beach less than a minute away. Plenty of space on the beach for fires, volleyball nets, and other games. It was a pretty quiet neighborhood and beach. During the busiest time while we were there the beach was still pretty empty. We had a really good time and it was overall a great place!

Nice spacious property near the beach

A group of us enjoyed a long weekend. Unlike some rental properties, this home came fully stocked with plates, utensils, glassware, pans - you name it’s. Looking forward to returning in the summer!

Fits the bill for beach vacation but house needs help

This house is about the same price as similar properties but is in significantly worse condition. All the other reviewers are right about the list of minor issues with the house. For example, the back bunk room is unusable with a mildewy atmosphere and terrible beds, the hot tub is broken, and the kitchen layout is inconvenient for the size of the group who will rent the house. In general the house is not being maintained but mostly serves its purpose. Note the chipping paint on an otherwise fully operational deck in the first image and extrapolate that vibe to the rest of the house. The ad for the property is correct that it fits 16 people but not quite in the configuration you'd expect. The master bedroom accommodates four: two in the bed and two in the hide-a-bed. The second bedroom upstairs takes two in the bed. The bedroom downstairs takes two in the bed and two in the hide-a-bed. The main bunk room does not have a door and is relatively open to the lower floor but has two bunk beds that each can take two below and one above. The back bunk room should not be used, considering the mattresses and the poor air quality (mildew/mold). Most likely you are looking at this property because you got a late start looking for a place and all the other places are already booked. Go ahead with booking this place and having a great time. You are there for the beach and the company of friends and family anyway. The house is right across the quiet street from the beach, fits lots of family members, and has some views of the ocean. And then resolve to get an earlier start next year to get a better value for your money and be in a place you know will be in full working order.

great view, but out of updates house

it was a nice house but a lot of things that were promised to be there were not ( no suger, no coffee ). the TV did not worked in one of the rooms, on the other TV the remotes did not worked. They were some electrical appliances that did not worked. The view was great but I think the house/appliances needs some updates.

A great time was had by all!

Great location just steps to the beach with a great view from the living area upstairs. Plenty of room for a large group. The furnishings and decore are a bit dated but the pictures reflect that. The kitchen was well equipped and we liked the huge table for everyone to gather at. The deck was great and we got a lot of use out of the gas grill. The house was very clean with the exception of some dishes and a little bit of a musty smell downstairs. Being able to bring the dog is a must for us and we appreciate the minimal fee of $40. If we had a big group again we would rent this house.

Perfect location and very clean!

We had a total of 12 people. There were enough beds for all. Couple of the bunk beds had very thin or no mattresses tho but the kids were in there and we just used the extra comforters and blankets as padding. The location to the beach and town is perfect. Will definitely come back!
