Playa Avellanas is a peaceful coastal village surrounded by nature — part of its charm is also its adventure. While the main roads are improving, some local roads can be rough, especially during the rainy season. A 4x4 vehicle is strongly recommended for comfort and reliability when exploring beaches, restaurants, and nearby towns.
Driving in daylight hours is best, as rural roads have limited lighting and wildlife crossings at night. Most attractions, surf breaks, and dining spots are within a short drive, and secure parking is available at The Enclave.
Guests who prefer not to drive can also arrange private transfers or local transportation services. The Wave Vacation Rentals concierge team can assist with arranging private transportation, airport pickups, car rentals, transportation for tours or dining out.
