Living & Dining

Birdsong’s open-plan living area brings the kitchen, dining, and lounge together in one bright, welcoming space. Large doors open to the deck, creating easy indoor–outdoor flow for morning coffee, shared meals, or sunset drinks. A fireplace adds warmth on cooler evenings.

Kitchen

A fully equipped kitchen includes an oven, 5-zone hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, cafetiere, coffee machine, and all cookware, utensils, and basics needed for home cooking. Guests will find complimentary olive oil, salt and pepper, tea, coffee pods, and a welcome treat in the fridge.

Bedroom 1 – King Bed:
A peaceful room with a king bed, bedside tables, lamps, dresser, full mirror, ottoman, and clothes rack with hangers.

Bedroom 2 – King or Two Singles:
Flexible layout with either a king bed or two twins. Includes bedside tables, lamps, a dresser, full mirror, and a clothes rack with hangers.

Bedroom 3 – Double Bed:
Cosy and bright with a double bed, lamp, full mirror, clothes rack, hangers, and a suitcase rack.

All rooms have quality linens, spare duvet covers, and thoughtful touches to help you settle in.

Bathroom

A clean, modern bathroom with a power shower, toilet, basin, and complimentary body wash. Toilet paper is provided.

Outdoor Spaces

A spacious full deck surrounds the home, offering several areas to relax.

Outdoor lounge with a daybed and shade, perfect for reading or napping.

Outdoor dining area for alfresco meals and sunset drinks.

BBQ area with utensils ready to use.

Lush valley views and a feeling of privacy, even though the home is in a residential area.

The property features kiwi, tui, and other native birds, as well as fruit trees, guests are welcome to enjoy the bananas, figs, and lemons when in season.

Parking & Access

Ample parking is available, including covered carport parking.
A key safe allows easy self check-in at any time.
A toddler safety gate and shoe rack are also provided.

Location

Birdsong is a 15-minute stroll or 2-minute drive to Russell’s township, restaurants, shops, and the wharf.
Matauwhi Bay is just a 5-minute walk away, with access to the beach and nearby Russell Boat Club.
Guest access
Guests will have full access to the entire home, deck, outdoor lounge, and parking areas. Check-in is via a secure key safe, and the access code will be sent to you on the morning of your arrival. The property is private, and you won’t be sharing any spaces with others.
