Welcome to The Riders Roost â a truly unique, theme-based vacation rental built for those who live for the road, the ride, and the Black Hills beyond the handlebars.
This registered historic Sturgis property began its life in 1898 as a South Dakota homestead in Enning, before being carefully relocated nearly 50 miles to Sturgis in 1965. More than a century later, the Roost continues its story, blending authentic Black Hills history with modern comfort and motorsports-inspired design.
In November 2025, the home was thoughtfully updated to preserve its original character while enhancing livability. The interior features a Motorcycle, Automobile, and Outdoor Powersports theme, creating a space that feels purpose-built for riders, touring drivers, and outdoor recreation enthusiasts exploring the Black Hills.

Sturgis is a gateway to the Black Hills and is centrally located between Rapid City and Spearfish South Dakota. You can literally travel 45 minutes in any direction to any of the many Black Hills attractions including Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Spearfish Canyon, and if you add 20 miuntes you can head to Devils Tower National Monument or Badlands National Park.
