Our goal is always to provide guests with a comfortable and enjoyable experience, and we made every effort to communicate with you during your stay. In your initial message to us, you requested a full refund for the remaining nights of your stay, which we immediately responded to and were willing to accommodate. We reached out several times following that message and throughout your stay in an effort to discuss your concerns and find a resolution, but unfortunately, we never received a response back. After completing the full stay, you contacted VRBO again requesting a refund. Despite the fact that the entire reservation had been used, we still chose to provide a partial refund as a gesture of goodwill. We truly wish we had been given the opportunity to communicate with you during your stay. Our priority was making sure you were comfortable, whether that meant addressing your concerns at the home or helping you transition to other accommodations in the area. Our property is intentionally designed and accurately described as a small, cozy, luxury one-bedroom retreat in a peaceful wooded setting. Nowhere is it described as a treehouse overlooking a creek, as your initial complaint stated. The layout, including the staircase and the property's proximity to the river, is represented in our listing so guests can determine whether the space is the right fit for their needs. I personally visited the property immediately following your departure and did notice a small number of fruit flies, which can occasionally occur seasonally in a wooded environment. This was promptly addressed. We do appreciate constructive feedback and are always looking for ways to make an already well-appointed space even better. Had we received a response, we could have delivered fans before your head ever hit the pillow that night. They are there now. Based on your suggestions, we have identified an area in which we will be adding a small hanging rack for future guests, along with the many amenities already provided. We truly regret that the property was not the right fit for you and wish we had been given the opportunity to address your concerns during your stay. We remain proud of the cozy, upscale getaway we offer and hope future guests will enjoy it for exactly what it is intended to be, a peaceful and intimate retreat.
