Welcome to Hideaway Cove—your peaceful lake escape on one of the northernmost coves of Lake Lanier, where the Chestatee River feeds into the lake. Surrounded by nature yet only minutes from essentials, it’s the perfect base for relaxation or adventure.

Layout

Entry Level: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room

Lower Level: 2 rooms, 1 bathroom, family room with walk-out deck overlooking the lake

Basement (outside access): Game room

Although the listing shows two bedrooms, the home actually includes four and can comfortably sleep 10 adults.. We keep the listing conservative to avoid large groups and because of a records discrepancy—thank you for understanding!

Renters have full access to the entire home. Plenty of parking in the Y-shaped driveway (no parking on grass or street).

Location

A quaint neighborhood at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains—quiet and secluded, yet only 20 minutes from dining, shopping, and attractions. Expect to pass horses, sheep, and cows on the way in, and keep an eye out for deer at night!

This is a very pretty home that has a slight view of a cove on Lake Lanier. Well stocked and clean. 4 very good size bedrooms. There is a ton of steps to get from the main floor to the lower balcony and then more to the game room. Then another long run to the dock. They want you to observe quiet time at 10 since it’s in an existing neighborhood with close neighbors. Didn’t remember seeing that when booking. Overall it’s great for a family get away. Not a friends weekend out. No complaints. Just my review.

Home was clean and neat with a cabin feel. Came to kayak fish but weather changed to poor. 15 minute kayak ride to Lumpkin ramp, which was convenient to use dock for boats / kayaks. Nice stay. One thing, no garbage cans on site..

We had a great time at the lake. The house is perfect and set up well for our kids. We enjoyed the lake and canoe. Had a great trip, hope to come back again!

Great get away

The house was fine. The parking, in MY opinion, was a lil tight. The walkway down to the dock was not easy, in a safety way. The first railing was a lil shaky and the 'steps' were a lil rough. Again, just my opinion, there needs to be a built walkway, similar to the neighbors. But overall, our stay was great!

Beautiful and relaxing

The house and property is gorgeous! And the house was stocked whit what we needed. We had a great week. We definitely will come back. Would have liked to bring our little dog because every day the neighbors 2 little dogs ran around the property.

Lovely Weekend Getaway

We were in the area for a competition and stayed for the weekend. Quiet area directly on the lake. Our family of 7 had plenty of room. We enjoyed the game room and the homes amenities. Very relaxing!

Pre Christmas R and R

When I am planning a weekend getaway, I always look for places on a lake or is secluded woods. This property fit all of my criteria. We did a four town Christmas trip with our final stop in Dahlonega for all of the festivities there. Afterwards, we came back to the house and hung out in the peace and tranquility the house was blessed with. Although there were lots of things we could have done at the house, we took advantage of catching up with family and relaxing. Thanks Karla for allowing us into your home for the weekend...

Comfortable Family House

The two levels of the house offered the privacy our two families needed. It was very clean, spacious, and well stocked. We especially enjoyed sitting on top of the boat dock. I haven't been to any Georgia lakes before so didn't expect the water to be quite so muddy but enjoyed the use of the canoes.

Comfortable Lake House

My family and I liked this lake house, for the most part. It was comfortable and had enough room for everyone to sleep. The host, Karla, welcomed our suggestions to make it even more comfortable for the next guests. There was no Keurig coffee machine as the pictures show, but the Ninja coffee machine worked just fine. There were a lot of steps to get to the dock. Fortunately for me, there was a porch swing about half way up to take a breather. The game room, unfortunately smelled moldy, so I feared for our health and we didn't use it as much as we wanted. There were a lot of spiders and webs at the dock, so we were unable to get to the second level. I recommend bringing extra towels if you don't want to wash them every day. Also, I recommend bringing laundry detergent. There were enough towels for one day, for 7 people. The cove and the neighborhood was very quiet. We brought a lot of water sports/gear and the owners also provide two canoes for the guests to use. Thanks to the lake house owners and by God's grace, we made good memories.

Perfectly peaceful

The peace and quiet is just what the doctor ordered. What an amazing getaway! The home is clean, spacious, and beautiful. The cove is a perfect place to unwind. The host was always available and accommodating. The community is friendly and child friendly. We had a wonderful stay. Thanks so much!

Just perfect

Was a great stay at Karla’s house on Lake Lanier. North part of Lanier has shallow water but was a very quiet, well-kept house
