Great property plenty of room for the whole family. Rental golf cart right on property made it so much easier. Enjoyed our stay hopefully we’ll be visiting again.

Nice little cottage we stayed on the beach all day came up showered and went out at night. So didn’t do much else there but sleep and shower. Convenient they have a golf cart you can rent and it’s cheaper then renting form the golf cart places.

The apartment was very comfortable and we enjoyed grilling outside, sitting on the deck, and being close to activities in Ocracoke.We met the host on our entrance, but she stayed quietly away during our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at The Scottie D. It was conveniently located near the ferry. It was clean. It was especially nice to have hand soap, dishwasher pods, dish detergent, and toilet paper provided. Everything was just as it was described on VRBO. We had a problem with the tv and I reached out to Ellen and she responded immediately and offered to come help us with it which we gladly accepted her offer. It took her about 10 minutes and everyone was happy. Scottie D was perfect for the 4 of us.

Booking with Ellen and Grant is like going on a childhood vacation and staying with family. Salt of the earth kind of people with a beautiful Ocracoke style home that was exactly as described. The biggest worry you will have is figuring out how quickly you can come back!

This was an awesome little house ! It was clean and spacious. Ac was nice and cold which is a must for Ocracoke humidity ! Hosts responded to messages promptly and when we rented our golf cart from them it was delivered to the driveway and was less expensive than other services on the island . (Golf carts are definitely way to putt around the island ) would definitely book from them again if the need arises. Thanks again for the wonderful time renting from you all.

We loved our visit to Ocracoke Island! It is a unique off the beaten path coastal destination. I guess the ferry ride sorts out casual flyby folks. Russel and Ellen's place was perfect for two couples. It has everything you need. The location is excellent. You could walk most places, if need be. The hosts were friendly, super knowledgeable and responsive. The beach closest to town was gorgeous. Lots of great restaurants for such a small town. Thank you for taking such great care of us!

This home was amazing! It’s just off the main road and so close to everything. We also had the golf cart which made exploring the town so much fun! Huge deck on the ground level and the entrance is just around the corner on the right. Full bedroom and bathroom on both levels so it worked perfectly for my partner and I traveling with his dad. Kitchen is stocked with the essentials but we are glad we brought our large stock pan for our crab boil we cooked. Nice 2nd floor patio off the kitchen and great natural light. Ac worked great too. Russell and Ellen are quick to respond to any questions and were wonderful hosts. Can’t wait to visit again! Will definitely be staying here on our next trip.

The hosts were Great and checked on us and said let them know if we needed anything. The quaint little cottage was clean and convenient to everything, had all you need to have a relaxing Wonderful Beach Getaway!!! :)
