Relax and unwind in this charming 4-bedroom coastal home nestled among cypress trees, just steps from the beauty of the Watsonville Slough and Monterey Bay. Enjoy views of the famous “Last Mile” of the slough and peek-a-boo ocean views from this second-row location.
The home comfortably sleeps guests with one king, two queen, and one full beds. Step outside onto the spacious deck to grill, dine, or simply soak in the peaceful surroundings. A propane grill and outdoor dining table make it easy to enjoy meals in the fresh coastal air.

We stayed three nights in this beautiful home. Great layout for a 3 generation family, grandparents on the top floor, grandchildren and their parents on the ground floor. Very quiet, living area open and spacious. Well equipped kitchen, short walk to the beach, highly recommend!

What a gem

Lou Ann’s place was incredible. Everything was clean upon arrival, place was spacious, and it was so close to the beach. Would definitely stay again if we have the opportunity to do so!

This is a very comfortable house. Excellent communication. Would definitely recommend. The only thing lacking for us was beach chairs and umbrellas, so we bought some and left them at the house. We had a wonderful stay and would stay again!

Wonderful Beach House

This multi-level house had plenty of space for our family (7 adults and 2 children) and was furnished nicely. The beds were very comfortable. We loved the ocean views, the many decks, and being able to walk to the beach so easily. We hope to stay there again.

Home by the beach

We had a lovely time at this home. It was welcoming and well maintained, the host was very helpful over email before our visit and the house was a short walk to the beach. The kitchen was nicely stocked with equipment and the beds were all comfortable.

Monterey Beach Stay

Great access to the beach! Enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and sense of privacy. Check-in process was a bit challenging due to the main office hours being later than posted, caused us to backtrack from gate house to office unexpectedly. Overall, a great experience.

Lovely!

Enjoyed a weekend stay with friends to celebrate my husband's birthday. The house was clean and inviting and a good amount of space for the 7 of us. It was an easy walk to the beach and had several outdoor seating areas to take in the views and sounds of the sea. Thank you!

What a beautiful home! It is beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you might need. It was perfect for our family get together. We gathered for meals and long conversations around the dining room table, we walked on the beach collecting sand dollars, we read on deck, watched the sunsets, and went sightseeing in town. This house is big enough for a large group but has plenty of nooks to escape for quiet time. The only thing to be aware of is there are a lot of stairs and our elderly parents had to be careful. Otherwise ... it is perfect.

Great host and property for a family beach getaway

We had a great day with our family and easy beach access for our group. Host was amazing, house had more then we expected for spices, cooking utensils etc, it was fully stocked we’ll be coming back again soon!

Pleasant Beach & House

The house location was near Watsonville, a rural area growing strawberries and vegetables. We weren't close to Monterey or shops or many restaurants, but the gated community the house was located in was lovely. We were a 5 minute walk to an empty, beautiful sandy beach. The houses were built on sand dunes and the area was covered in 2' dune grass, ice plants and bushes. Very pretty. The air was cool and the sun was warm and it was quiet. No road or airplane noise or noisy neighbors. The house had a good size yard, was not close to neighboring houses and was airy with large windows and sliding glass doors. It seemed quite safe. This house was close to parking and a rarely used drive and parking area. The front door of the house was two flights up from the trex boardwalk. Inside the door were stairs up to the living room and kitchen and stairs down to 3 bedrooms and one bath. The fourth bedroom was on the third floor and had a bathroom. The interior was clean, attractively furnished and appointed and comfortable. There were several sizable balconies and a grill. One of us stopped at Costco and bought a lot of food in San Jose on the drive, so we did all our own cooking. One day we drove in to the Carmel area which was about a 40 minute drive to view a wedding venue. For us, it was perfect as we just wanted to hang out together with our 8 month grandbaby and family. The baby, 7 adult family members and the beach were the main attractions. The instructions were to go to a Real Estate office to pick up the key to the house. The man we spoke to there told us we had to go to the gate to obtain it and acted like we were incorrect to even ask for it.. His verbal direction was pitiful and he was not friendly. When we got to the gate house, they told us we needed to get the key at the RE office. When I told them that was not possible, they made some phone calls and eventually produced a key. All this was disconcerting. The key worked, but it was difficult to remove the key as the lock appeared to be quite corroded. The owner did call me which was appreciated. She said we were supposed to get a welcome packet, but we never saw one. There was a loose leaf binder with info in it at the house. Maybe that was what she was referring to? I rated it an overall 4 because of the difficulty of getting the key and locking and unlocking the house. I had the impression the house was in an urban area which it was not.

Perfect for family

We were 2 families with 4 adults and 4 seven year old kids. Lou Ann's home was just perfect for relaxing and as a base for exploring the incredible Monterey Bay region. The home has a lovely, quiet, calming vibe; created by the beautiful woodwork and finishes, the very comfortable beds and furniture, and of course the soothing sound of the ocean just a few steps from the door. The kitchen is a dream to cook in, and the dining and living area made for great family hangouts. We will definitely stay here again!

Great location

It was everything it says in the description. Everything you need is there. The views were great and the proximity to the beach was excellent, and 100 steps is perfectly accurate. The kitchen is completely stocked and updated, the baths rooms are updated and gorgeous, the common space in the house was perfect for the 7 adults staying there. The internet was strong (not sure if that is an apt description but we had no problems connecting). The only issue was what to do with the keys when done. It was unclear what to do with them. A note next to the note about the trash location would be great.

Perfect beachside home for family gathering

Lou Ann's place was perfect! Pajaro Dunes is lovely. The house was in great condition. Dreamy main floor with so many windows, plentiful and comfy seating inside and out and perfectly upgraded kitchen with EVERYTHING you need to cook. Comfy beds. We got the window filled upstairs suite. Plenty big enough to have the little guy sleep in there with us. The three other bedrooms are downstairs, with one having ocean views. Short walk to the huge incredible sandy beach, short enough that it was easy to run back and forth for bathroom runs :-) There were so few people on the beach despite it being 4th of July, we loved the privacy. With cousins, a shovel, some kites, and some hot chocolate, we were entertained all week!

Great Family Getaway

This house was perfect for our needs. We had 5 adults and two 11-year-olds and there was plenty of space. Lou Ann let us know there were a lot of stairs and she was right to warn us. There are a lot of stairs, but it wasn't an issue for any of us. That said, I appreciated that she noticed we were bringing our mom and wanted to make sure the place would work for her. She was also very responsive when we had questions and there were no surprises when we arrived. The house had generous supplies (not always the case with VRBO homes) and we had no issues. Pajaro Dunes has been a family vacation spot for years. We'll definitely keep this place on our short list of options.
