This private studio retreat in Nauvoo is perfect for couples, small families, temple visitors, and remote workers looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay. Located just a short walk from the Nauvoo Temple and historic sites, you can easily explore town on foot and return to a quiet, relaxing space.

The studio comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests and features a Queen bed and a futon-style convertible sofa. The layout is open and spacious, offering a full kitchen, dining area, and living space all in one thoughtfully designed setting.

A dedicated work-from-home desk makes it easy to stay productive during longer visits. High-speed WiFi and smart TV access are included for both work and relaxation.

The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals, and the unit includes a full bathroom for your private use.

The studio has its own private entrance and is completely separate from the main house. If the larger home is occupied, guests do not share interior spaces.

Restaurants and shops are just a 3 to 5 minute walk away, and a well-stocked Dollar General is conveniently located next door for groceries and essentials.

This space is ideal for a peaceful getaway, extended temple visit, or overflow lodging for larger family gatherings nearby.

Note: The studio is attached to the main home but is fully separate with a private entrance. The main house may be occupied by other guests during your stay. The studio can also be booked together with the main house for larger groups, subject to availability.

Note: Shower has a higher step-in than a typical tub/shower due to the space's design and may not be suitable for guests with mobility limitations.

The studio was spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, and small appliances. I also liked the bathroom having a cabinet offering plenty of towels and TP, and the water in the shower heated up quickly. Also, it is conveniently located to historical sites.I could not give it a full five stars though because there was a problem with the door. The Schlage lock works great, giving an added sense of security, but the wooden door jam apparently swelled from the heat and humidity and opened only an inch or so. I could not open it or close the door again. According to the owner, it sometimes stuck a little. I had to body slam it three or four times whenever I wanted to enter. To close it, I had to get a good swing started and show no mercy as it shook the door jam when I slammed it shut.Plus, the bathtub/shower sits up on an extra step. Even with the handicap assist handle on the wall, it was a little nerve wracking stepping over the tub and onto the narrow step before making it to the floor.I’m 67 years old and luckily in good physical shape (although my left shoulder is bothering me a little from opening the door). I would not recommend this place for anyone requiring physical assistance from a walker or wheelchair, nor for a senior who is not in good physical strength or who struggles with balance.

I’m very sorry for the difficulty you experienced with the entry door. The recent heat and humidity caused the wooden door and frame to swell considerably more than we had previously experienced. We have already addressed and corrected the door issue following your stay, so future guests should not experience the same difficulty opening or closing it. Regarding the tub/shower, we completely understand that the elevated configuration may not be comfortable for every guest, particularly those with mobility or balance concerns. We do our best to make this clear before booking by noting the higher step-in and mobility considerations in the listing description, along with a photo showing the tub/shower, step, and assist handle. We appreciate the feedback and will continue making this feature as clear as possible so guests can determine whether the space will be a comfortable fit for their needs.
