This modern condo is located in Barrio Escalante, San José’s main food and culture district. The area is central, lively, and very walkable, with excellent restaurants and cafés nearby.
Please note this is an urban location, and nearby train activity can be heard at times. Guests comfortable with typical city sounds tend to have the best experience.
The condo is well equipped for short or extended stays, with space to relax, work, and explore the city. For guests who enjoy vibrant city life.

Barrio Escalante is one of San José’s most vibrant and walkable neighbourhoods, famous for its trendy cafés, gourmet restaurants, and lively cultural scene. Barrio Escalante is a very walkable neighbourhood — most restaurants, cafés, and shops are just a few minutes away on foot. For longer trips, it’s easy to catch an Uber or taxi, and public buses run frequently to downtown San José and nearby areas. The city’s local train also connects to a few neighbouring towns, though most visitors find ride-shares and buses more convenient. If you’re driving, there’s convenient parking available at an additional cost. Many guests choose to explore on foot or by ride-share since everything is so close and well-connected. The Interbus shuttle office is located very close to the building and they offer shuttle service to many Costa Rican destinations including Nicaragua.

Only guests registered on the reservation and included in the guest registry are permitted on the property. Unregistered visitors are not allowed inside the condo or in common areas, including the pool and amenities areas, in accordance with building security policies and condominium regulations. Failure to comply with these rules may result in a fine between USD $75 and $350, as determined by building administration
1. Social Areas & Amenities
The gym, swimming pool, coworking space, and lounge are available for guest use, subject to building rules, capacity limits, and schedules.
Yoga and meeting rooms require advance reservation through your host.
Special amenities (including the cinema, game room, and other social spaces) require advance reservation by the host and are available only to guests staying six (6) nights or more.
Outside visitors are not permitted to use any social or common areas.
2. Smoke-Free Building
URBN is a 100% smoke-free building. Smoking is not permitted
Inside the apartment
On balconies or terraces
In any common or social areas
This includes cigarettes, cigars, pipes, hookahs, vapes, or similar products.
3. Noise
Please be considerate of neighbors and keep noise levels reasonable at all times, particularly during the evening hours. Loud music or disruptive behavior is not permitted.
4. Visitors
For stays of five (5) nights or fewer, visitors are not permitted inside the apartment or building.
For stays of six (6) nights or more, visitors require prior written authorization from the property owner or building administration.
5. Balcony Safety
For everyone’s safety, do not throw any objects or liquids from balconies. This includes food, drinks, or any other items.
6. Conduct
Any behavior that is disruptive, inappropriate, or contrary to community standards is not permitted in apartments or common areas.
7. Garbage & Recycling
Regular household garbage may be disposed of in the garbage chute on your floor.
Do not place diapers, glass bottles, cardboard boxes, or large items in the chute.
Recycling must be separated and taken to the garbage room on Basement Level 1.
8. Drones
The use of drones anywhere on or around the property is not permitted, as it may affect the privacy of residents.
9. Photography
Commercial photography or filming in common or social areas is not permitted. URBN is a registered trademark, and prior authorization is required.
10. Guests must shower in the designated pool showers beside the pool prior to entering the pool.
